What a great event Super Trowel 2023 was. It was great to meet so many like minded people, see some fantastic new products that will be coming to the market soon and of course to see the best in the country pit their skills against each other.
With a substantial prize pot and the winner taking home a hefty £2000 cash and a van full of tools it was all to play for.
Each contestant set out one course of blocks and then a 9" wall in the morning before the comp started. The hod carrier race was utilised to loads out the bricks for each contestant and then they were ready to lay some bricks. It was a sold out event and very hot in the competition area so the pressure was on.
See who came out on top in the first ever Super Trowel. Judging by the success of this one, there will be many more to come.

Awesome coverage. I felt a massive bond with all of you guys. As a 60 somthing year old brickie it was a pleasure to watch this event. Congrats Charlie, youre a legend.🤟

I know what you mean. I met a couple of older guys at the event who were really enjoying the whole thing. I think it is great for the industry and to drive youngsters into our sector which has an aging workforce

I think there is going to be regional eliminators next year and then the grand final. It was first event so trial and error and to see demand for tickets, sponsorship etc. It will go from strength to strength

If you watch mr follow up video you will see that I incorrectly said best Brickie when it was to find the fastest Brickie 👍🏻 I do agree though, Stu Compton is very good
Hod carriers but wheres the hod? Would be good to see them loading out a first lift up and down ladders etc and oh yeah with a actual hod.

If charlie could of had his boards set up over hand side of the line, he would of hit 700 plus. He will humble you next summer for sure. Plus he has the best hoddy in britain

@@Tone_Team but still charlie collison only ever tries to promote set up and productivity for next generations. Supertrowel comp just got turned into another marketing advert just like the spec mix. He had to say rino stands on your interview. Do you have in shares in Rhino? But they wouldnt let him use his own that can fit 2 scaffboards on. Kop out. To make it fair to next year they should find a bigger venue, let them set up as they do as in a day to day workplace and stop all this american style marketing fair. Next thing there will be adverts every other minute advertising trucks and scaffold packages. Absolute Joke man. You have 1 less subscriber 👌👎 your channel's boring anyway

Surely in order to a have a competition there has to be some rules, that is the basic principle of literally any completion in the world. Pete the cat who was in his 60’s a scouse bricklayer from Brighton would piss all over them, he would need 2 hoddies just to keep him in mortar
What competitions has he won?
Getting his pay packet at the end of the week was his result, not going into a pointless competition, that ain’t even real, that labourer bringing u mortar right next to you, most sites the hod carrier is looking after 3 brickies on a scaffold and waiting on the shite forklift driver , who’s usually the other end of the sire sitting in his cab on his phone, to get you bricks and mortar

Lots of great brickies out there that could of won that can’t see how you can call them the best in the country lots will be laughing at that comment….brickies from the 60s and 70s would have destroyed them lads for speed that winner Charlie wouldn’t of been anywhere near the top dog back then ….but a different era and hungrier but if that’s all that was allowed in that competition it’s disappointing I really can’t see that they are the best out there …that’s insulting a lot of very fine trowels
