" The Wizard " your tips and tricks have spread throughout the community over the years, you've reached that mentor status long ago, im excited at the start of this new season ,that you are teaching again, there are so many new people to the hobby/ sport, that I think its good you start lessons up again, allot of your original How To Be A....Magnet fisher, metal detector...ect. vids are what led lots of us to the next level of hunting, myself for sure. and your teaching it for free, thank you !
Yes please do a video describing the different metal sounds etc. Ur show has inspired my wife and I to just now get into this sport and we still have not went out on the farm here n tried it yet. So the more I can learn from you the better. We love the show
I've learned a heck of a lot from you Chigg. You always do a great job of explaining why you do what you do in every video. I actually prefer the horse shoe and plow point kinds of hunts because that's the type of stuff we find here in the woods of Maine.
With your passion in metal detecting, and knowledge, you make a good instructor. I don't think you will ever run out of viewers, we all love you. Whether learning, just watching, or your neat personality, we are there.
This is part one of this detection and is mostly me showing you some tips and tricks as I test to a different loop on my machine. Tomorrow night I will get edited and publish the actual hunt where I find some great Civil War relics. Follow Chigg’s Army! My Patreon: www.patreon.com/aquachigger Instagram: instagram.com/aquachigger/ Facebook: facebook.com/chiggsarmy/ Twitter: twitter.com/BeauOuimette Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
And a big red apple 🍎 for the teacher 😊 I have found a deep complete shoe buckle with my AT Pro, it was just a wisper on machine no numbers but repeating single. I bought the 15"coil for my Nox, haven't tried it very much, looking forward to using this spring on some old school yards, maybe some deep silver I missed. Stay safe
Please show more videos like this and please show you using a T 2 in heavily iron infested areas this would be really helpful. Us greenhorns that are new to this need all the good tips that we can get. Thank you. I am detecting in a heavily iron infested historic area. God Bless You and Thank You.
Please make a video teaching us what you know Professor Chiggs!!!!!! You've got so many of us into detecting for the first time, we'd love to know your tips and tricks!!!
I’m brand new to detecting. My girlfriend got me a unit and a pointer about a week ago for my birthday. I’ve been out only once, to an old golf course. I found a bunch of junk that made me really excited. I caught the bug immediately. I think the best part is researching where to hunt. I got this idea, I hope it hasn’t been hunted before. It’s the oldest house still standing in my county and the first crossing over the river. Probably be going out there tomorrow, wish me luck. Cheers buddy!
Thanks Chigg! I have that machine on order and considered that coil... the information is helpful. I miss this from your older videos. Thanks for mixing one in. Please throw one on every now and then
Dude... that's an AWESOME coil matched with the AT MAX ... loved the depth you were getting with it especially in all the red clay.... I've always had a tough time detecting red clay.... more bounce back than good top soil or Rocky soil... it always seems to be either hotter and hard to tell true signals or very very quite like there weren't any signals or my detect just couldn't read the dense clay..... Thanx Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE see ya on the next
Thanks chigg for the teaching/education on the bigger coil. You are spot on when it comes to ground balancing several different ways. I myself ground balance several times when I'm out detecting. I find that it does make a big difference by doing this due to the different types of soil an make up of the soil in the ground. Thanks again for the education that you are sharing with us all. I have that coil as well an it works great. Catch ya on the next video. As always safe an happy hunting/digging.😁👍👍
Nice coil! I have been thinking about getting one of those one day. And I love the gloves! Wow...Max sensitivity.... probably because you think it has been hunted a lot in the past? I find I sometimes I have to take off my coat after shovelling snow too. 😁 Yes, please tell us about more tips and tricks. ☺️ Love the tip about the ground balancing a fair amount. Makes sense. Thanks for taking us on the learning curve. 😊 It’s always interesting to see what lies beneath with different sounds.
You are the reason I've started detecting. This video really helped, as I got the same detector you use. Loved the video. Your so lucky to have those historical spots, in canada there aren't as many.
Tips and tricks are always helpful! I just upgraded from a 20 year old whites to the ATmax. It’s been working great, but I need more experience and all of your tips and tricks are very helpful. Found a house site in my area that is FULL of signals and I’m having a hard time finding which ones to dig... Keep up the good work and best of wishes for you in 2021. Happy new year!
I'm new to detecting and I'm in a river valley where the flood is water backs up. Needless to say there is plenty of trash to deal with...pop cans, fence wire, etc... the tones often jump around so I'm interested in how to weed out the good and bad. I liked learning more about ground balancing. It requires more than a single tap to the ground at the start of the hunt!
Hell yeah man, share your knowledge with us. I can tell you know a lot more about the hobby than I do, and id love to hear what you do differently than I do!
I enjoy your Channel. I've learned so much and I just want to say thank you for that. You just taught me about ground balancing. I didn't realize you did it all the time. I figured one time was enough and you're good to go. Please feed us baby birds. Thanks once again.
Hey beau I'm new to detecting and love watching you as I learn so much. One thing I'm not sure of is ground balancing. I for one did not know you have to keep ground balancing but the Clay part has got me confused. I'm thinking that's what happens to me when I cant find a signal I'm in east tn and we have lots of clay. Thanks so much for this video
I love your shovel. I use the same one. I swapped the handle out with galvanized steel and an after market D handle. It's the field super shovel. Nice to see you use the same thing.
Yep I sure would love to see some "tutorials". Fairly new to detecting from the land down under. Your vids have basically taught me all I know about detecting, more would be great.
Try a channel called “the hoover boys” they know how to do it properly & in the correct manner such as always filling yours holes after u have dug them n nobody can even tell we’re u have been, it’s just good manners so a horse or person doesn’t break their ankles n also peeve off any lan owners n also give the hobby a bad name making everyone look like cowboys. Also remember that you MUST have permission to dig ANYWHERE, especially civil war sites. If it’s private u need to get a permission from the owner if it’s public then permission from the local authorities. Simple as that. Also these guys have been to England, all across the USA & have gotten some amazing things plus the ppl who join up on colab vids r good n can trusted.
Please do a video explaining tips on finding particular targets (coins, brass relics) and more importantly what you listen for. I am struggling finding targets in high iron areas. The smallest blips that then disappear behind an iron tone is something I'm struggling with. Thank you and love your vids!
Great video sir. You say you are learning everyday.. well I've got a long way to go. I want to learn all about metal detecting but i am limited to when and where i can go especially with Covid restrictions. Thanks for your great videos and look forward to more. Stay safe buddy.
Thanks for the video I'm new at this been watching you for a while now and I've chosen a garrett detector. So the more I can learn the better. Love your videos!!😎🐓🐓🇬🇧
Chigg I think you left a target, what appears to be a small button maybe, in the last clump you were waving over the coil..you found a small piece of iron on top, but lower toward the bottom was a roundie!
Hi Chig. I am sure you know about our friend meMiner's injuries so won't elaborate. The rockhounding is not good here in S Okla so I am buying a detector and I believe I will like it. Thanks for the good vid and havagudun bud.
I've never even held a detector. I'm fascinated by the techniques involved and how different metals sound at different depths and different compositions. I'm curious to know what the discrimination numbers indicate to you and what a 'squeaker' actually indicates (I presume it means its not ferrous, maybe an alloy or something).
I would love a video explaining how you tell the difference between the different types of civil war bullets, forgive me if you have already made one I am working my way through all your videos starting with the oldest and am about half way now lol
Great video! Always something to learn. One thing I would like to know about what are your thoughts on the AT Pro and the AT Max as far as pros and cons?
Does anyone remember the show several years ago that featured a couple fellows searching for meteorites? The "Meteorite Men," I think. Really cool program. Wish we could see The Chigg's show here in the U. S.
My AT MAX should arrive tmrrw, got the extra coil (Detec 13) so thanx for the tutorial. Come on UPS pappa wants his toy! I don't know if I should thank you Chigg, TBD. ;)
I don't even own a detector. But if I buy one, I've realized my ears are already trained to what you're using. I'm also used to your giving the digital readout number. I know what iron sounds like, and I know what the signal sounds like when you get excited. Edit: I have watched every episode of " Detectorists".

Hey Q4D thanx for being you. You , Chigg and some silly Brits have got me through this last crazy year!
I like the technical explanations. As a newer detectorists it helps me learn and or justify what I have experienced. Thanks!
I've been detecting since the seventies , but I'm never to old to learn, I loved this video .
I'm a Patron contributor and these videos are much appreciated. I learn so much from you you are the best!! Thanks for all you do.

@@richardhendrix7894 you find the end trials and it will lead you to the treasure and all the gold coins.
Oh, just show us everything so we can learn. You are such a good teacher-- so teach! 😊
I love the explanation on the techniques you use.

Good for people who are just starting. There is a lot more than just turning a machine on and finding relics. Thanks.

That was very useful, Professor. Explained a lot for me as someone who has never detected.
Thanks Chigg! I have that machine on order and considered that coil... the information is helpful. I miss this from your older videos. Thanks for mixing one in. Please throw one on every now and then
I'm brand new to this hobby and I would love more videos like this!

Love your videos.
I have watched many vids on learning. But i find yours the best!!

Great video Chigg! Helpful for us newbies. Would love to see a video on how you research sites like that camp one day.
Very interesting and informative video. Nice job Chigg. Love learning the tips and tricks. You have many fine James Bond gadgets !
