I just got my new to me cricut explore air 2 from my step-daughter and I just could not figure out how to cut my own designs and you were the only one to explain it so I could understand and have success. Thank you!!!
thank you for the clear neat video, I still have an issue though, in your video, 8:54 minutes in, you can see the attach button inactive, that's what i'm facing right now, its not cutting into the position i need and its not allowing me to attach. Looking forward to know the trick to fix this tiny issue, thank you.
Thanks for the comment. It's difficult to say without seeing your screen. I would check you haven't grouped these items together as you'll need to ungroup before attaching. You also need to select more than one layer to attach them. I hope this helps!
Thank you for a great tutorial. I'm looking at getting a Cricut Joy for card making. Can you import an image like the flower vases (7:49) and cut around the image like it was fussy cut?
This image is only suitable for print then cut and print then cut doesn't come with the joy machine. In order for the Cricut to know where to cut, it needs to have those black detection lines printed with the image so there's no real work around to cut out an image you've imported without these printed lines. I hope this helps explain things. Thanks for supporting my channel ☺
The upload type depends on whether you're uploading a jpeg, png or svg. If your black and white image is a jpeg or png, it's always going to be 'flattened' and cricut doesn't control that, it's just how the image is created and so it's necessary to remove the background. You can remove the background without a cricut access subscription by using the magic wand tool or removing it before you upload the image in cricut design space. Whereas svg files don't need the background removed. I hope this makes sense.
I thought i was going crazy. This isn't free anymore. This is now a Cricut Access feature. Geez. You're failing me so hard right now, Cricut. I feel like selling my machine now if you're going to do me dirty.

You got my subscription with her the first literally 10 seconds for that damn woody call Paige
Does Cricut flatten all my b and w images just to make us by the background removing option? Thanks

Thanks for the support ☺
When I open a file, I’m not given the option of “simple, moderate, complex.” My image just opens.
Why?
Cricut recently changed the layout of the upload steps in cricut design space.
Can someone help without jumping around? I need to see the whole thing because mine won’t cut
I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean by jumping around?
When you say yours won't cut, what is happening exactly?
Thank u but I'm still a little confused 😕🤔 only because I'm working off my phone.
Is there a particular part that's causing confusion? The upload layout has changed since this video was released so that could be why.
❤️🙏🏿
ugh this is the old version of the software now
Yeah unfortunately, cricut are always updating things so it's hard to keep up. I've got it on my list to make a new updated video.
So freaking annoying. I'm starting to really hate my cricut. 😞
