One thing people always forget to mention in these is that, out of the box, with zero mods, you can load .40 S&W and have zero failures. I do it at the range all the time. I have shot 500 rounds through my gen4 G29 with a mix of cold and hot .40, and cold and hot 10mm, with both 10 and 15rd mags with zero failures. The G29 is the by far the most versatile pistol ever made.
I purchased a G29 earlier this year and added the extended magazines, I must say it has increased my accuracy way better with the extended magazines, plus the short ten round can put a beating on me at the range. Now I just love the hell out of it. G30 also has been very good to me.

Just ran across your input on the 10 mm I agree 101%. I really like my Glock's 20 and 29. I also favor the 357 Sig. When my Wife and I go to AZ., NV., UT. I usually carry my G29 in 357 Sig caliber. Thanx for the video, look forward to more.
I have a Glock 20. I had wanted one for many years. Finally bought one. Believe or not I don't like it. I have 2 Glock 9mm 1 Glock 40 caliber and a Glock 45 caliber. Those are good.
I just got my G 20 last week. I can't believe that people complain about the recoil, being heavy, blah blah blah. When I started in law enforcement I used 357 magnum. Then we went to the 40 Smith. The G 20 is no problem if you know the basics. If you focus on the fundamentals, train a lot on your own money. Then through this training you become better. I have a Glock 21 sf. It has a lot of recoil. I think more than the G 20. I love the 45 acp. It's an excellent cartridge. 10 mm ammunition is not expensive to practice. I usually shoot about 500-600 rounds a month. I train for personal defense only. I don't use the bear and heavy loads.
Underground Miner try the DPM multiple spring Recoil Reduction System it helps with felt recoil and muzzle flip but mainly it saves your frame from a beating when using hot loads. 10mm was meant to be a 200 grain bullet traveling 1700 fps and in my opinion settling for weak loaded ammo is not an option.
AZ Trigger, I don't normally give accolades for those who managed to share their knowledge on different types of ammunitions, but you really did an exceptional job of doing your homework! Thank you.
this is the only glock I'll buy honestly. this was my first glock and 10mm I fired and I loved it, the one I had was also compensated so I had a nice v flame shooting around 6pm
Walter Back in the 80’s & 90’s everyone in my local IPSC-USPSA-plates-bowling pin , Wednesday night club referred to the 9mm as the “9 magnificent milli-nothing” 😜 I still call it that. 💩
Ya but the size doesn't change. One of the reasons why the U.S. Military ditched the 1911 was because 8 rounds of .45 in a magazine is rather pathetic. It was certain that they were going to change to a 9mm pistol. They obviously view magazine capacity as being more important than bullet power. Even the new SIG pistol they switched to is 9mm.
Your accuracy results mirror my experience exactly. I too was surprised at the accuracy of my Glock 29 at 50' and under which are good defensive ranges.
I wasnt paying close attention, just listening when i heard that. I was like “jigga watt???” And backed the video up to see if he said that or I was losing it😂
10mm was one of the calibers I never owned, or fired, until I bought my Glock 20. I fell in love with the caliber immediately! It’s accurate, powerful and feels so natural in my hand. I added a better connector, did a minor under cut on the trigger guard, added night sights, Talon friction grip and full length stainless guide rod. Stainless pins were added for appearance and for corrosion resistance if it gets wet in the woods. I plan on buying the model 40 for hunting and the 29 for Summer carry. I have numerous handguns, including a total of 6 Glocks, of various calibers. The Glock 20 is my go to gun and always travels with me in my Jeep, sits on my night stand and is always within reach in my home. Did I mention that I love this caliber?😁
It took me 8 months to find a Glock 29 and one day when I went to rural king to pick up my Rough Rider .22lr SA $129 gun I looked down in the glass case and Lowe n behold right there winking at me was a brand new Glock 29 gen 4 as the salesman asked me to wait at computer for background check I said I want this Bad MoFo right here ! It took all my money I had and I ate peanut butter n jelly for a whole week after that non planned purchase but I couldn’t be happier with this gun! I have the glocks 26, 34 and the 40MOS long slide , now the 29 finishes off my G collection nicely . If you can find the 29 I highly recommend it 🤩 Freedom!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You want to make sure you up the recoil spring in the 29 if you're shooting Underwood. You can get them from Wolff springs. The standard rsa is too weak for fully loaded 10mm. A 21lb spring is optimal in the 29.
Thanks. A good common sense video addressing the 10mm, which is a reasonable compromise for anything short of Brown Bear or Grizzly Bear territory, in which case (in my opinion only) the 44 magnum is the smallest compromise round if your safety is truly a priority (and it should be). Generally, there are no second chances if you encounter a Brown Bear or Grizzly Bear. And most people in an emergency situation would not be able to make a CNS (headshot) shutting down the attack immediately. Forget those "I know a guy who knows a guy who killed a Grizzly with a 10mm". It's not worth the risk to lay your life on the line for one of these stories. If you ask a Park Ranger or Fish & Game officer, I expect that they will set you straight. You never know what you may be up against in terms of its size or aggression level. There's a huge difference between a 300 pound Black Bear and a 700 pound Brown Bear for example. Be safe. Get home to your family and friends. Don't take unnecessary risks. As for Ted Nugent, you may want to leave him out of your reviews...
The FBI, itself, scientifically, objectively, empirically determined that 10mm was the best self-defense round back in 1989. So...10mm for the hood AND the wood! That they subsequently shied away from it does nothing to undermine the science. They have opted for 9mm because it is sufficient. But it is not superior. 10mm still is.
In the woods, chris, It's all about accuracy and rate of fire when a brown bear is charging you. 10mm is the best of both firepower and rate of fire. With power and capacity beyond 357, it's everything you might need in a woods gun IMO. You won't kill one of those monsters with a half inch hole, especially when they tank their own kinds hits like it's a sack flower.
I've been running the 10mm Glocks for decades now. Amazing firearms and even having grown up on Magnum revolvers, I find the G20 makes them absolutely obsolete and antiquated. I've got 3 generations of G20's (2, 3 and 4, looking forward to the Gen 5) and a Gen 4 G29 (Not a big fan of the 29, I wish it was the shape/size of a G19/23 frankly cause the short grip sucks and the grip ext. moves independent of the frame which is a big thumbs down) and I carry the Gen 4 now, in a Kenai Chest-rig, religiously here in the NW when I'm in the backcountry and even as a CCW weapon in the colder months. I hand load specific loads for wilderness carry with solid-copper, shaped rounds (hard-cast lead is actually really poor performing by comparison, look into solid-copper, cause... it's vastly better in both penetration and soft tissue damage) but honestly SIG Elite 10mm is about the best 10mm ammo off the shelf you can get outside of Underwood (I don't like Buffalo Bore I find them to be a bit gimmicky and not very consistent). Also, those Glock holsters SUCK, come on man, they're GARBAGE, get a good Kydex system made-up before you loose your pistol... it's happened to me back in the day when I first started carrying Glocks
Dee-Bee Kooper you are 100% correct about the solid copper ammo, try Fort Smith TUI (tumble upon impact). It penetrates level 3 soft body armor and the tumble that happens after impacting soft tissue is devastating. I know this post is a couple of years old but for some reason the Fort Smith TUI still hasn't really caught on.
I held out on buying a Glock sticking to my usual Smith and Wesson Gen 3 10mm for most of my adult life then the S&W M&Ps. I ended up selling my S&W 10mm a little while back and regretted it as soon as I did as I replaced it with a 9mm for greater round capacity. In the Marines I was trained with the 9mm Berretta 92 so I was confident in the round for stopping people. Once I lost my wife I actually moved out of the city and back into the country where the loss of my 10mm was felt because of the threat of wild predators but I hated the 8 round mags for the S&W 1006 along with their inflated prices. Anyway I bought a Glock 40 gen4 MOS in 10mm and I could not be more satisfied with a pistol in my life. I am not a Glock fan boy by any means but to be totally honest I would rather have the Glock 40 over any S&W M&P chambered in any round, especially since the S&W M&P does not come in 10mm to my knowledge which is a huge mistake on S&W's part if you ask me. The 10mm is a far superior round to the 9mm in speed and hitting power not to mention if you have to shoot through light barricades to hit your target, like a car or inside wall. Out of all the weapons I own my Glock 40 is what I carry now with my mags full of Winchester silver tipped hollow point rounds. If you are going to buy a weapon to carry you might as well pay for a quality weapon that you can depend on and insure that you can protect yourselves with it by training correctly. The reason FBI agents were shooting more poorly was because of the power of the 10mm and I for one would rather practice with the more powerful weapon until I can defend myself with it safely than depend on a weapon that is easy to use right out of the gate. Even the 9mm +P doesn't cut it against the 10mm and while the 9mm will kill someone without doubt the 10mm will do it with less rounds on target, period. If you get caught in a life threatening situation, even though some people think that they are movie star characters like Dirty Harry, all shots fired are not on target so I want my shots to count.
@@BillBones-ee2cm Since this post I have actually switched ammo from the Winchester Silver Tip to the Underwood Ammo Extreme Defender. These little monsters are superpowered! Thank you for the thank you and you are welcome, I honestly believe everyone who is able should do two years, at least in the reserves when they turn 18, it is an experience. Try those bullets though, they penetrate more than anything I have ever shot.
10mm all the way g29 sf gen 3 and my trusted g19 gen 4 Glock rule to me. Actually I call them glicks because when it hits your body makes u stake all over 10mm awesome round and excellent video to.
Older video but I just watched it. Very informative. I have a Gen 4 G20 and a RIA 5” 1911 doublestack, both in 10mm. They both have the same capacity. To me I always explain the 10mm like this…it is a dual personality cartridge. You can shoot the regular 180 grain FMJ and the recoil feels no worse than a regular .40 caliber S&W round. And in actuality…to me it is less snappy due to the larger frame needed to run the 10. With that being said… once you switch to the more exotic ammo like the Underwood this cartridge turns plain nasty. I carry the 200 grain red hard nose myself on my property for encounters with pigs or whatever else I come across. Or they make lighter hollow points traveling at ridiculous speeds. This is where that cartridge shines and you go…ok, I see now the devastation this round can cause. One last tip…you can buy a drop in (Alpha Wolf) barrel for the G20 in .40 caliber and use the same 10mm mags for practice & plinking because the ammo is way cheaper right now than 10mm. Then just switch back to the 10mm barrel and reload your mags to hunt with the more expensive round. You are not going to see much difference in shooting the 180 grain FMJ vs the .40 except in price. And…because the G20 has the larger frame it makes shooting .40 S&W ammo feel like a 9mm. 👍
Just bought a new G20 Gen3! I have a 6 inch factory barrel that I bought at a pawn shop for $50.00 bucks, can't wait to test it out. My Kimber has an extra Wilson match barrel used also bought for $50.00 that needs to be fitted with a custom bushing. My Colt Delta elite is new and unfired that I bought used for collector purposes.
Man , excellent video. Trying to pick a side arm for the back country hunts, Hoping I'll never have to use it. this is what I needed to hear. Thank you.
You can order a 6in extended barrel from Glock for the Glock 20, and effectively turn it into a Glock 40. Only $150. I did that, and got amazing accuracy at the range
Great video! I have switched to 10mm as my backup outdoor pistol here in Alaska. I've read that the hardcast bullets may not be the best for stock glock barrels though...what do you think about that?
Glocks use polygonal rifling. Glock recommends that you don't use lead (non-steel jacketed) bullets in their guns. Because of the shape of polygonal rifling, there is an increased chance of lead build-up in the rifling grooves over time.
If you shoot a steady diet of hard cast bullets out of a stock Glock Barrel it can do damage to the rifling due to buildup. Some of the heavier Buffalo Bore 220 Grain ammo can also tumble out of a stock Glock Barrel. Here is what works for me: my outdoors carry loads include 200 Grain Underwood hard cast bullets and I practice will FMJ loads. When I do need to shoot the hard cast bullets which is very infrequently, they are no trouble. If you do find yourself shooting them with a steady frequency (not sure why you would want to), then you can always buy a drop-in barrel from Lonewolf that will handle all of these you want to put through them.
It baffles me how my shooting is identical to your findings. Science is pretty consistent with the longer barrel and larger platform creating more accurate shots but not in this case at least in my hands as well. I shoot the G29 much more accurately than my G20 even with my 6.2 inch Wolf barrel installed.
As of this date, buying factory ammo is cost prohibitive and therefore I hand assemble and reload all my 10mm Auto ammo. Edit: Interesting and informative channel. Subbed! 👍
The 10mm is #1 i agree, just get either 155gr. Underwood; or something full power in 200+gr. for "Bear". Plus please show a follow up on the Mec-tech upper for the models in 10mm. I just dont need the .44mag/50AE Desert Eagle anymore, or a revolver. plus capacity is triple!!!!
I'd love the 10mm but the majority of limited ammo available at brick and mortar stores is anemic for the 10mm performance potential, just barely more power than the .40 S&W at a much higher price. You have to buy online from Underwood or Buffalo Bore for the real 10mm types of ammo...the other option is reloading.
Ive been debating for a good month on whether to go with the glock 20, sig p220, or a 1911 10mm....i think the video sold me on the glock. I already have 2 sigs so i might as well give a glock a try.
those glock holsters are very underrated. dirt cheap, ultra light, and keeps tight against the body. i can conceal a g19 outside the waist band with flannel only with this holster.
Actually S&W developed the 40S&W. The 10mm came about for the FBI as a result of the lack of shot neutralizing from the 1986 Miami shoot out. So the FBI started down loading the 10mm and Smith developed the 40 S&W. Again, the most important aspect of 4 leg self defense is heavy for caliber and shot placement.....CNS. Lots of practice, situational awareness and a cool head. 😉😉😉
Chris Minneapolis: Obviously, I think I made my point with what I stated, but we learn to adopt to what we need and what we like. The popularity of the 10mm came about during the "Miami Vice" series and the Bren 10 which went belly up. Great concept weapon. Any round with proper ammo can be employed for any self defense situation. 😉
Will any G20 barrel fit a G29 without any problems. I haven't found any G20 barrels that are recommended for use in G29, and I've checked Lone Wolf and Lake. Thanks for any information.
*Yes, I agree.* I think there's a difference in comfort between Polymer and Metal frame 10mm. The metal ones, ie 1911 platforms, scare people away from this powerful and superior cartridge. They say it stings.....I wouldn't know, my G20sf is a joy to shoot. Get a GLOCK people, they shoot well. Oh, and the sf [small frame] model has a better purchase on the grip. It helps you pull the web of your hand in closer.
I carried a Colt Delta Elite as a duty weapon in the late 80s. My Glock 20sf is a much better gun for this cartridge. Much more comfortable and quite accurate
Im an avid handgun hunter and I own a Glock 40 MOS 10mm which I enjoy and have killed 2 feral hogs with at roughly 25 yds apiece from a tree stand....but I'll always be partial to big bore wheel guns (44 mag & 454 Casull)
I agree, the Smith & Wesson has a double reset that I don't like, the Sigg has been known to discharge without pulling the trigger, 1911s need too much cleaning in 10 mm, the Glock 40mos in 10mm is the only one in this group that is better than the 20 or 29. But the 40 is hard to carry for self-defense. But as a great gun for the woods. The only one other of these that I would recommend as being second on the list is the XM elite by Springfield.
@@thelastdragon3242 What are you smoking dude. 10mm is a very powerful round. Nearly reaches light loads of a .41 mag. It’s very controllable in the right platform. I can get 3 shots on target compared to just one from a .44 mag. Know your facts before you comment, you sound stupid.
Excellent review! Great idea demonstrating how your view is based on facts. Not seen anyone show their targets before as proof of what you're talking about. Just subscribed and liked.
I have always liked the 10mm and last year it proved it's worth. We were up in Alaska where my friend has a high ranking job in the wildlife management of most Alaskan areas and what not. Another friend and I got convinced especially when he said he would pay for our flight. Hunters and Outdoorsmen all of our lives Alaska is like the Holy Grail in North American big game. Also what made this trip even better was my buddy had aquired a moose tag. Well I've. Never seen such great quality of large game animals, all the way from things like moose and Elk, very big quality bucks, and what I wanted to see, the ultimate North American game animal, the grizzly bear, or brown bear. He told us we were in some land that was actually having a problem do to overpopulation of bears there. While on my friends moose hunt a call my other buddy gets to check out this small town called Big Bear, population 200. It was more of like an outpost where people rode in on snow machines and even dogs and sleds to purchase anything from new chainsaws to generators, a must in that part of Alaska. Anyway there had been several incidents of a very brazen bear that was coming into the place at night wrecking havoc. It had killed a horse this time and severely wounded the other. On top of this a hiker was mauled by what he described as a large grizzly. He was saved because some other hikers hearf his screams and one having a pistol was able to get this bear to flee. We knew this bear was big and Game and Fish wanted it dead. We went along with our buddy still looking for a moose, but all cocentration on this bear. I had my glock 28 10mm with me and that was it as I had no reason to be carrying any high powered rifle without a tag. We set ourselves up in an area where he seemed to be coming in from most of the time, but to no avail. Next day my buddy sees a massive Bull Moose and although he scores to what looked to be a damn good shot to the boiler room, the moose runs into some very thick terrain. We find blood and began to navigate through this nasty area expecting to come up on him soon. Then it starys drizzling and we lose the bloodtrail. We were searching about a hundrid yard radius and could not find it. Next day we go out again to look in this area because of its thickness and vegitation even a downed moose could be within twenty yards and you can miss him. Lets expand the search further out was the plan and while in this one thick area my buddy stumbles across a lot of blood and curiously a lot of moose hair. He calls me toward the area because you could tell that the damn moose either crawled this way into some thick vegitation and trees or was dragged down into a dense little canyon. He suddenly sees the moose's huge antlers and begans approchingn. I'm following but have not caught up to him. Then suddenly I hear a shot followed immediately by a second. That damn grizzly had found the kill and dragged the moose off during the night to a place he liked and began eating it. My friend startled the bear and he charged. Unable to score a hit or even scare it, it continued charging. I got within forty yarfs pulling my 10mm out, gap closing fast by this point bear is 20 yards and closing. I fire a shot striking his shoulder, still coming, I'm firing again and this time get ucky hitting him on the head. These grizzly skulls are no joke either, and I was using hollow points so I wasnt sure if Ide get any good penetration. My third shot missed and then suddenly he took a nose dive. Dead seven yards in front of us. So it turned out this big old bruiser was the bear creating all the havoc. My lesson and proof to anyone is that if you can stop a charging grizzly that big with this caliber, then let alone a human. Great sidearm for bear, good for humans, but way overkill and penetration. Anyway the 10mm you cant beat in especially. Semi- automatic handguns.
Steve Vigil ......i don't understand that statement " over kill......is there such a thing as under kill ,given that everything has an opposite ". The 10 did what it was supposed to do ( dispatch what it's discharged into ..... no ) ? If it took you 3 rounds to stop the threat - i would hardly call that over kill..... Imagine if you had a 9mm instead 😂😂😂😂 , you probably would'nt be able to type your awesome story eeh😎

9 mm ammo is now ridiculous compared to 10mm ammo prices. Even .40 is ridiculously high. Miss the hood old days. Picked up a G20 because of the ammo prices and availability for 9/.40 is astronomical in 2020. So I carry G22 and G20 in the trucks now
I LOVE My 586 in 357 magnum. I recently bought a Glock 20. Strangly 10mm ammo is available where I live. NO 9mm anywhere. Plenty of 9mm handguns in the display case at the Big gun seller... but no 9mm to run them. VERY strange. I want to thank Bary Sotero for my ammo stockpile. Living thru the worst Presidency in US History taught me to never count on stores for my ammo. When things calm down, prices will fall.. YOU should have an ammo stockpile.
I've had a couple Glock 20s, they shoot better groups than that... I would have rested that on a sandbag to demonstrate accuracy, people are going to say "OMG! I'm going to stick with my 1911 or Sig 10mm!" 3" at 25 yards is very doable with the G20, and the low bore axis mitigates the recoil very well with the hotter ammo.
No lie, this probably the best 10mm video on UA-cam.

If you're gonna shoot 40 why have a 10mm? I know it's ok to do but just get a 40. People get 10mm for the 10mm ammo and it's power
For the range .40 is $45 for 100 and 10mm is $49 for 50. You don’t necessarily need the extra 200 fps for target practice.
@@cdevlin79 . 10mm is the same price as 40 in my area and I've test it it's true 10mm power
I purchased a G29 earlier this year and added the extended magazines, I must say it has increased my accuracy way better with the extended magazines, plus the short ten round can put a beating on me at the range.
Now I just love the hell out of it.
G30 also has been very good to me.
Same here.
Glad to see 10mm making a come back! ! Great commentary! !!

I couldn't agree more. I love my 10mm. Its the best. Thank you!
Ditto: I have a Glock 20SF and love it. When in bear country I change to a Wolf barrel with hard cast bullets. Looking forward to getting a Glock 40 with red dot site.
I have the 29 and the 40mos long slide , I love these 10mm pistols , they handle that round well especially my Glock 40mos hitting 8” target at 100yards is a breeze 🤩
Same for me. 40 is my woods, night stand gun. 29 is my carry gun. Love them both. I’ve been a 10mm fan for many years. Bad ass cartridge! Stay safe friend.
I have the 9mm, .380, .45 & all the normal stuff, but my 2 favorite handgun rounds are both a little out of the mainstream.
5.7x28 & 10mm.
Both amazing in their full power forms & for totally different reasons.
That 5.7x28 is a bad mf. Seeing the ballistics how it tumbles around is impressive
I put the extention/grip on my G29 mag, & it printed during my inside apendix conceal carry. So I use the standard mags for conceal, & have a G20 spare mag in my non-trigger hand cargo pocket.
I absolutely LOVE this pistol!
For me, my glock 29 is going to be my everything gun
Woods and town
That's why I call my G29 the town and country carry pistol.
Just got a new 1911 colt defender elite ,
Man it's nice 👌 too.
I just bought a Glock 29 I was also thinking about purchasing the Glock 20 , do I actually need the g20??
@@occain8810
The Glock 20 is a big gun. Big grip, thick, heavy and bulky. But, the extra barrel length will give you a bit more velocity, and the longer grip will give you I better hold. I bought the 20 after I bought the 29, and I swapped them out depending on where I'm going to be. I'm going to be in the woods all day , I take the 20, if I'm going to be between town and the woods, I take the 29
@@MrExplorer1965 thanks for the info, so I think I’m gonna just settle with my g29

I have and love both of the 10mm Glocks. Recoil is very manageable. I would love for Glock to come out with a single stack model 36 style in 10mm
& a carbine conversion kit for the G20/G40. Imagine adding an 8" barrel with a flash supressor, & running +P 200 grains in a carbine seteup with those Kriss Vector 30 round mags! (mind blown)
Rocky CA.. Too bad you live in such a liberal state. I was born in California but got the fuck out as soon as I could. Too many gun restrictions.
I have a Glock 20. I had wanted one for many years. Finally bought one. Believe or not I don't like it. I have 2 Glock 9mm 1 Glock 40 caliber and a Glock 45 caliber. Those are good.
You explain things so easy you don’t complicate things you lay it out all so simple to understand thank you
I just got my G 20 last week.
Especially if you buy a heavier recoil spring.
I used 22lbs because I shot only hot ammo.
Just a hard push. My 6" 357 recoiled like it hated me.
Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback - much appreciated!
I hope the 10 mm gets the popularity it deserves it’s about time 🥰
Me, too. The price might come down. 😃
Edit: ammo price, I mean.
G20 SF Loaded with underwood 200 gr jhp is my everyday carry. Dogs travel in packs so be ready
this is the only glock I'll buy honestly. this was my first glock and 10mm I fired and I loved it, the one I had was also compensated so I had a nice v flame shooting around 6pm
cheezyweezz Changed the factory spring out and got the 6.61 AlphaWolf barrel and a buffer in there... spend the money
I always hear the line that the 9mm ammo has evolved over the years but some fail to mention so has the .40s&w and .45acp
Walter
Back in the 80’s & 90’s everyone in my local IPSC-USPSA-plates-bowling pin ,
Wednesday night club referred to the 9mm as the “9 magnificent milli-nothing” 😜
I still call it that. 💩
And so has the 10.
9 mm is a joke
Can’t beat the 10mm! Best semiauto round out there.
Even the new SIG pistol they switched to is 9mm.
i love my glock 40 in 10 mm
its an absolute monster of a gun.
Your accuracy results mirror my experience exactly. I too was surprised at the accuracy of my Glock 29 at 50' and under which are good defensive ranges.
I have a 29 and a 40. Cool thing about the 29 is it accepts g20 mags. Put a sleeve on it and you have a full size grip.
Extended magazines 20 makes the 29 a perfect fit for large hands and confident shooting for me.

Just bought the G29. Can't wait to get it. Excellent overview! Thanks!
I bought a 29 last week, love it.
Did you ever buy the 29? Which do you prefer
How about carry.??
If you can find the 29 I highly recommend it 🤩
Freedom!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
9mm for the hood, 10mm for the woods.
Mr. G wack as shit I ever heard no offense
Chris Minneapolis wrong. 10mm are excellent as a bear deterrent.
10mm for the hood, Ten millimeters for the woods.
For real.
10mm for ever !!!
My favorite all around G20.
Great video, thank you sir, just got a G29 and love it...!
I’ve taken deer and black bears with the 10mm.
Just curious. How many shots did you put in the bear?
10mm all the way g29 sf gen 3 and my trusted g19 gen 4 Glock rule to me. Actually I call them glicks because when it hits your body makes u stake all over 10mm awesome round and excellent video to.
100% hands down the best breakdown of the Glock 20 and 29!
What's awesome is they finally make 30rd extended mags from the Glock 20, not the crap converted 45 acp mags that they sell.
Yeah, today a 50 round box of 200 grain +P defence rounds is North of $60 each, but worth every penny!
Just bought a new G20 Gen3! I have a 6 inch factory barrel that I bought at a pawn shop for $50.00 bucks, can't wait to test it out.

My favorite is 10mm Underwood 200 grain xtp at 1,250 fps energy 700 ftlbs
Great ammo but both Buffalo Boar and Underwood have a 220 grain bullet also with about the same ballistics.
The G20 and 29 are my favorite Glocks in my collection and I recommend them to my friends. I definitely want to add a G40 to my collection.
I disagree. 10mm is ideal for two legged predators. Semi automatic version of the.357 magnum, and more powerful than .357 Sig.
Agreed
I didn't know that about the polygonal rifling thank you!
AZ Trigger makes me think, what are the best upgrades for the glock 20 or 40?....
Trijicon Type 2 RMR. You won't regret it.
Very intelligent, informative and educating video! It was a pleasure watching it! Thank you!
The aftermarket barrel is also needed for the hard-cast bullets.
Yeah if they are heavy. I think I’m gonna go with the UW xtreme penetrators instead so I can still use the stock barrel.
I have 200g double tap in my g20 nightstand gun and in my g29 gen 4 carry gun. It's great self defense ammo specifically made for 10mm.
Don't forget to upgrade your recoil springs...I have 20lb for standard ammo and 22 for hot loads...reduce recoil tremendously in my g20

It baffles me how my shooting is identical to your findings. Science is pretty consistent with the longer barrel and larger platform creating more accurate shots but not in this case at least in my hands as well. I shoot the G29 much more accurately than my G20 even with my 6.2 inch Wolf barrel installed.
Bravo!! One of the best reviews I’ve seen in a looooooong time
I shoot 40 s&w out of a 10mm g29 all the time. I have heard of three local accidents of glock 29 blowing up firing bear loads.
As of this date, buying factory ammo is cost prohibitive and therefore I hand assemble and reload all my 10mm Auto ammo.
Edit:
Interesting and informative channel. Subbed!
Excellent video! You have great vocal and presentation skills!
Ive been debating for a good month on whether to go with the glock 20, sig p220, or a 1911 10mm....i think the video sold me on the glock. I already have 2 sigs so i might as well give a glock a try.
10 is a 10...

US military folk tell me that the Rules of Engagement relegated their pistols to 9mm. Fortunately Gen. Maddis dismissed those in '17. Great vid. Ty.
those glock holsters are very underrated. dirt cheap, ultra light, and keeps tight against the body. i can conceal a g19 outside the waist band with flannel only with this holster.
Where can you find that Glock holster?
yeap i used underwood 180 and 200gr in my glock 20
I own both. Love my 10mm Glocks. I actually shoot the 29 better.
Excellent informational video. One of the best I've seen. Thank you!
What about the 357 Sig. it's just a 40 caliber that's been necked down to shoot 9 mm diameter bullets at high velocities. Has less recoil than a 10 mm
i have a glock 29 and on occasion i put a glock 20 barrel in the firearm. i use underwood 155 grain.
Will any G20 barrel fit a G29 without any problems. I haven't found any G20 barrels that are recommended for use in G29, and I've checked Lone Wolf and Lake. Thanks for any information.
I love my Glock 20 SF.. . you never want to put it down.
*Yes, I agree.*
I think there's a difference in comfort between Polymer and Metal frame 10mm.
Much more comfortable and quite accurate

ahh you have tiny hands....cute.
Very good presentation.
Plain and simple and not going off talking jibberish like other videos I seen .
I think you should try the Doubletap ammo as well.
I love my Glock 20 I pack everywhere I go in the woods!!! It will stop bear, cougar and big wolfs.
LOL a bear! If you shoot it directly in the brain.

Yeah the sig ammo is pretty powerful i had to finish a hog with it after the damn thing charged me and surprisingly the fmj round did the job
It was my glock 20 not 28, sorry for the mix up.
Glock 28 is a .380. I thought it was a typo, but you typed it again. Makes the story....a bit...fishy.
But it’s the internet...
Thanks Stevie V...way to write a dang book about your adventure...geez!
The Desert Eagle is a semi that chambers 357, 44 and 50AE. And if you what to conceal carry there is a light weight smaller version that chambers 357 and 44
Love my 10mm's
9 mm ammo is now ridiculous compared to 10mm ammo prices. Even .40 is ridiculously high. Miss the hood old days. Picked up a G20 because of the ammo prices and availability for 9/.40 is astronomical in 2020. So I carry G22 and G20 in the trucks now
I’ve got a 10mm pcc - I’ll need a 10mm pistol to go with it
Well presented and well spoken. Very informative; thank you.
Amazing review, very informative and straight to the point. Just subscribed 👍
Great video! Glock 29 an outstanding pistol, Underwood 135gr. urban 180gr or 200gr for mountains.
This was extremely informative. Much appreciated, especially because I'm still very new to shooting.

Biggest damage come from higher Kinetic Energy of a bullet:
Bullet velocity (more powder, better powder, bigger case) 4 time increase the damage see example below
Bullet weight (more grain) 2 time increase the damage see example below
Bullet length (more weight will carry more energy for longer distance)
Shape of the bullet (spritzer/pointed projectile/bullet with a pointed nose has aerodynamic shape for better retain energy and speed,)
Barrel length (for more speed we need enough length/time to burn all the powder)
Gravitational acceleration (farther distance from the Gun will make less damage)

Truth about 10mm & bears
new stainless barrel always tightens up accuracy
I'm going to stick with my 1911 or Sig 10mm!" 3" at 25 yards is very doable with the G20, and the low bore axis mitigates the recoil very well with the hotter ammo.
the pistol should get close to 2-3 ,moa or whatever from a robotic arm. Even less if you get a better barrel
