    Best practice with Ninja smoker grill/oven. Preheat and at point of "Add Food" turn off oven then turn on immediately set time temp and "IGN" to start the pellets. Then add food with "Add Food" which will be very quick and you'll have lots of smoke flavor. By igniting pellets at the same time as the oven, the long preheat will burn up your pellets. Try this next time.

      Great tip!! I noticed when they put their pizza in the pellets had already burned out and they didn't get the benefit of having a "woodfired" pizza since the smoke was already done before the pizza went in.

    It goes up to 700F and has a fan for convection. That seems pretty much like an air fryer. I like all the different foods to put it through test. Good job! One thing, I bet if you used a higher temp, like 700F your Neapolitan style pizza would have gotten more oven spring and better cooked bottom. 😉

      @slipstreamvids7422 Рік тому

    • @xmas4203
      @xmas4203 Рік тому +2

      @@slipstreamvids7422 I'd agree with that except one thing. The fan turns off with the pizza preset because pizzas bake better in no convection or the cheese burns before the bottom is done. Yet they still suggest adding pellets for the wood oven flavor.

That's the main thing I smoke and was looking for a nice More convenient way than my wood fired smoker that I have to stand around regulating all the time. I keep waiting for an air fryer smoker combination that a brisket with it in but I guess this isn't even an air fryer.

    • @TheAverageKitchen
      @TheAverageKitchen  Рік тому +1

      Well…. A brisket generally takes 10-12hrs. The pellet hoper on my Traeger is massive. This pellet hoper is SUPER small. So even if you tried, you’d be filling pellets every 20 minutes. Which would be a massive pain in the a$$. Food for thought. Marc

    • @jackle842000
      @jackle842000 Рік тому

      @@TheAverageKitchen might be, really don't take that much pellets for flavor and this uses electric for the primary heat. Most pellet stoves use the pellets as the primary heat source is why they take so much pellets. All you need off the wood is smoke. If they would make an air fryer that Auto fed small amounts of pellets it would cook a brisket in probably 3 hours. Air fryers cook about three times faster than an oven which is why I was disappointed that this is only an oven. For the price I kind of expected it to be an air fryer smoker that would hold enough to do a brisket honestly but apparently it falls far short of that. An air fryer to an oven is kind of like a pot boiling versus a pressure cooker. I was hoping to make smoked brisket super fast. Really just amazes me that there's not something like that out yet. 😢

    Hello everyone- this wonderful thing is AWFUL to clean- so many grids, rack, sharp points, heating element that is about 1/2" or less from bottom, cannot get it clean despite the immediate wipe-down. Also, the grease/smoke seems to block the smoker function. This thing needs some work. I called support and they said to use a diluted baking soda solution and that only took off some superficial residue. This thing is a real mess. I love it- but I really think you shouldn't do steaks in it or any skin-on poultry. Anyone else have tips- please advise!

    After watching this video, it appears that it is not operating at the temps required to get proper results. The chicken was pale, the frozen pizza base was barely cooked on the bottom and the fresh pizza bottom had almost no colour to it. I'm at a loss as to why anyone would buy this.

      Thanks for your POV, I actually thought it preformed well. The level of “doneness” is subjective, some like it well done, some not so much. Thanks for watching. Marc

      I’ve had one for a week now and I agree. I don’t think the stone was heated up long enough. I get great results on my pizzas. They cook in 3-4 minutes and have very crispy, dark brown undercarriages. I think he just needed to pre heat the stone longer.

      @@floydsmamaBrian Lagerstrom's channel has a lot of good pizza dough recipes. The big "secret" is to do a long cold bulk fermentation (skip any preferments he might mention, just mix your dough fully and let it do its thing slowly) - overnight in the fridge is fine but preferably give it 24-48hrs to create delicious fermentation flavors (measure your active dry yeast to be 1% or 0.5% of your flour's weight in grams respectively and aim for water being 55-65% of your flour in grams depending on how airy you want the dough. These are called baker's percentages)

    just 2 guys faffing around and fiding out! I need tried and tested recipes or a comprehensive review showing how long stuff takes. How can his be a review. Potatoes - not crispy enough, brownie underdone. Is your review saying that the over cant cook it right or that you dont know what you are doing? Very displeased
