He will be eligible for parole in 20. That's just a formality. It's more likely that he could be released in 40-60 years, but certainly not 20. He will never be a free man again.

This part of the trial is the most interesting part, because families and others can share what impact this was for them, and having the defendant witness their painful emotions -- most naturally sentencing is heavy burden for any jury to decide - defense attorney gave a good argument for sentencing like a moral decision to make -- then prosecutor attorney argument turns it upside down -what is the appropriate punishment

Why not throw that charge in at sentencing, I just don't get it.

All they actually have any deep feelings about is what happens to them. I don't know if he'll ever feel any remorse for taking Mr. German's life, I don't think he's capable of that. I know he regrets killing him now that he's been found guilty, but for all the wrong reasons. He's regretting that his life has been adversely affected and regret isn't the same as remorse.

Yes, in this country very long sentences. In other countries I know families of victims feel victimized themselves at the very short sentences for murder. This man even lacked any compassion for family of victim, no emotion but cried for himself when his family spoke. It shows his true character.

They didn't give him parole! He's just eligible for parole in 20. If he keeps denying the crime as with most narcissist will, he will be in prison for life!
