Born and raised here in nashville its awsome here its a shame what they are doinf to this beautiful state soon there wont be a tree left only apartments
Thanks for checking out this video @00loudog. Have you gotten a chance to visit any of these haunted places in Tennessee?
It's horrible in Wilson county. The contractors need to be run out; they're eating up all the beautiful farm land in the county!
@@Cheshyre. I work in Wilson county and you're absolutely right it makes me so sad
If you travel anywhere, you can see this happening all over, not just in your area. Humans reproduce exponentially. There are a lot more of us than there used to be, and we have to live somewhere.
Same. The city has been destroyed by the influx of out of towners and the contractors who cater to them.
In the immortal words of the noted Tennessee poet Project Pat:
If you ain't from my hood; you can get from 'round here.
First of all, thanks for posting a video on our wonderful state here in TN. BUUUUUT... How in the world could you make a "most haunted places in TN" video and not talk about one of our most famous/infamous??? The Bell Witch Cave in Adams TN.
Thanks for checking out the channel @tbonejmac09! We know there are a TON of haunted places in the state and will have a video that focuses just on The Bell Witch Cave in the future!
@@FrightNightScares Looking forward to it!
Dude I’m about 30 minutes from there, I’m in Coopertown, same county as Adams
Thank you for the post! ✌🏼😊
Always a good evening to learn some history mixed with the paranormal. Hope all are having a good weekend.
Another Good Video. I really enjoyed it. plz keep them coming.
When I was kid I was taught that Tennessee is the most haunted state in the union. Which of course can't be proven but I wouldn't doubt it.
In the south east of this country it's very different. Some say that if you stay in the south long enough you'll eventually run into the devil.
I live in Tennessee, born in Nashville and raised in Middle Tn, tho i live in East TN in the mountains now. Its a little hot down here with energy of the past but its not the most haunted state, id probably give that to Massachusetts, Salem alone really does have enough energy and connection to the spiritual environment that it's enough for the whole country. You wont meet the real devil down here, but people can believe what they will, there is alot of bloody ground here.
This is Amazing!
Love the video so amazing😊
Good evening to all of you beautiful people from the Philippines hello guys,I wish I could come back to tullahoma
I remember when the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was built...My dad worked for the Construction company that built it...He was one of the contractors.
In Fayetteville , TN we have Camp Blunt . Commander Andrew Jackson . 🎉
I used to worked for the Opryland Hotel in Nashville TN as did my older brother. He was helping with setting up rooms for meetings and conventions when after putting the chairs neatly in place, suddenly the chairs started to be thrown about by unseen forces which was caught on security videocams in the same room. There's a building which I have forgotten the name for it but it's Building #3 and on the 3rd floor is the most active place for hauntings
I live in Knoxville Tennessee. I love the beautiful mountains. Born and raised all my life in Tennessee! So many changes over the years. I live in an awesome area
@Beccaroo690, thanks for sharing!
My brother and I have worked together for the Opryland Hotel and honestly, there's more than what's being said here, a lot more hauntings
Thanks so much for checking out this video @patrickramsey2321. Do you have any stories you remember from when you worked there you'd like to share with us?
@@FrightNightScares I do, if I can tell them on here some which occurred at the Opryland hotel and some at my parent's home
I worked at Opry land too I read the history of that property and all the natives Americans who were living there when they found it just magically vanished never to be seen again aka they killed them and took that land I live 5 minutes from the hotel
Another really interesting video. Tennessee sounds like a really interesting state.
Well, were the first to ban chem trails. We have solid blue skies. Not a single streak or cloud yesterday! It's wonderful
It's awesome here
It really is I lived there for two years and it’s absolutely beautiful
it’s not, trust me😂 been here 21 years and am waiting ever so non patiently to get the fuck out
Visitors welcome! Just not new residents
I can't believe Mt Olivet cemetery in Nashville didn't make the cut. I've had some crazy stuff happen when I was there.
You left off Bellwood cemetery and the whole Bell witch in Adams. The Smith-Trahern mansion in Clarksville, TN with the widows walk. I've seen the lady in black walking on the Widows walk in Clarksville. And don't forget Shiloh national battlefield.
I have a friend that owns a house in a subdivision in Murfreesboro that's adjacent to the SRNB. Every now and then, a fog will come up from the ground and you can smell rotting flesh and hear soldiers talking, officers talking about the next day's battle plan, swords clanking, and heavy footsteps. Then as fast as it came, the fog goes away and it's all quiet again.
That's a good one !!!! I was born and raised here
Those are in my area (Wilson county), and I'm scrolling through comments first, but the Belmont mansion is said to be very active and some people on tour have mistaken Mrs Belmont as an actual tour guide. My aunt lived next to it in Morningside.
I live right by Adam’s and yeah I’m shocked he didn’t mention the bell witch
CARNTON in Franklin ! wow. It really is eerie. I visited there years ago and it feels freaky there. You can hear cannons firing at night
Tennessee has many haunts but the most notable haunt I’ve had in Tennessee is a small town about an hour and thirty minutes north of Nashville called Red Boiling Springs in Macon County. It’s an older hotel called the Thomas House. I’ve never been more astounded and filled with terror doing paranormal hunting. I’d definitely give it a look up and maybe even a visit!
Thanks for tuning into the channel @jacobbroadway4792. We love that suggestion and will definitely look into it for future videos. Can you share a bit about your experiences there?
A bit surprised i didnt see the Bolivar Assylum on here, but not complaining. I absolutely loved this video. Lots of places i dint either know about or know were haunted. One thing I think would be cool is to add an Honorable Mentions or something like that as well at the end of the videos for a bit more brief info on other places. I love those is why I'm suggesting lol. I hope this doesnt come off as rude haha😅.
definitely gonna visit these places when i move out, especially since they're quite close
Im a Tennessee Native. I was adopted by my Aunt and Uncle. We live near the Shiloh Battlefield. I work in the town a little far off and when i drive through there at night. I swear i see the shadows of people running and the sounds of distant yells. It's haunting.
Yea I've lived in Clarksville for a long time and just in the last few years they been popping up suburbs everywhere in the country out in Palmyra
Thanks for checking out the channel @user-er8ez9ts8u. Have you had a chance to explore any of these Tennessee haunted locations before?
Sadie Baker is buried in concord cemetery in Manchester tn. She was a witch buried hundreds of years ago and people kept trying to dig her up,so they poured concrete over it. At night she is supposed to roam around it at night.
I’m from Manchester, and I have heard the stories.
I live right on the river that was the hospital part. You absolutely explained what I hear in the winter and only in the winter usually between mid Jan through early Feb in my chimney. I hear a woman crying but she is wailing the crying is undeniable pain and heart break. I assumed it was a mother who found her child. But this makes so much sense thank you so much. People think I am crazy when I tell them stuff. I hear stuff and feel stuff all the time especially if the air is electric. They don't bother me they can stay all they want but man oh man thank you so much!!
Wow @Lunch_landy! Thanks for sharing, and we believe you!
I live in Murfreesboro and I've gone spooking on the stones river battlefield, nothing super crazy happened but its definitely unsettling at night. There was a run down house around there that we went in to and my friend was chased by a vulture that was living in the house, not sure if you've seen a vulture up close but they are absolutely terrifying lol
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @jerev.2951. That experience with the vulture does indeed sound truly terrifying. Have you gotten a chance to visit any of the other haunted places in this video?
🔥🔥
Marymont Mansion and it's property in Murfreesboro TN is definitely haunted. In the late 90's and early 2000's you could rent a rooms there. The collage kids that stayed there had plenty of weird stories. I partied there one night. Very strange and eerie place. At that time it still had the slave quarters. Those old flip top cell phones everyone had didn't work on the property. But as soon as you stepped foot on the street, you got service. There was a small 10 minute widow at either midnight, one, two or three in the morning it would work. I think it was around midnight. Not 100% sure as that was a long time ago I experienced it. They had these 2 large mirrors, a very old table and piano form that time frame still there. I played the piano, freaked everyone out because there were no working lights in that old mansion. Everybody came running into the room because no one knew I was in there playing it. lol They thought it was a ghost. When I left that party that night, I felt like something came with me. Stayed for about 10 years. I had nothing but bad things happen during that 10 years. Good luck to all those houses they built on that land. I would not live near there.
Used to live in the great state of Tennessee and have been to several of the places highlighted in this video. Never saw a ghost but enjoyed the visit nonetheless!
I still live in Tennessee
I live in Murfreesboro, TN, and I've never knew these places existed!
Theres a church in Atoka that is also haunted, its even said theres some creature in the woods behind the church. Going near/by the church always has a dreadful feeling. I don't go to Covington a lot and when i do i drive by the graveyard during day.
Hey I live in atoka! I heard the first story and had no idea!
Is the church you’re talking about the same church on mt. Carmel?
Wow
just stayed at the read house, so gorgeous.
i went to carnton a couple years ago and i'm a bit sensitive.. on the house tour i felt okay until we got to the back right room. i was stood in front of the fireplace right below the bloodstain on the floor above. it wasn't particularly hot that day, but i felt like i was going to collapse and my vision went blurry. i got this stabbing pain in my gut, had to lean over and was having a hard time breathing. my mom led me into the front room and i started to feel better. as soon as i got out of the house i was totally fine. when i went to the slave houses both me and my brother had this unwelcoming feeling in the left one. i got this overwhelming feeling of sadness as i walked through, then had the feeling a male was standing over me wanting me to leave. i started to tear up and walked out. the cemetery is quite peaceful. the property itself is very somber but beautiful, especially the garden. you definitely aren't alone there. i would so love to back and spend more time on the grounds but i live in east tn. there's A LOT of haunted residential homes in east tn and the appalachia is a whole other beast.. as the saying goes "if you seen something, no you didn't. if you heard something, no you didn't."
Thanks so much for checking out this video and for sharing that experience @stephaniehamilton1697. You'll have to let us know if you get a chance to go back for another visit. Do you have anything in particular you can share with us about what you know about some East Tennessee or Appalachia haunts?
@@FrightNightScares i didn't know about most of the places on the list, so thank you for the info!
iactually have never been anywhere else that is public and known to be haunted. the carnton plantation was spur of the moment, and i do hope to revisit. it really is rich historically.
like i said there's a lot of haunted residential (private) homes that have creepy crawlies in east tennessee, but the only public places that i know of that are known to have activity are the knoxville bijou theatre and brushy mountain penitentiary.
as for appalachia i'm not the most knowledgeable about the lore, but it's known for skin walkers (i'm not totally a believer but i'm not testing it lol). i WILL say as a teen i was walking alone in the woods with my dog when it went dead silent like i was in a quiet room. there are also "mimicks" that people all over east tn have claimed to of encountered. family members and myself have heard someone call our name or say "hey" when no one has spoke or are even around to say it.
hope to see more content on tennessee. there aren't very many videos on the haunts of tennessee, which is weird considering the lives lost in the the civil war on it's ground.
I live and grew up 45mins N. of Nashville. Yea we have alot of amazing things here in Tennessee. Gaylord Opryland bout 400.00 a night.😲
Oh, so that sounds like somewhere around the Adams area. I assume you know about the Bell Witch Cave? I lived around that area for about 15 years or so.
Yeah it's crazy expensive I was born and raised here and have never stayed there I remember when it actually had rides I live 5 minutes from Opry land and have never stayed there I tried to work there but felt bad charging people 8 dollars for a soda
Same, but I'm a tickle closer. Which direction do you hail from? I'm 30 minutes east of.
I live in middle Tennessee
@ShortLungs Have you been to any of these places?
@@FrightNightScares I haven’t but I plan on it actually very soon!
anyone from clarksville tn?
I lived there when I attended Austin Peay State University. Great town. I live in Nashville now
Anyone else from East TN?
Johnson City area?
Athens, between Chattanooga and Knoxville
Kingsport
The Old Harriman Hospital in Harriman, TN is haunted as shit too. Surprised you didn't mention it.
As a person stationed here, I will be looking for these areas
Thanks so much for checking out this video @kiera260. Please let us know if you get a chance to explore any of these spots and if you experience anything particularly spooky or frightening!
What about the rest of the state you stopped about mid state. Are you going to do a second one to finish up the state?
Thanks for checking out this video @serinachilders74. We know there are so many haunted places around and will follow up with another video or several on more specific places in the future. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see featured?
I live in Springfield tn, not far from Adam's tn. Tn is very interesting state
Thanks for tuning in @Jamiescarlett84. Have you gotten a chance to visit any of these haunted locations?
@fridaynightscares, the only one is in Madison, 30 from Nashville, Thomas Jefferson place, people have taken pictures of rooms and caught women in Victorian like dresses. As for bellwitch no, my 6th grade teacher went and she got pushed, she was last in line, from different stories, blondes are not liked. In Nashville there is a abandoned womens prison I'd love to go too.
You missed the most famous Ghost Story of them all, the Bell Witch.
You should have spoken more on the "slaughter pen". The confederates were surrounded and there was no cover since the ground was just limestone slabs with very shallow stone valleys (inches deep, certainly not deep enough to hide like a trench). The Stones River ran red as the blood couldn't soak into any ground and ran down the stone slabs into the river. It was a massacre and one of the turning points of the war. You can go tour the very spot on the stones where the blood stood up to their knees. The cemetery is not far. The youngest gravestone i found was a boy of just 10 years old ( I think there is an 8 year old buried there too).
I live in Chattanooga TN but I've never been to the REED House. I may do that this summer
Thanks for tuning in @deanmullins695. You'll have to let us know if you get a chance to check out the spot. Have you gotten a chance to visit any of these other TN haunts?
I go to Chattanooga every week to visit the cemeteries I live in Bridgeport AL just 30 minutes from Chattanooga but I like taking the back way for the beautiful nature out through there
I live in Coffee County and just less than 35 minutes from me is Sewanee/ Monteagle, and it's haunted as hell. Specifically The university of the south. And the walking trails surrounding the area
Thanks for tuning in to the channel @ghostme1635. Do you have any specific spooky experiences you'd care to share with us about the area?
You forgot about the Bell Farm in Adams Tennessee about which the movie An American Haunting was made which is about a witch 😁
Thanks for checking out this video @BladeObssession. We actually have and entire video in the works dedicated to just that. Keep your eye peeled for that release in the future!
Shiloh is Haunted; I wasn't prepared 4 it; I had no idea that when dusk arrives, it's time to leave the park.
bell witch cave didnt make the cut?
Thanks for checking out this video @macmaticusttv9723. We know there are SO many haunted places in TN and believe that there is enough on The Bell Witch Cave to warrant its own video. Keep checking back to see one just on this in the future!
No list of the top most haunted places in Michigan yet is unacceptable 😤
WHAT!? No Bell Witch… it is by far more haunted than Gaylord… come on… I worked at Opryland Park and had heard stories of Lady Magavock but she is nothing compared to the Infamous Bell Witch of Adams Tn in Robertson co. I went there and didn’t believe but what I witness that afternoon in the cave on the Bell property.. will haunt me forever. I will never go back… maybe you should do your research a bit further and report on the Bell Witch. You shall not forget it.
My house is haunted, I've seen lots of things like a headless man go through a door and out the window
You think you can convince the ghost to pay rent.
I used to weedeat mount carmel
EAST TENNESSEE, specifically Kingsport TN is rich with ghost stories and hauntings. The town known as "The Model City" it gets it's name from the North Fork of the Holston River being a port for the King at one time. Historical Netherland Inn Rd is also home to the old haunted hospital and the Rotherwood Mansion with it's storied past involving the ghosts of slaves chained there all those years ago. Another historic house by the river still has a cannonball stuck in the side from the Civil War. And don't forget the Sensebaugh Tunnel, about 5 minutes from my house, known for ghost sightings and they say that if you drive into the tunnel after dark , turn off your engine and throw your keys up under your driver's seat and as you try to find them you hear a baby cry and a dark figure can be seen entering the tunnel and...WHEW! 😥 (Thank God I found my keys!)
Thank you so much for checking out this video and for sharing that awesome info about other spooky spots in TN. We love hearing that history and experiences from our listeners. Have you gotten a chance to explore any of the haunted locations in this video?
@@FrightNightScares I haven't had the pleasure but that would be awesome. Excellent descriptions.

And didn't mention Dolly didn't want Nothing to do when she found out Opryland Hotel was Owen by Marriott. Case Closed
Sandmountain, Birchwood tn
Orlando fl has a Gaylord hotel also. Myself and my mom got to stay there once for a convention she had for her job. Boy oh boy that place had everything. I'll probably never be able to experience it again cause it's extremely pricey and I'm poor but I'll never forget it.

@@FrightNightScares thank you for making these video's! I wish but I've never been to Tennessee before. I live in Florida. The skyway bridge has some spooky stories about it if you ever decide to do another video on FL. Tampa has some haunted spots too.
9:46 The "N" in Mrs. Mary J. Brown's last name is backwards lol
I like looking at the areas not particularly into the supposed hauntings which I do not believe.
Doesn't matter if you believe. I lived in a haunted house in Cookeville. House next door was too. Innumerable odd events happened. I watched grown men run in fear.
I live in Tennessee and I’ve been to stone river a lot but here where I live (on a war ground) In a small town it’s haunted here too I see crap all the time

The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis is supposed to be haunted.
I got one for you..and its true...here in Lincoln county theres an area known as yukon...there is a church there with a graveyard that has some weird stuff happens ...one night many years ago..me ..my high school girlfriend..my uncle and another friend rode out there one night ( very late)to check it out...while going down the driveway to get to it there was. A black dog layin in the road ..we kept rolling up on it slowly till it finally got up and let us thru..went to church/graveyard hung out for few...then as we were leaving out we came up on a woman dressed in black holdin a baby and was standin in road ..we stopped...she then walked over to drivers side of car(girlfriend driving) and started telling us that we almost ran her over when we first got there...and got really hostile about it when we started disagreeing with her ...to the point she was pulling on the window trying to force it down..i told my girlfriend to just drive ..just go...and she did..thank goodness because i woulda probably pissed myself if the encounter was any longer...i dont care if anyone believes it or not ...me and 3 other people saw it...i will never forget that shit

@@FrightNightScares it was a dam that had an alarming amount of deaths related to work, violent acts, and natural disaster. It was built on top of a cavern system that is said to be around 200 feet below river level. I'm not the best at retelling facts about places, but I've been there and it's atmosphere is pretty spooky, what with the abandoned run down dam. They also hold a haunted house there every year, definitely check it out
I worked around there in 1987 and didn't see anything that was haunted
MURFREESBORO MENTIONED
Buffalo valley, tn here … I’m along the civil war trail
I was out at shiloh with my husband and kids. We were at marker 11 and heard rifles and cannon fire, and one of my kids and i heard the faint yelling of men off in the distance. When we went to the next marker, the sounds had stopped and everything was very quiet. Marker 11 is a mass grave of confederate soldiers. These guys are still fighting with each other almost 200 years later. Someone needs to bring them a few cases of beer and let them know the war is over lol.

I can't remember the name of the church. But there is a church and there is one hymnal book on one of the benches. And the story goes if your try to take it out of the church it will get yanked out of your hand and it ends back where you picked it up from. More than likely a myth but you never know.

All wars are stupid, yet, happens.
Read about the USA civil war! That is where you will find about Gettysburg!
The civil war was about government over reach. Our constitution says the states have a right to self govern, but the Republicans in the north didn't want the democrates in the south to be able to govern themselves. We literally fought great Britain over a 1% tea tax. Our whole country was founded on the principles of freedom.
@codzy3532 You guys lost a fight with a bird. i really don't wanna hear about stupid wars from you, bro. 😂😂😂
You being Australian wouldn't understand. Kinda like the Irish and their IRA. Over catholics wanting to practice their religion. The country is split in half. We fought so our country wouldn't be split up.
Raise your hand if you spent a night at Mount Carmel with your friends 🙋🏼♀️
Thanks so much for checking out this video @katiesmith1062. Do you have any cool or spooky stories to share about your experiences at Mount Carmel?
@@FrightNightScares unfortunately I do not. I refused to get out of the truck. But there was a lot of lore going around school. One in particular about never touching the cross above the door. I can say that the feeling is very heavy.
