    02:06 🏋 Enhancing Grip on Under Door Tool:
    Using heat shrink on the head of the under door tool improves grip without leaving sticky residue, providing better control when pulling handles.
    04:59 🔄 Upgrading Cord Management:
    Replace traditional methods like zip ties with a retracto line for efficient cord management, ensuring it stays out of the way during field operations.
    08:12 💨 Improved Gas Injection for Bypass Entries:
    Introducing the Gen 3 Rex nozzle adapter, which allows attaching a straw for precise gas injection during under door tool usage, minimizing the risk of triggering alarms in secure spaces.
    00:41 🚪 The under door tool is highly recommended but can be improved for better effectiveness. Adding heat shrink to the tool's head can enhance grip without leaving residue.
    02:54 🧳 The cord of the under door tool often kinks; a retracto line attachment is suggested for smoother operation in the field.
    06:48 🚨 Prevent triggering alerts: Using tools like a magnet switch or tripping sensors can help evade detection after using the under door tool in secured spaces.
    08:12 💨 Utilizing R134a with a modified straw can deceive sensors post-under door tool use. The adaptable straw design aids in directing gas efficiently.
    12:29 🛠 Upgraded under door tool enhancements, such as better grip, retractable line, and gas nozzle additions, can significantly enhance functionality and safety during covert entries.

    I've used the gas trick in a pinch when a customer's access control system faulted out and wouldn't read anything anymore. Physical security guy was talking about having to cut doors and such. He was decidedly unimpressed with my trick until I got us all the way to the server room (which had its own, independent access control) to shut the main one down. The client was not impressed with the security contractor in turn about.

    Deviant, sir. In your videos and conference talks you often show how to better secure a door to avoid under door tools, I was wondering if you've heard of this one: When a door has an automatic door closer, like in a hotel room or office, and you are worried of someone trying to enter while you are there, you can take a small towel or even shoe laces and tie them around the scissor portion of the door closer. I've never had the chance to confirm this, but it seems that this would render the door effectively un-openable?

    Thanks Deev! I am a big fan of REX in the lock itself, rather that the motion sensors. However, now I need to go back and install locking thresholds and weatherstripping in the most secure locations to prevent the under and over the door attacks (since the UDT defeats my solution in one easy step). Remember the original interlocking weatherstrip that was routed into the door and frame made from copper; probably the best to prevent attacks but sadly obsolete. Might even need to think about mechanical door position switches too with shim deflectors. Its a great cat and mouse game we play....

    I am not that big into security (especially NA) but wouldn't triggering the REX sensor open the door anyway? why would it be useful to have it on the UDT other than directing the tube if it is not accessible from the outside?

    • @btw111
      @btw111 Рік тому +10

      REX sensors do not always trigger the electric lock to actuate. It all depends on how the access control system is programmed to process the REX event. Often times the REX is only used for the access control system to identify that someone is trying to leave (on their own), vs letting them out.

    • @David-yz2ks
      @David-yz2ks Рік тому +4

      In higher security facilities REX sensors can be used to monitor the door, but not open it, so there may be a REX that monitors for movement, but the door is not connected to it; say if it is just a plain old door that does not require a lock from one way. If the door opens but the REX does not trigger an event, it would raise an alarm. This gets more complicated in the situation that Dev mentioned where there is an electromagnet and a REX sensor both monitoring, but not protecting, the door. If both are not triggered at approximately the same time they will alert security.

    • @DeviantOllam
      @DeviantOllam  Рік тому +8

      The other replies here that you are seeing all have it correct pretty much... Triggering a REX sensor sometimes completely unlocks the door (like in cases of electronic mag locks) but other times the REX sensor is merely used for monitoring and the door itself is unlocked with the turn of a handle (typically in cases where the axis control system relies on an electronic strike plate)

    Oh, good vid. The not so civil, your old contemporary mod-ed this. I like his mod of the tip of the UDT that he Dremel's a flat hook on. I come across Single Crash Bar doors all the time and they can only be opened with that mod, you jam the tip into the back side of the crash bar and then pull your string to depress the crash bar, though depending on the resistance of the bar, it might not always work. It's one of the few scenarios you would ever have to pick a door, and that's only if there isn't some way into that area that ISN'T a single crash door, but they're usually impossibly fitted so even putting a corkscrew through the side to depress the side latch usually isn't feasible either. Plus you have to use a wedge if you're using a corkscrew which is a pain. Anywho, thanks for the vid- pretty cool. You should do a vid series on attacking Cores, so many ways you can get a core out of a door, go somewhere discrete which most buildings will have, decode, repin, replace, go get key cut or file your own. Nothing like having a key for a door, plus you'll get Control info most of the time which can produce insane results. My complex has different Op's for each buildings Mech- but the Co is the same for all of them, haha. Having the Co is like having a Grand Master key. Anyways, thanks.

    I'm a little confused with the gas canister. I don't understand why you would use the under door tool if you're already tripping the rex sensor. I thought those rex sensors always unlock the door too. Is that no tthe case?

    • @BrooksMoses
      @BrooksMoses Рік тому +2

      Unlock and unlatch are two different things. The door needs to be unlocked from the inside, or the under door tool wouldn't be able to turn the handle to open it -- but you still need to turn the handle to unlatch it. And presumably it's still locked from the outside, so you have to turn the inside handle.

      @richardb8104 Рік тому

    • @MrGundawindy
      @MrGundawindy Рік тому

      @@richardb8104 nah, I got that. Just in case the place has a security panel that would show an open door, triggering the rex sensor would make it look like someone was leaving rather than entering.
      I think I had assumed that triggering the rex sensor would unlock the door from both sides. I have only ever seen the electronic door latches that trigger the stopper in the frame, so you could open the door from either side, but I'm not in the industry, I only take a passing interest in these videos so it is entirely possible that there are systems that control the latching in the door rather than the stopper. 🤷‍♂
