I loved this game as a kid. Started playing again yesterday. I can't remember what level made me look for a playthrough, but here I am. Going to try my best not to use this to cheat, but when you've only got one life left... xD Made it to level 18, so far, so good. You got lucky on that level. I'm battling with it.

I have this game and it is really brutal. I also have another one call Championship Lode Runner and holy shit that game is even more brutal in its puzzle solving.
I had this game for NES and I remember putting in a lot of hours. Didn't it also have a stage creation mode? I vaguely remember making my own levels and they sucked lol
This game has pretty intense gameplay for a NES game. It requires high manual skill, good puzzle solving skill, thinking ahead of your and enemies' moves and being able to quickly and properly react to a current situation.
Looking back it seems alot of the difficulty comes from the fact that you can't see whats off screen. The camera doesn't keep you in the middle of the screen.
I had this game while forward deployed in the Navy. We created a competition between watch teams to create maps that would need to be completed by the other teams. Our only rule was that the level had to be complete able. Awesome memories.
The plot of the original bomberman was that he wanted to escape the bomb factory to become free instead of endlessly making bomb everyday. The other robots were ordered to destroy him since basically became a defect. In the end he escapes and becomes human somehow.
Me and my sisters used to pause the game at the beginning, discuss about how to reach the gold mounts, and then continue with the plan we came up with 😁 it was such a good game
This game brings me back the few good memories with me and my sister back in 1997 as 8y olds. 25y ago. I remember few levels. We played it togheter. Was fun. Sadly I haven't seen my sis 10years..and we don't speak. How life changes. As kids it's all fun and friendship we grow up just little bit and we hate each other like enemies...

This game is very similar to Gyromite. In Gyromite you gotta collect bombs while avoiding green dragon-like creatures, and distract them with food, or crush them with the red and blue pipes.
We used to have SO MUCH FUN playing this my brothers and i. Half of the fun came from panicking and swearing our asses off whenever the sons of bitches came too close, it was amazing.

when i was a kid im so terrified to play this game and as an adult i can see it why probably because of the music specially when he got caught by bombermen and the game over soundtrack.
I always confused this one for Boulderdash in the rental store, funny since I never rented either of them. I heard much later in life what a legend of early gaming history this series was and took a chance on the fantastic XBLA revival that released sometime in 2008 or 2009. I guess I regret not having given this ancient-looking-even-at-the-time game a chance when I was a kid.
there was a time back in 90s when i was stuck at level 34, i dont know how my chip get hanged exactly at level 34 but now watching this it seems so easy😅and also want to add that when first time i cleared stage 50 and stage 1 is started again i thought i messed up pretty big and i hv to do it again, but then it also happen 2nd time and that time there was no internet so i asked my friends and they also said the same, then i got peace❣️

I played a lot of this game on my "Famiclone" during my childhood. It was one of my favorite games, along with Track & Field and Road Fighter

Lode Runner is basically like Dark Souls. Very hard game to master even on the opening levels. One even small mistake and its GAME OVER.
