Hi, I am an absolute beginner with Cricut! and have been trying to muddle my way through all the different tutorials on the million things can can be done, my other problem is not being very computer literate! This tutorial is by fat the best and easiest to understand, thank you so much. Now all I have to do is follow your instructions. 🤔
Thank you so much. I tried and tried and just couldn't figure it out. Now I understand how to do it. I went back to design space, started over and got it done.
Thank you for this video, I really needed it. I got my Cricut as a gift last year at Christmas and I'm older, and learning new things just doesn't come as easy as it used to. LOL
You are fantastic, and the way you explained it was very easy to understand, I just viewed 4 others and felt more confused until I found you. Thank you!
Great video. Thank you. But a couple questions…So if I wanted to change the font for the words “the dumbest”,I don’t really have a way to separate the words and change the font (it doesn’t recognize it as a font) nor can I delete those words and retype in a different font within design space, is that true? Design space doesn’t let you ungroup, unweld or unattach portions of an object and does not have an eraser tool erase those words so you can retype just those two words, right? So I have to edit the image in another software, erase what I want, save as png, then upload to design space, and the retype the word in another font. I ask these questions because I originally assumed that Svgs, when saved, would be grouped together, not welded, so one could ungroup, edit one word, change the font, etc., but seemingly that can’t be done as far as I can tell,. Or am I missing something? Sorry for rambling…
Do you have a guide/cheat sheet for what size to make images based on T shirt size? You mentioned 11” wide for Lg T shirt in this video. Thanks! Love your videos!
Hi, I am also a beginner with Cricut and have been trying to figure out my way around through different tutorials on how to use PNG or JPEG as well. I have already had different download of files that I received free of charge but wasn't sure how to use most of them. Thank you for this tutorial it made it much easier to understand.
Omg thank you so much! I have watched soooo many different videos and this is the first time that I got it. Thank you for telling me the svg files say chrome HTML > I have downloaded so many and deleted them because they didnt say svg. No one said they say chrome praise the LOrd!
I have just recently purchased a cricut maker and have been having trouble working out how to download files. This was really helpful and I was able to download a PNG file while watching, thanks you for all the hints.
Thank you! Yes they really are valuable to know how to convert them into design space. I bought a bunch of utems to upload too design space. Now to get to do it and mahe it happen! Thank you for this video!
In your opinion which would be the better choice ~ I want to use a png file of a baby woodland animal. Would it be best to keep it as an png or convert it to a jpeg? From your video I think a png would be better but want to make sure ~ also would I mirror it as you din't mention that and my SVG files I have to mirror ~ Thank you
This was so helpful I’ve been limiting myself to what I can do Bc I never really understood the difference and this is soooo incredibly helpful and easy to understand!!
Thank you for this great video. I'm a newbee and wanting to know if there is a step by step video showing how to get a saved SVG file that I purchased on line over to the Cricut and then to cut it out? I'm a visual person so step by step videos are best for me.

Hello, I am new to the cricut community. Just got a cricut joy machine and am researching how to put images into design space so that i can cut them on the joy. Now i am not familiar with the print and cut that you mentioned in this video. If you have a video recommendation on that topic it will be highly appreciated. Of course i am not sure if the joy does print n cut features so i will need to research that as well. I really enjoyed your video and i subscribed to your channel.
I haven't been able to find the answer and hope you can help. I am trying to find out how to take an image from my sons baseball team (their logo) and make an SVG. I have a jpg of the logo, but that's it and I took it from their website. Is this even possible?

Hi Becky , I’m fairly new and so glad I searched for info n found u!!!!!! I purchased an earring file w 100 earrings in PNG format! They went to my WinZip file n I unzipped them to my download folder. They open individually in Paint but are huge! Also there is 2 full pages w them all on. 50 on each page. Can you tell me how to resize them if I use a full page or individually? I have saved as PNG, so I can save in Design Space n resize right??? Is there a way to use a full page and resize them so I do not have to do each one individually???? Help!! Thank u in advance!!!!!!
Hey Sharon! Each format will depend on the individual designer, but I think it's fairly common in a bundle to have them grouped this way. You should be able to open them in Design Space, then either size together or ungroup and size individually. Sometimes the designer will give you a document in the downloaded folder with suggested size, so be on the lookout for that also. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Love your teaching you explain very well thanks a million. I have a became a member on design bundles. I did the free member. but they have a every last month on a Wednesday for one hour only dollar day. Do you know what time they starts ??? I live in Richmond California Pacific time.

Hi Milly! It depends on the design, some may be welded together. You can always write in to mail@designbundles.net and we can help check if it's a file you've purchased from us - Dawn
Many thinks for sharing your video. I pick up different tidbits along the way and this video is the only one I've seen so far that mentioned the use of tags. Newbie here who has viewed many videos. I keep seeing, as you said, if the SVG is available, use that. I was on a site offering a free flowered alphabet and they had both file types but the write up said to use the PNG files in Cricut. I have not found a reason why they would have stated that. I have seen some tuts say to delete all files we're not going to use after extracting (eg. I have no need for a Mac file). Would you suggest we just keep the svg or should we keep any file type we could use,? For me that would include png's and jpg's)?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! PNGs are usually used with Print then Cut projects. So if it's an alphabet set you don't want to cut with vinyl, the PNGs would be fine to upload. You can delete the files you don't want to use. At least on Design Bundles your purchases stay on your account forever so you can come back and download if you realize later that you need a different file type :)
Why im not getting a cut image option? I follow your steps and I’m getting a grey empty box that doesn’t look like yours, like copy or double logo, just gave me the original and on the left the grey empty box, so pretty much I only have the print then cut image option, why?
Hey JP! Are you using an image and want to break it up into multi-color cutting? Design Space isn't very intuitive in this aspect, but there is an option when importing an image to delete the background, I think it's the step before you are describing here (the grey empty box). Hope this helps! ---Becky

Hi, I am trying to upload from Design bundles to design space but my computer does not give me separated file folders for SVG( all images in the bundle) on 1 file, it looks like I have to select each one individually???
Cricut Design Space doesn't have the option to bulk import so you would need to import each image individually. Designers set their files up differently so some will have all layers in one file while others have individual files. 😊
Hi Jana! If it's an SVG you've created yourself, you can adjust the font as needed but if its a purchased design that is welded, you wouldn't be able to adjust the font.
Hi Vanessa! That is a great idea! You can also write in to our customer support at mail@designbundles.net or join us in a live chat through our homepage and we can help explain the license differences to you 😊
Hey Debbie! I'm not sure? It could be a few things I think, maybe the difference between Mac and PC, or desktop and mobile, or downloaded software vs the online design space? Let me know what you're using and I'm sure we can figure it out! ---Becky
@Debbie Sorry for the delay in responding. If you are on a Chromebook, you are probably using a mobile version of the software. Chromebooks don't have a PC or Mac operating system to download the software. I'm sorry that I don't have a Chromebook to test this out for you. I hope this helps a little. ---Becky
My design space says it is not compatible with anything but OS. It will only let me use a mac. I’ve literally bought a Mac computer and an iPad. Just so I can use design space. What do you mean? I could use the design space with my PC with my windows so infuriating.
Hey Tamee! So Design Bundles has two options: One is to purchase designs individually and the second is to sign up for a Plus Membership, to which there are a few levels to choose from. I'll link the information page here for you in case you would like to check it out. Hope this helps! ---Becky designbundles.net/plus
When I upload a PNG file (with 5 colors) Everything is fine until I insert the image, then one of the 5 colors dissappears and is replaced by another one. Any ideas why? I upload the image as "complex".
Hmmm, this is very interesting. It could be that the software is registering it as the same color or really close to the other? I'm sure that doesn't help you though. I'll see if I can find a better answer for you. ---Becky
SVG is a vector format where as PNG is pixel based. 😊 Many crafters will use SVG files when cutting vinyl, whereas you wouldn't be able to use PNGs for this.
😂😂after about 2 hours of trying to make the background transparent.. Outside of canva since i have the free version, i finally find your video when i remembered that i could do it in design space but didn't know how 🤦🤷😂😂😂

Hey Tamee! So Design Bundles has two options: One is to purchase designs individually and the second is to sign up for a Plus Membership, to which there are a few levels to choose from. I'll link the information page here for you in case you would like to check it out. Hope this helps! ---Becky

---Becky
Can you do this right out of the box. No extra software
Hey Lynn, you sure can, Cricut Design Space is absolutely free and you can use any SVG, PNG and JPG. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Mine keeps saying download
I don’t understand, what is the difference between svg and a png file? They look the same too me. 🤔
SVG is a vector format where as PNG is pixel based. 😊 Many crafters will use SVG files when cutting vinyl, whereas you wouldn't be able to use PNGs for this.
@@DesignBundles thank you for your answer. 😊
