Thank you for helping me to stay focus on my purpose and not be govern by my present comfort. Furthermore, I am grateful for learning new ways to control my emotional reactions. It has been a blessing for me.
I never heard anyone verbalized what emotions do to me the way @StoicismandModernLife just did at 1:47 " these same emotions overpower our logic" it hit me right in the third eye, and removed a layer of isolation, of loneliness, that I'm not alone in what is very scary to me when I can feel the emotions taking over and it is as if I can almost see my logic take a leave of absence.....walk away....sort of speak. That feeling of irrationality that comes over when that happens scares the shit out of me. These energies in motion just come in like uninvited guests......thank you for the so far one minute and 47 seconds.

For about a year when I shut out the light to sleep, I have been thinking of 7 things I am grateful for (you said 3), it also works to go to sleep. I have to practice the "pause" action...I will get practice tonight when my trigger gets home.
Marcus Aurelius’ quote about having power over our mind, not outside events, was a highlight for me. It’s a powerful reminder that we control our internal state, not the external world. This principle has helped me stay calm in stressful situations. Does anyone else have favorite Stoic quotes that have impacted them?
This video is absolutely amazing and so meaningful! Thank you for sharing such valuable knowledge, and I hope to see more interesting videos like this in the future
I was particularly moved by the discussion on the space between stimulus and response. It’s empowering to think about that small, crucial gap where we have the power to choose our response. This Stoic principle reminds us that no matter the situation, our freedom lies in our responses. Curious to hear if others have examples of how they've applied this in their own lives?
