@@oscararizaga9659got me a great state job where im not destroying my body like many trades and i got a raise in my first 6 months. Maybe you should have got a better degree (mine is in biology and just a bachelors)
No joke the manager said that shit to my NURSING SCHOOL MOM and the owner told him off for even suggesting working at giimbals as a clerk should take precedence to my mother becoming a nurse
Imagine, you're a manager, productivity is down, and everyone is already working to full capacity, so you tell them "Hey you're going to be getting a pay cut, and you're getting more work alongside it, if you dont like it, leave" and then become shocked that people leave because other jobs are worth more pay for less work
We had this happen..in my highschool we had a new art teacher who wanted book reports and lectures, not actually doing art...one day she snapped and said if we didn't like how she did things to leave..as one the entire class left and went to sit in the office... even people who normally don't get along...she didn't last a year
My estranged mother and stepfather. Abusive as hell and acted like I was the asshole for getting upset about it. Said if you don’t like it leave. So I did and went no contact. Been nearly twenty years since I did it and it was the best decision I ever made in my life.
It's sad but sometimes it's what you gotta do. Went NC with my dad too. Only I actually loved that asshole, so it feels like I've had a huge hole in my heart ever since.
Why are people so surprised that they actually leave when you are the ones who told them to? People quit bad bosses not bad work place or toxic family members
Story 4: My boss is the opposite. He always tells us how grateful he is that we work at his family business. When he heads out for the day, he usually says "Appreciate you guys!" as he goes out the door. I work my hardest when I'm there, and it doesn't feel like work.
That’s such a great example of what a boss should be! It’s funny how some people mistreat those below them when they’d ironically get better work done if they were kind to their employees.
I had a horribly emotionally abusive boyfriend who decided to enjoy torturing me after I had a nervous breakdown. He told me that he couldn’t sleep in the same room as me. Well that allowed me to get some much needed rest. Then he said that he couldn’t live with me hoping that it would break me. Instead I quickly agreed because I had already started looking for apartments. He hadn’t realized that I was getting over him so I could care less
My abusive birth mother always told me if I didn’t like the rules of her house, I could always leave. I left when I turned 18. Got an email a few hours later begging me to come back. I never did
I was a temp in a job a few years ago. We knew things were going badly for a while, and the big boss pulled everyone into a meeting to say the company was going into liquidation and we were all being made redundant within a month. The kicker was that he sent we all had to continue working until then, but we wouldn't get paid for the next month, nor would we be paid for the month we had just done. We all instantly exploded in protest at him asking how he could possibly expect us to still work without pay. He just shrugged and said "It's in your contract that you have to work" and even a couple of the other bosses, just a step down in position from him, argued with him that the contract also states we get paid for our work. He just shrugged and said nothing, so we argued that if we weren't going to be paid, we weren't going to work. He said that if we weren't going to do our work we all might as well just leave now- but he said this like a threat, like "I'll sack the lot of you if you don't work", seemingly completely forgetting that he had just told us we were losing our jobs anyway 😂. So, we all just silently got up and left. He spent the next 10 minutes begging everyone while we were packing up to come back and that he would "see what he could do" about pay 😂
Has telling a student to decide between work or school *ever* worked? Just a regular kid trying to make it easier on their family, not the last job on earth. No Grandpa-will-explode type of consequences Don't let the bastards bum rush you!
Employers who think their workers who are in college think should prioritize their job over school are funny. I had that experience. Bye, Walmart. I'm focusing on my degree, of course.
A lot of these managers/CEOs are walking around like they’ve never gotten punched in the face for their behavior These jerks clearly don’t see their employees as people. I mean. Would they be ok with someone talking to them the way they talk to people?
You don’t need to be grateful for something if you’re paying for the service and feel like you’re not getting what you wanted. If a college prof is completely disconnected from majority of the class, maybe the problem isn’t the “sheeple” but him
I work at Walmart. I can definitely say that coaches and team leads definitely pick on the most smallest dumbest things, Walmart definitely needs to change the policies
I once had a job where I was constantly given jobs I wasn't employed to do and didn't know how to do. I was very good at the job I was employed to do but rarely got chance to do it. The owner told me a couple of times if I didn't like it he'd fire me and get someone else. I got another job in a few days so went into the office, emptied my desk, left my keys and told my colleague to tell the boss I quit. A year later they had shut down.

Some people call it “requesting time off” but I call it “letting you know I’m not going to be here” I’m sorry you thought this was a discussion…. But you may want to figure something out on those days that I won’t be here. Or don’t. Either way. I’m not going to be here those days.
It wasn't everyone but I did at my old job. I was the hardest worker in my department but I wasn't a Yes Man, my manager hit three strikes by telling me if I don't like it I can leave, so I did.
I remember a story from somewhere that was of a class where the teacher was having trouble controlling the students because of one rich popular girl. It was a university class or something but they did need it to pass. Finally the teacher just turned around and said that anyone who doesn't want to be in the class can leave and more than half of the class left, right behind the popular girl. He kicked them out of the course and refused to let them back in. Even the rich girls parents couldn't do anything because he was either quitting or retiring after this last class so labour law protected him from being punished or fired or whatever. Everyone that walked out had to retake the class the next year. Miss Popular wasn't so popular after that 😂
Well if it's setting off your allergies and you want to stay there too spend time with them, you can ask for them to just wait for later. Not gonna kill.

Yep. Not a choice deku would have to think about
Like a degree would really give you a better job.......spoilers..... It doesnt

I think they do quit toxic family members sometimes.
Eh that's not entirely true. People quit bad jobs all the time. A great boss can't always raise my pay or benefits either.
Its a power play. They expected them to stay and grovel
