    I recall we would either have a baked Turkey or a baked Ham for the Hollidays, and remember being a child and thinking real hard about what a Ham bird looked like. Sure I knew what a turkey looked like, as we drew those in school, but no Ham bird...hmmmm. I always liked the wing from the turkey, and I guess my family thought I was joking when I asked for the wing when we had Ham. It took me quite a few years to realize why they would never give me my prized wing of Ham.

    How long did you wrap it in foil for?

      There’s no specific time for the wrap, it I would wrap fora minimum of 45 minutes. If you are leaving it longer wrap in foil, then wrap in a towel. This will be good for around 4 hours. Hope this helps.

    Soaking a gammon overnight can help reduce the saltiness a lot if you are intending to use it as ham
