wow kirk,im a plasterer but ive learned so much from your vids,i told my mates and an apprentice, its like having a mate while watching you, your so generous with your knowledge,i remember when laboring you darnt watch the plasterer at all because he would just stop work and ask what you doing? nice one keep going strong kirk.
I've been watching a few of ur videos. mate, the way you work is exactly the way I work too. I've been at it since I was 8 with the old man, now I'm 40. id have aright laugh with u. Last of the old skool pal. Bath n rake days haha! proper graft.
When we do scratch render we always use weber mono throughout the whole process? No scratch coat with a different product. 10mm first pass 8mm second all same day. Interesting to see it done a different way. Definitely less air pockets and sag doing it your way
Honestly such a good video to watch and understand. Could you explain about the belle bead. Do not understand how you maintain a flat wall going up from the bead.
Awesome work Kirk, did you do a video on the scratch coat too? I do miss some videos your post and do try to catch up but self employed with kids it's hard to find time
Brilliant job lads, very detailed video keep up the good work, I was told give it a light brush off with soft broom, didn’t notice u do it in video is this right or wrong , cheers Kirk 👍🏻
Watched a bunch of guys render a villa I was working out in Spain in Monocapa Kirk. 5 of them turned up in a Vauxhall Vectra and piled into it, 2 mixing, 3 applying - they had buckets of the stuff ready to go on the wall - base coat with fibreglass mesh, then top coat - they worked their nuts off mate.. On the last day they needed a bit more gear to finish the job off, so when they arrived, they had a few bags in the boot of the car and the 3 lads in the back seat were sat on 4 bags of render...🤣 You could always tell which houses were built by dodgy builders as the evening sun would cast some horrific shadows down a poorly rendered house. Imagine doing that when it's 35 degrees though - no thanks..
Just out of curiosity. Can someone explain why these new continental rending systems don't use bells above doors and windows. The UK is probably one of the wettest countries on the planet!
Don't get me wrong you're a top bloke and that's a cracking job.... But where are the sheets to collect all the crap that's falling on the floor. Oh and you got some on the window 😏
We thought that the k render was the dogs bollicks years ago now I carnt stand it the mess the scratching back and if you don't get the timing rite to scratch it back ye fkd all so the waste on it you must loose a bag out of 3 plus putting it on is a nightmare its very messy no more k render for me now its the silicone render a lot easier thank fk
Got that done on mine, looks far better than scratch coat, a neighbour got theirs done same time as mine an theirs looks like it's been on for years an looks shite when it rains, silicone thin coat all day out of the 2
Not being funny ? but Any illegal immigrants as you know cannot walk into your local job centre and apply for work. But all I do know is there are plenty of them that are prepared to work. Unlike some of the druggies in the uk that just want their drugs and that’s it. The illegal immigrants are probably watching. And ready to practice having a go at it. Plastering is not easy to do.
Straight lines, waves and diamond criss cross, all have different uses for different things mate. I specifically wanted waves on this job for a specific reason 👍🙂

He didn’t want you to learn ? That’s ridiculous

Shown as it should be awkward areas an all. Top job 👍🏻
Nice dose of accelerator matey. Time for quick bite then scrape away. Home by 3 . 🎉
Belter vid Kirk , cheers mate 👍
Huws gray nighties killed me laughing, my 3 daughters always got my freebies from the builders merchants and worn it as nighties 😂
Spot on Kirk I’ve seen a lot of jobs using mono and not use a base coat just use the top coat if that makes sense keep up the good work 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Good teacher. Inspiring. I'd do that now.

Dunno why but thats reminded me of Auf Weidesehen Pet at Ali's villa!
Super job
Hi ya mate can this k rend go over an sand and cement rendered bay if so would you have to prepare in any special way?
Great video...Good man
EXCELLENT PLASTER WELL EXPLAINED
Nice work
Lovely job mate looks wicked, one question though - As you achieve a level surface by scraping how do you know 100% you don't have any low spots?
You can tell by the texture where has been scraped and where hasn't mate
was that on top of a waterproof scratch coat kirk?
so no need to wet the wall before sticking the render on?
Depends on what type of rendering your doing. With this there's no need mate
What did you put the beads on with bud?
Base coat mate
You've got it all over the window 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ,👍
Watch all the way to the end, we just clean it off.
🙈🤣
@@Onthetrowel I know, I'm just having a laugh after you mentioned it at the beginning 😂 👍
Just out of curiosity. Can someone explain why these new continental rending systems don't use bells above doors and windows. The UK is probably one of the wettest countries on the planet!
We no longer have wooden window frames so it's now more of a case of aesthetics
Thanks for the answer , I've learnt something new today. it makes sense now you've mentioned it 👍
no need for using a mesh with the K-rend?
It'll be in the base coat
Hi pal get yourself a machine loads easier quicker etc.
Stunning as always
What colour render is that mate?
Class job 👍🏻
It was krend polar white mate
Don't get me wrong you're a top bloke and that's a cracking job.... But where are the sheets to collect all the crap that's falling on the floor. Oh and you got some on the window 😏
Ground is getting landscaped mate and it was only a little job so we just cleaned the windows as we went
Just pulling your leg 😜 👍
Immaculate
Get on the tc15. So much easier and better looking in my opinion.
Hard 2 beat the Steel trowel 🇮🇪
Why didn’t u wet the wall first sir ?
An never used modern bagged render av used sand and cement. the bagged render looks much better to use
You wanna be charging your t shirt for adverts
Wouldn’t touch the stuff Kirk i like lime render myself
Always wanted to be a renderer, but my IQ was higher than 10.
This comment makes me think otherwise
Could you pva it to help with the dried edge

I feel your pain mate, I'm with you
Got that done on mine, looks far better than scratch coat, a neighbour got theirs done same time as mine an theirs looks like it's been on for years an looks shite when it rains, silicone thin coat all day out of the 2
