From my experience, you can't have an honest dialog with those people. After a while, I leave those relationships. They were obviously not meant for me. Those people do not give the respect I give them. Pulling away I feel more content. This includes the family also.
I love Stoicism but this video assumes that others have a deep understanding of their inner personality. Alot of people today are very shallow and would simply laugh if you said what is suggested in this video. Perhaps a video on dealing with shallow people?
