I dont know what i was expecting but it definitely wasnt that. Also, I really enjoyed the end of game review. I liked the music and the clips of the game as you ran through your thoughts.
An amazing game, it honestly deserves more than a 7 as given by IGN, I'd score it a 9/10. It serves as a prequel to the first entry, a bit saddening in terms of the plot twist near the end When players finish battling their way through various creepy environments with their companion, Six, they finally confront the main antagonist, the Thin Man. Once you defeat him, you gain his powers and attempt to save Six, who has been captured and transformed. However, after a tense chase scene, Six seemingly betrays Mono. As he's hanging onto the edge of a cliff, she lets you fall into a dark abyss rather than saving you. This betrayal is shocking, especially given the bond players have formed throughout the game. After the fall, it’s revealed that the players' character, Mono, is slowly transformed into the Thin Man, implying that this betrayal was part of a tragic cycle that Mono was doomed to repeat. This twist recontextualizes much of the game and and I can say that it leaves players with more questions than answers. Six was regarded unique in the first entry, but I am sure players converted their love into hatred after what happened with this one, everything about the game is well done. astoundingly odd enough, Little Nightmares III will be taken charge of by Supermassive Studios (A different studio) and it sees a whole brand new adventure with new characters and world. Tarsier Studios are busy developing "Reanimal".
Woahhh I didn't realize it was a prequel actually! I agree the game could do with a higher rating, it is beautifully made and the world really keeps you guessing. It certainly left me with a lot of questions that I have continued to mull over, but I think that is part of what the developers wanted. A game that keeps the players invested like that can keep them coming back for more! I didn't realize they were going to be put under a different studio so that will be interesting to see. I hope they keep to the true spirit and nature of these games tbh. I have seen some of the info for Reanimal and it looks fantastic so far. I honestly can't wait to grab a friend and dive into that as well! Do you have any suggestions for the next game I should play? :)
@@Cheshire-tails Well, there is one apparent proof to it being a prequel to Little Nightmares I, we see Six before she dons her iconic yellow raincoat. By the end of LN II, she acquired the coat, which is a clear indicator of her progression into the character we all know in LN I. She is seen trotting away with her raincoat through that big glowy window which grants her the yearned exit from the tower, possibly heading towards the events of Little Nightmares I. You can play the Dead Space saga, The Callisto Protocol, SOMA, Silent Hill : Homecoming and Silent Hill : Downpour, Visage, Alien Isolation, Layers of Fear, The Evil Within, Lust From Beyond, but you can start with Dead Space 1/2/3, because you are gonna love these, one of the best horror saga's to ever see light. I can suggest other amazing 3A titles apart from horror theme if you are interested

And yes I have to agree, the team did such an amazing job on atmosphere, character design, and really instilling that feeling of dread. Her name is Six. Baggie is Mono. One of best games I ever played in terms of atmosphere.
