The price is ridiculous, when there are so many other options for far less out there for far less that also handle winter!... These guys are out-pricing themselves out of the market!
You are totally correct. I was stunned when I saw the price. Can you imagine for a truck camper. What is the world were they thinking. It has nothing else and less than other truck campers. With that said, there must be some people that don't mind paying for the name. Insanity.
A truck is about 50 grand, this thing is 69 grand, heck , just get a 100 Grand RV :D be done with it

As a custom builder myself I understand how expensive certain projects can be. Anything can be built and everyone wants a product that is awesome, amazing and cool but they have no idea how much is involved. Bottom line, if a product cannot be sold at a profitable price then it isn't marketable. But if customers are willing to pay the price for an awesome product, then kudos to the company that's producing such a product. These campers are in a class of their own.
You can get a rv for that price keep it

The ICARUS 6 is a beautiful camper. Good material, set up. The only thing that I don't like is the price. For a retired with fix income is not possible to get some things like this. The price need to work. Thank you for sharing this information with me. Have a great day.

My friend bought a jayco 32 foot trailer brand new for $19,000 and that was 10 years ago... So I have to laugh when I see a 70,000 price tag for a pop-up tent.

I've got to get into making these campers, look at the profit margin. They couldn't have spent more than a couple thousand dollars in materials and maybe that much more in labor.
@@Couchlover47 where do you live? Fiberglass fabric and resin and a few boards can do most of the structure and that doesn't cost that much at least where i live it doesn't.
@@keltonfoster the electric along probably costs around 4,000 to 5,000 dollars and that doesn’t include the labor for an electrician. Then the cost of the wood to make cabinets is more expensive than regular plywood. Then the cost of the carpenters to build. It probably cost at least 20,000 to 30,000 dollars to build just in parts, then add in labor. They are probably still making pretty high profile though.
@@scott0551 you must not work with your hands much to believe that. How much wire and batteries do you think it would cost for a camper this size? I bought an inverter and some lithium iron phosphate batteries to run my home and spent less than a thousand dollars. Where do you shop at on Hollywood boulevard?
70K! Hell you can get a nice 5th wheel for that. More space , bells & whistles, + once you've got camp set up, your truck is free to do & go other places. I suppose a truck bed camper has it's place, but 70K!?

Been following you for a very long time,seems like only yesterday,believe since you first did you tube ,you have come a long way,but do wish you do a segment on old campers,so many new,but old ones can be just as fun ,I myself have a old Texson of 1985 that is mint,except did modify a little with solar, bought so reasonable that,put all these over priced campers to shame,sorry am a bargain hunter.

It looks nice and well thought out but pricey it would seem to me they could have used wood slats instead of welded aluminum like in the production of fiberglass boats to make it a little more affordable for the average Joe or slightly lower than the average Joe! Many can’t afford putting a slide in camper into a truck that costs as much as the truck that they bought especially in our current economy!
