- Subscribe to / gtchannel for more car videos. The 2013 Formula DRIFT Championship has come down to the final round at Irwindale Speedway. The series leader, Michael Essa, is out of the event after his car breaks down during a Top 32 battle. The second place points holder, Chris Forsberg, must fight his way to second place or better in order to steal the title from Essa.
Going up against renowned drivers such as Odi Bakchis and 2012 champion Daigo Saito, can Forsberg claim the trophy or will Essa be victorious?

Had to rewatch Daigo coming to congratulate Essa, that was an amazing moment.
So many people wanted Essa to win and I'm glad he did!
I dont care what anybody said about what happened in Top 32, Essa deserved the championship!
I met this guy in FDTX and I have to say he deserved this win...he talked to me like he knew me for ever!! Humble guy and great driver!! Congrats budy!

GodsNotReal95 sounds silly right. However, there's actually a Clipping Point marker that's a large lit up cone. If you hit the cone you lose points.
Why? So Luke could hurt his transmission more so he could pay even more out of pocket to fix it just to lose for sure in the next round? Parts are expensive and privateers aren't made out of money. I wouldn't pay thousands of dollars just to give Forsberg an undeserved present.
So excited for Essa, he fucking deserves it. Sucks the motor blew, glad he didn't lose the championship because of it.
the only v8's in the entire video were Odi's LS and Forsberg's VK Nissan titan V8? maybe the LS is a little played but Daigo's car, Essa's car AND Forsbergs car are far from boring.
