"The journey toward inner tranquility and personal growth is not about distancing ourselves from life but engaging with it more meaningfully on our own terms."
I once had a close friend, someone I trusted deeply, but over time, the relationship became toxic. Despite knowing it wasn't healthy, I struggled to let go, always hoping things would improve. Even now, I feel the weight of that decision, as it still affects my ability to fully trust others. Has anyone gone through something similar? How did you find the strength to detach and move on?
Its a primal survival instinct to remember moments of trauma more than moments of joy and take those trauma's with ourselves to "safeguard" us in future confrontations of the same calliber. So its normal to feel the way you do. Thus remember... You suffer more in your imagination than in reallity. Try not to overthink to much, its a different sitiation every time such a situation regarding trust pops up. (Hope this helps.)
Letting go isn't selfish, it's survival. Stoicism teaches us that clinging to the past only stifles growth.
Peace and blessings to you along the journey
Seriously heavy message today, very complicated and will require that I truly look within and pursue this development ❤

Base in fact there are not stupid people int this world. There are clever. So don't confuse a person with a good heart with stupidity!
