@@TRZN91 oh, I feed different insects from time to time, but I do try to avoid crickets. Not only because they are obnoxious, but because they have pretty strong jaws that can hurt the spider (unlikely but possible) and they stink.

Hi Petko. Just wanted to say you are an inspiration and because of you, I had just gotten my first tarantula, which is a Brachypelma Vagan's sling. And I'm using your ferrero rocher idea for the housing. Much love from Malaysia.

OK, quick explanation for parthenogenesis:
Some species of bacteria are capable of asexual reproduction (meaning they don't need a mate to reproduce), parthenogenesis is basically the same, but applies to animals.
The bare-bones basics of it is that a female can have babies but they will be genetically identical to the mother (remember, half of the DNA usually comes from the father), but because there is no father involved in parthenogenesis, that means there is no male DNA, which means the babies are not only genetic copies of their mother, they will also be female.
As I understand it, there are some species that don't have males anymore and they survive solely through parthenogenesis (I could be wrong, don't quote me on that).
On a similarly related note: there isn't a single parthenogenetic mammalian species in existence - although it is possible to induce parthenogenesis is mammals, this can only be done in a laboratory and doesn't occur in the wild.
Thank you I was wondering about that c:
That was really interesting. Thank you..
Technically, it's possible to occur in the wild haha.
If I'm not mistaken, there's a species of lizard that are only female and reproduce through parthenogenesis
