@@killForMYbUllet sadly myself don't have any more 8 legged creatures. But myself I don't think when I had the chance to get into collecting insects and reptiles. Yes! I feel the same! Even if Petko ever gets to a point where he is running out of ideas for "new content" I feel like anything he does in this room would fascinate anyone interested in the hobby. Just his everyday feeding, watering and rehousing is interesting to me. As well as anything he has learned and wants to share. Any of it is new and interesting to me.

Lol mine is a monster at feeding time, not sure I would have been cool with her as my first tarantula. I've never heard a louder cricket snap than during her feedings.
We have a male who just had his last molt. He's always been a good looking spider and an eager eater. He's not the gentlest tarantula in our collection and he moves pretty quickly. Before his molt, he had the typical sandy coloration. After this molt, he looks like an entirely different animal. He is leggier and his coloration has changed - a reddish abdomen and black legs and head. Even more striking than before.
I've been terribly afraid of spiders, after watching these videos I even picked up a spider yesterday in the house and let him go! That's a big step from freaking out and smooching them! . My boyfriend found your channel and has now fallen in love with tarantulas! He's still terrified of them but thinks they're beautiful creatures. I am sad to say... my first tarantula is a grammastola pulchra and i love her so much! incredibly gentle and has good feeding response. i haven't handled her often, but when i do, she's incredibly friendly, has never kicked hairs at me and of course has not bitten me lol. not even a threat posture, most she's done is bolt just a little from time to time. she was expensive though, at 150 dollars and worried me at first because she was in pre-molt when i bought her and didn't eat until after her first molt with me. gave me quite a scare as a new tarantula owner! i plan on getting a trinidad dwarf some day in the future along with other breeds, as they seem very easy and fun (for me at least) to take care of!
They're all so sweet! I'm currently researching all that I can, because I plan to have a tarantula once I'm done school and have a stable job and housing. I volunteer with a small local insect & arachnid zoo, and have done community outreach at my college with their resident tarantula, a chilean rose hair named Rosie. While rose hairs will always have a place in my heart because of her (she's the sweetest!) I'm very interested in the C. versicolor as well! I'm going to end up with a ludicrous amount of tarantulas someday, I can already tell!
mexican redknees are beautiful spiders! i would love to get one in the future! i currently have a pinktoe and so far so good! he’s pretty relaxed and nice.
I just got a Brachypelma hamorii sling and I am soooo excited!! Your videos have prepared me a lot and I feel so much more confident on caring it (of course every beginner is a little nervous). I can't wait to watch my slings growth, heard they are slow growers but that's what makes it more exciting to see how it looks and what type of personality it gets. I don't plan on handling it very often (even if at all) but that's honestly not my main focus, I'm here to admire it like you do with your tarantulas :-) KEEP UP THE WORK THESE VIDEOS ARE AMAZING!!!!
Top 5 N/W begginer friendly list in my opinion would be similar. Brachypelma hamorrii definitely, Martinique pink toe is awesome as long as they read up on not letting it get dry, and definitely agree with the GBB but just like the carabina versicolor needing moisture, it would be important for people new to things how the GBB needs it dry because I've read alot of stories of slings dying from being too damp where most slings are the opposite to that! I would have to say brachypelma albopilosum the curly hair tarantula because they are very affordable, very available, grow pretty quick compared to other brachypelma species (maybe because they prefer more moisture) get to be a decent size, great eaters, and pretty docile as well. And my last choice in league with your layout mentioning dwarf species would be Hapolopus sp Columbia large/small commonly known as the pumkin patch tarantula wich are also very affordable as slings, very commonly available, and while they are very quick when the want to be, I find them pretty laid back for how ferocious they eat for just little tarantulas. Even as a tiny sling 1 of mine was always out checking things out, and are only skidish if they are startled, or just/before a molt. But as a dwarf it has a huge personality, and the colors and pattern are amazing I think. Plus they sometimes have the gold patch most have shaped like a heart too! Do you happen to have the leetzie genus of the dwarf species you showed?
Not sure about my top five, as I only have one for now. And, it's on your top 5! Bought my very first tarantula a week ago, a little electric blue (for now) Caribena Versicolor. I know it won't be the only one I buy, so who knows what my list will end up being.

Pretty Creatures i have it too and i know it s a very good eater , my girl make hopes and wait there but I like vagans more just because it more common and the tarantula that everyone thinks : black .
Sorry I’m no good at Latin names. But I have 3 of your top 5 buddy. The Mexican red knee, Venezuelan sun tiger, and of course the GBB. Great video mate! And just wanted to say it was amazing meeting you at the BTS!! You won’t remember me lol but I’ll never forget it! Look forward to meeting you again.
Caribena Versicolor Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescence Gramestola Pulchra Avic Avic Brachypelma Boehmei Those are my favorite NW beginners. My first 2 T's were both OW's 😁
my top 5 beginner list of T's: 1. Tlitocatl albopilosus - "Curly Hair" fuzzy overload, calm, active fun to watch 2. Brachypelma homorii - "Mexican Redknee" - long lived, visually stunning, good availability, handleable, easy to care for 3. Grammastola rosea - "Rose hair" very long lived, active, fun to watch them rearrange their habitat, always out in the open, easy to handle and care for 4. Grammastola pulchripes - "Chaco Golden Knee" grows large, always out in the open, easy caring, mostly handleable, very available 5. Chromatapelma cyaneopubescens - Green Bottle Blue (GBB) beautiful colors, stunning webbing, hobby favorite of many as in your vid.
I have a Grammostola Pulchripes (Chaco Golden Knee), and she is so sweet! She adventures out of her hide often, and has never flicked hairs! She is my only tarantula, but if you want a friendly one, G. Pulchripes I think is the way to go!
Right now I have a Brachypelma klaasi and a Brachypelma albopilosum. I started taking care of tarantulas because of your videos! Thank you for the content you put out!
Did anyone else think he said “my first topLESS video” I was looking at the screen like “whoa there Petko That’s alittle more that what UA-cam’s ready for”
Hi Petko! Im early for your video again LOL. I just bought my first spooder last week and I blame you for getting me into this addictive hobby. Hahaha I will always support you Petko. From the Philippines :)
Only ever had one Tarantula, Selenocosmia crassipes also known as Queensland whistling spider. She was best ever, super shy but always hear it whistle/barking at night super cool spider. they live upto 30 years crazy right!
If u have any free beginner tarantula's I would absolutely love one. You and the Dark Den single handedly made me begin to love them. I always loved reptiles but now im into tarantula as well
Pink toe (love the way they walk! Mexican curly hair Arizona blonde Mexican red knee Mexican Red rump (can be territorial at least mine is) but easy to care for Favorite species is still Poecilotheria rufilata Red Slate Ornamental
I had an encyclopedia of animals and the bird eating spider was the only tarantula in there and I will never forget it. I was explaining two someone today about the encyclopedias and why I enjoy these spiders so much. I wonder if it was the same one lol!
I definitely agree with you in handling/rehousing the p.irminia. If you’re not careful, they sometimes bolt out as soon as you open their enclosure (especially the slings). They can also jump which adds up to the difficulty. I remember mine once bolted out and jumped straight off the table. Anyway, keep it up! I really appreciate your videos. I learned a lot from ever since I started watching from your channel.
Great Vid Petko, I am new to the hobby so: 1.)Lasiodora parahybana 2.)Grammostola pulchripes 3.)Aphonopelma chalcodes 4.)Eupalaestrus campestratus and not so beginner friendly but still want it 5.) Pamphobeteus Ultramarinus or Platyomma (either one =) )
I'm still trying to convince my arachnophobia wife 5 years later, we need a pet Tarantula. Maybe one day, in the mean time i'll keep watching your awesome content.
@@redneckrebel9260 Her phobia is getting better. I still can't have a pet but it's okay to have a few house spiders dotted around the house, I got one above my computer area, two in the kitchen and one in the bathroom and she's been doing okay with that. I keep telling her if we have one as a pet it wouldn't have freeroam of the house but still no i don't understand.
I’m happy to hear that B. Hamorii is a very beginner friendly since it’s the one I’ve specifically been thinking of getting since I love orange-black combo :)
I am a complete arachnophobe but have been watching your channel for a while after a recommendation from UA-cam (how that happened I will never know!). I love your energy, knowledge and passion for your subject. I just want you to know that I just got so excited as I was trying to guess what your number 1 was and was right. I shocked myself as 3 months ago I was dreading UK ‘spider’ season and now I’m guessing tarantula names, answering quiz questions and get excited when a new notification comes up. So Thanks - I think 🕷
Dayum, you really got me interested in the Cyanopubescens there, buddy. Once the weather warms up again (in like 6 months, thank you Finnish climate) I'll be making a sizeable order from Poland!
I love these videos. Im glad I stumbled into this channel I used to be scared of spiders and now I want one so bad but my mom isn't fan of the idea of owning one while im living with her. but soon I will have one and a snake :D
Hey Petko, Maybe your list is dependent on your Euro market, but I have some different choices for my Top Five New World. 1) Aphonopelma chalcodes 2) Avicularia Avicularia 3) Brachypelma Hamorii 4) Grammostola Pulchripes 5) Acanthoscurria Geniculata Notably, most on my list are terrestrials. Great channel!
I have two jumping spiders and I got P. Irminia for my first tarantula. Fortunately she is pretty shy, but ofc very fast if she wants to be. Right now she is about 3cm sling and seems to be pretty calm. Only when rehousing her I need more caution because she likes to run when poked, but luckily doesn't threat me at least for now. With watering and feeding she is a really good girl. P. Irminia can be a first tarantula, but the owner needs to do their research first. I have rehoused her twice and always done it in a cardboard box with some paper on the corners so it is easier for me to catch her if she bolts. Very beautiful species and I like arboreals so sometimes I can see her outside her nest. But usually they like to burrow and do a web tunnel on the corck bar so you don't see them that much.
I love you Petko. I like how you make the information interesting. And I actually am wanting to know more and you inspire enthusiasm in this type of format. The whole channel is so close to the subject matter we seldom hear from in informative expression like this. Just going back and looking at your old videos. Thank you for this!
Nice Video like always Petko! my List would be little bit different 5. Brachypelma hamorii 4. Brachypelma albopilosum 3. Grammostola porteri 2. Caribena versicolor 1. The one and Only Grammostola pulchra :-) Just love my 3 Black babys have 2.1.0 of them :-) Keep on ur nice Work and Greets from Germany!
Awesome as usual brother. Martinique is pronounced Martin-eek. Top 5 Grammostola Pulchripes Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens Caribena Versicolor Acanthoscurria Geniculata Neoholotheli Incei Beginner to the hobby list, lol. Keep it up bro!!
Dude you are soooooo AWESOME... I seriously hope I could meet you soon. You are the reason I have tarantula's. I know I have told you that but seriously you are awesome
I don’t entirely plan to get any tarantulas any time soon (though after watching this, that might change) but I do plan on getting a few scorpions. I used to be scared of them but this channel has shown me how cool and fascinating they are. I’m going to be getting an Asian forest scorpion sometime after Christmas!😁 as always, amazing video man, love the channel and keep up the amazing work!
I don't keep tarantulas (not yet anyway; maybe someday), so I can't do a list, sadly-not to mention I can't list my top 5 favorites since I admittedly forgot their names, lol. DX Anyway, all these T's are so fabulous! I knew exactly what your first pick would be. ;) Thanks for another amazing upload, as always!
My smithy is not aggressive only in premolt rest of time is allways hungry and attack immediately when i check her mood. But it's still awesome tarantula. She loves to dig and move stuff around terrarium is very interesting to watch :D Nice video keep it up :D
5. B. Vagans - The best looking black and red tarantula in my opinion. They can be more skittish than other Brachypelmas. 4. P. Cancerides - Quick growing species that changes from blue to golden brown. Probably have too much attitude for first timers. 3. A. Geniculata - Feisty tarantulas that will never miss a meal. The white coloration on their legs is really cool. 2. C. Versicolor - Beautiful tarantulas that change the way they look drastically as they grow. My favorite of the "Avicularia" tarantulas. 1. C. Cyaneopubscens - Literally everything you could want. Tons of webbing, striking colors, and great eaters.
First time viewer and on a catch up with your videos, without seeing your top 5 yet I'd have to say the Mexican red knee would be my first choice. Absolutely stunning T with a very friendly temperament.
Im really loving your Videos 👍 Im just started with the Hobby and bought myself 3 Slings. A. Geniculata B. Hamorii G. Pulchripes Keep up your nice Videos 👌 and Greetings from Germany.
My top 5: 5. heteroscodra maculata (amazing pattern 😯) 4. pterinochilus murinus rcf (always pissed but amaaazing colour!) 3. monocentropus balfouri (sweet kiwi-butts) 2. poecilotheria metallica (amazing blue 😍) 1. ephebopus murinus (skeleton, looking stunning ❤️) ... And many many more 🤤 hard to decide.. also lasiodora parahybana cause they get huge, acanthoscurria geniculata cause of the amazing contrast of their white knees, chromatopelma cyaneopubescens cause they got a nice bright colouration. Love your channel, keep rockin‘ 💪🏻😌
I haven't had the opportunity to house one of these beautiful spooders yet, but I do have a top 5 list based on what I've read and seen. :D 1. Aphonopelma Hentzi (Very common where I live, females lifespan can reach 40 years, very very docile, pretty mix of browns.) 2. Grammastola Pulchra (GORGEOUS velvet black color, one of the larger docile species.) 3. Brachypelma Hamorii (Beautiful color and pattern, fairly long lived.) 4. Brachypelma Albopilosum (FLUFF!) 5. Monocentropus Balfouri (Old World but surprisingly calm, makes a lot of webs, can be housed communally, pretty blue and brown coloring.)
5) Brachypelma Hamorii (Mexican Red Knee): Slow growers and can be expensive as mature females, but beautiful and a classic. 4) Grammostola Rosea/Porteri (Chilean Rose Hair): Unpredictable in many ways, but another classic beauty must have. 3) Avicularia Avicularia (Common Pink Toe): Cheaper and a little more docile than the Versicolor in my opinion, great intro to aboreal species. 2) Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue): Not the best to interact with, but great display specimen if you want to enjoy prolific web makers. 1) Brachypelma Abolpilosum (Honduran Curly Hair): Long curly hairs give this T a unique look no others have plus in my opinion one of thee most docile I have ever own if you are brave enough to handle, but I don’t recommend often as everything with a mouth can bite plus you don’t know how your body responds to the venom although weak compared to others. 🕷I love the quality of your videos man. I just started watching and subscribed 🛎.
"The one and lonely" you're the best, Petko.

@@kenjiro2676 yo awesome comment 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
my top 5 beginner list of T's:
1. Tlitocatl albopilosus - "Curly Hair" fuzzy overload, calm, active fun to watch
2. Brachypelma homorii - "Mexican Redknee" - long lived, visually stunning, good availability, handleable, easy to care for
3. Grammastola rosea - "Rose hair" very long lived, active, fun to watch them rearrange their habitat, always out in the open, easy to handle and care for
4. Grammastola pulchripes - "Chaco Golden Knee" grows large, always out in the open, easy caring, mostly handleable, very available
I’m researching for my first one x
Right now I have a Brachypelma klaasi and a Brachypelma albopilosum. I started taking care of tarantulas because of your videos! Thank you for the content you put out!

I was looking at the screen like “whoa there Petko That’s alittle more that what UA-cam’s ready for”
Hi Petko!
Im early for your video again LOL.
I just bought my first spooder last week and I blame you for getting me into this addictive hobby. Hahaha
I will always support you Petko.

Which one is the Mexican curly hair
Amazing Video Petko, I would gladly enjoy more of these type of list videos or recommendations of everything surrounding the hobby.
Great work man
OBT is the most friendly. lol
yeah, always giving hugs
@@TheDarkDen Orange Bite Thing lol
no💀
Ot a Cobalt blue
oh okay imma look into buying that one as my first pet spider thank you so much!
I had an encyclopedia of animals and the bird eating spider was the only tarantula in there and I will never forget it. I was explaining two someone today about the encyclopedias and why I enjoy these spiders so much. I wonder if it was the same one lol!
I really want a Caribena versicolor as my first.

Great Vid Petko,
I am new to the hobby so:
1.)Lasiodora parahybana
2.)Grammostola pulchripes
3.)Aphonopelma chalcodes
4.)Eupalaestrus campestratus
and not so beginner friendly but still want it 5.) Pamphobeteus Ultramarinus or Platyomma (either one =) )
I'm still trying to convince my arachnophobia wife 5 years later, we need a pet Tarantula. Maybe one day, in the mean time i'll keep watching your awesome content.
Get her used to a small jumping spider first. Ease her into it. Then get a sling:)
I'm waiting a looooooong time for this. Thank you buddy
B. albopilosum, B. boehmei, G. pulchra, C. versicolor, and H. chilensis.
I loved the 2nd one and 3rd one you showed. OmG so cute 💛
Today, I am getting my first tarantula, a zebra knee. I'm so excited ✨
The dwarf tarantula s are v cute💀
Womb Raider that’s a guy dude.. 🤢
I’m happy to hear that B. Hamorii is a very beginner friendly since it’s the one I’ve specifically been thinking of getting since I love orange-black combo :)
Brachypelma hamorii
Brachypelma auratum
Brachypelma albopilosum
Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens
Grammastola pulchra
I am a complete arachnophobe but have been watching your channel for a while after a recommendation from UA-cam (how that happened I will never know!). I love your energy, knowledge and passion for your subject. I just want you to know that I just got so excited as I was trying to guess what your number 1 was and was right. I shocked myself as 3 months ago I was dreading UK ‘spider’ season and now I’m guessing tarantula names, answering quiz questions and get excited when a new notification comes up. So Thanks - I think 🕷
Where did u buy the dwarf tarantula?!? I want some 😂😂 Its CUTE😍
I’m buying mine from www.joshsfrogs.com/trinidad-dwarf-tiger-tarantula-cyriocosmus-elegans-captive-bred.html
Gotta go to the petite section of the pet store 😉
Totally late to the game but I love your videos watch them every night before I go to sleep, beautiful spooders 😍

Now that's a top beginner species I can get behind.
The first 4 of that list are if you are trying for when you are trying to scare beginners. 😆
Well my obt was my 5th tarantula and he's pretty docile in the start :D
I loved guessing which spiders by the enclosures
9:00 the heart on her abdomen melted mine. Shes so beautiful!
Those colors on your GBB are stunning!!!
good video petko
Dayum, you really got me interested in the Cyanopubescens there, buddy. Once the weather warms up again (in like 6 months, thank you Finnish climate) I'll be making a sizeable order from Poland!
B. Boehmei
Centipede keeper here. Loved your videos,i want to keep tarantulas to. Thanks to this video
Thought he said it was gonna be a "topless" video...
I'm a little disappointed 🙁
My first tarantula is a juvenile acanthoscurria geniculata, my second a brachypelma hamorii sling. And only get these because of your videos! ❤️
Noice😂
You get so big now man...I started following u 1 or 2 years ago and you still have a great content :) Keep up the good work :)
I love these videos. Im glad I stumbled into this channel I used to be scared of spiders and now I want one so bad but my mom isn't fan of the idea of owning one while im living with her. but soon I will have one and a snake :D
Been waiting for a top five ,great vid
Hey Petko,
Maybe your list is dependent on your Euro market, but I have some different choices for my Top Five New World.
1) Aphonopelma chalcodes
2) Avicularia Avicularia
3) Brachypelma Hamorii
4) Grammostola Pulchripes
5) Acanthoscurria Geniculata
Notably, most on my list are terrestrials.
Your videos are getting better and better, especially the presentation. Always interesting and informative!
Awesome to see the GBB at number 1, been looking into getting one for my first tarantula so this is all the reassurance I need to do it
I love you Petko. I like how you make the information interesting. And I actually am wanting to know more and you inspire enthusiasm in this type of format.
The whole channel is so close to the subject matter we seldom hear from in informative expression like this.
Just going back and looking at your old videos. Thank you for this!
Dude because of you I own a gbb thanks man . It's my first and only one so far
Nice Video like always Petko!
my List would be little bit different
5. Brachypelma hamorii
4. Brachypelma albopilosum
3. Grammostola porteri
2. Caribena versicolor
1. The one and Only Grammostola pulchra :-) Just love my 3 Black babys have 2.1.0 of them :-)
Keep on ur nice Work and Greets from Germany!
Awesome as usual brother. Martinique is pronounced Martin-eek.
Top 5
Grammostola Pulchripes
Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens
Caribena Versicolor
Acanthoscurria Geniculata
Neoholotheli Incei
Beginner to the hobby list, lol.
DX
Anyway, all these T's are so fabulous!
1. C. cyaneopubescens
2. L. difficilis
3. G. pulchra
4. B. boehmei
5. G. iheringi
Lovely video, as always.
Wow! Awesome Tarantulas and stunning vivariums! Maintaining those live plants in the enclosures in itself is a full time job! Awesome collection!
thank you for sharing! Gonna get my first turantula very soon, love your vids!!
They are ALL adorable, especially the last little lady with the GORGEOUS colouring 💗💞💗
Im really loving your Videos 👍
Im just started with the Hobby and bought myself 3 Slings.
A. Geniculata
B. Hamorii
G. Pulchripes
Keep up your nice Videos 👌 and Greetings from Germany.
My top 5:
5. heteroscodra maculata (amazing pattern 😯)
4. pterinochilus murinus rcf (always pissed but amaaazing colour!)
3. monocentropus balfouri (sweet kiwi-butts)
2. poecilotheria metallica (amazing blue 😍)
1. ephebopus murinus (skeleton, looking stunning ❤️)
...
1. Aphonopelma Hentzi (Very common where I live, females lifespan can reach 40 years, very very docile, pretty mix of browns.)
2. Grammastola Pulchra (GORGEOUS velvet black color, one of the larger docile species.)
3. Brachypelma Hamorii (Beautiful color and pattern, fairly long lived.)
4. Brachypelma Albopilosum (FLUFF!)
5. Monocentropus Balfouri (Old World but surprisingly calm, makes a lot of webs, can be housed communally, pretty blue and brown coloring.)
Been waiting for a top 5 list 👌
Awesome Video
My top 5 would be:
C. Cyanopubescence
M. Balfouri
P. Murinus
A. Geniculata
X. Immanis
