I don't get why this band is not bigger than they are. This is an amazing band with wonderful guitar work and a great vocalist! This is real talent!

I really didnt expect myself to like this, but her voice and the generic sound and the great story caught my ear. I cant help but dreaming away.. What a girl Joan of Arc was though. But it just shows how far determination and belief can get you. Though she was burned alive, she was only 19 years old and liberated more of France then any king ever could.
She was not determined and her beliefs made her a Saint. She was canonized in 1920. by Pope Benedict XV. and her trial was revisited already in 1456., twenty five years after her heroic death on stake.

***** Alfred said in an interview that these new re-recordings are more a rock style version than a power metal version thats why the drums are "less" power metal even the whole new album Roberto didn't use china cymbals and the voice is in a lower tone cause thats his real singing when he joined the band he used to sing The new World, in the heart of stone in a high pitch live like Elisa used to. The solos are weak yes, cause Enrik in that time didnt record the solos was another member who already left the band many years ago. Enrik's solos are always weak and in an ugly tone
The re-recording is way too clean and pretty much robs all of the soul and energy from the song. The vocals are too soft and unemotional, and it's weird to hear a man singing the role of Joan.
Never heard this band before, I came here looking for the OMD song of the same name. Pretty good.

Ya the fact that we have a song and movies about her hundreds of years later means her sacrifice was not in vain. I imagine there are many other people who have laid such sacrifice but are forgotten by history. At least this one wasn't forgotten!
La mejor banda de heavy español y con diferencia. Una lástima que terminarán cada uno por un lado. Yo los vi cuando estaba Elisa y fue de los mejores conciertos en los que he estado. Además también tuve la suerte de que salíamos por el mismo garito y los veía mucho (el after dark)

That's why the "two finger salute" is the European equivalent to the American middle finger; the French would cut off the first two fingers of the right hand of any English archer they captured. They had the moral high ground by not executing prisoners but said prisoners would no longer be able to use a bow capable of putting a bodkin tip arrow through a French knight's armor at 300 yards. English archers would wave their fingers at French armies before engaging as a threat, basically meaning "I can use a 200 lb draw longbow, I have armor piercing arrows, and very soon I'm going to kill you with these two fingers."

Elisa Martin realmente increible, en mi opinion la mejor voz femenina del metal.
El cover que interpreto de helloween de la cancion halloween es increible, me gusta mas que la oriinal. Obviamente no es lo mismo interpretar una cancion ya compuesta por otro artista, que hacerle arreglos a la cancion. Igualmente increible esa version y Elisa Martin sin palabras.

I have been looking for a song like this for so long. I'm glad I found it. Actually by accident when I was looking for a metal cover of Maid of Orleans by OMD.
Fell in love with Elisa C. Martin through her Fairytale Album. Really love her voice and performance, which is very different from many of those operatic divas in metal.
No matter the year or formation, this will be always Dark Moor's best song!

A woman sings this song... or rather used too, she left the band 2003 and she was replaced with a guy. I don't blame you, they have a fairly similiar voice, easy to mix up.

Todo fue culpa del guitarrista/líder de la banda, no solo sacó a Elisa de la bando sino los otros miembros que demostraban más potencial (El otro guitarrista, el baterista y el tecladista) y también hacían sus propias composiciones y letras para los álbumes 🤷🏾♂️

In the 30ish, a rich american couple got the idea to give and award Quebec city with a statue of Jeanne D'arc, riding a horse...althougth Québec city was founded in 1608, just on the Plain of Abraham, near monuments to the first and second world war, near canons from both the French and English era...there, she stand proud. Guarding this far far away colony, centuries later. This icon, in a french colony, centuries later, speak in itself.
This is Elisa C Martin, the female singer who Dark Moor started with in their begginings. Alfred's first album with Dar Moor is "Dark Moor", released in 2004
