  • Today we look at a set of wireless interconnected Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Alarm combo from X-Sense. If you have a large area that you want to protect, a wireless interconnected Smoke and CO Alarms give you better protection. Instead of the added trouble and expense of getting a hard wired system, this wireless system is a great alternative. As I will demonstrate in this video when one alarm detects a problem, they all sound the alarm. This way regardless of where you are in your house you will be notified of a potential problem. Having a combination Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Detector also alerts you to either problem with just one detector per area. Instead of having multiple detectors in your house each with separate functions, this eliminates the clutter and gives you a cleaner look. These Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide detectors from X-Sense also have a 10 year battery which you do not need to replace. The battery is good for the life of the unit. X-Sense also gives you a very long warranty on these detectors as I will explain in the video. These detectors can be placed anywhere even up high and out of reach because they have a very large reset button than can be pressed using a broom stick if they are out of your reach. Watch the video for complete details on all the features of the X-Sense Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Alarm interconnected 3 pack.

Not sure that if you take it off mounting bracket that it will turn off. another reviewer said that it auto turns on, but that once on cannot be turned off. and that it said this on the mounting bracket itself.

How do you install these on a wall where you need the "X-Sense" to be level and in the right orientation? I don't want to drill my holes in the wrong place for that to happen. Thanks.

Do you have to actually use smoke for all to go off I’ve tried to hit the test button and only the one I tested goes off

The TEST button is only to test the individual detector to make sure that the battery works and that there are no errors in the unit. If you want to see if they actually performs in a real life situation, then yes you have to recreate a real life situation by using smoke like I did.

With mine, if you press and hold the button, within 5 or so seconds, they all sound. However, since you have to continue to hold the button, someone else will have to check the other detectors.

You have to hold the test button down and keep holding it down. They should eventually all start beeping. Have a helper go around and make sure they're all working.
