Are any of these compatible with the Colorado? Many companies forget about Chevy when making mods.
I asked Scout... and it's confirmed to fit the Colorado. 👍
@@JasonExplainsThings thanks
4:55 seconds in.. I was soooo stoked to go inside. Now I'm ready to come out. Very plain. 😢
@@MyFriendlyPup yeah I’m trying to find where I can purchase a set of windows like that. So far everyone says they’re only for sale for replacement of a purchased camper. 🤦♂️ I want them for a diy square drop camper build.
wow I am so happy they released something for us 5ft ranger owners!
If the man wouldn't tell you the price you know it's not cheap!!
Seriously. Give us a ballpark if the price isn’t set yet. Is it $5000 or $50,000?
@@rickysiebert9618 starts at $24,000 and up.
That's close to the Kimbo $23k base price. Right now I have a molded fiberglass over cab slide in utility body in a 2008 Tacoma 4x4 with the 6' bed. I guess I'll stick with what I have. I need to do some interior reconfiguring to optimize it.
Well, maybe it’s not a non-for a profit🤔😆
Says 16.5k in description
I love the modern interior. Lots of companies just can't let go of the seventees look, like marble look counter tops and rounded edged wooden doors.
My story, moved to Beaver Oregon 2020 from SE Florida, I am a Life long Jeep man, Turned Toyota Tacoma late in life,I have traveled back to Florida for life's family matters. Purchased a 1998 4×4 Toyota Tacoma and will be driving it back to THE GREAT PACIFIC NORTHWEST!
So cool! Thanks for showing us something new.
Great lightweight option for trucks. I had no idea they were made in Yakima.
Me neither for a long time!
I like the super light weight! Are you putting one on your tacoma??
Never say never. :-). Maybe they’ll let me borrow one. I’d need to take the Prinsu rack off to run it.
I'm glad I just upgraded my leaf springs!
Perfect for the new Nissan Frontier Pro4X
Yeah I bet that has more payload than my Tacoma
If it sleeps 4, and under 20k well equipped? I’m interested in checking them out.
Looking forward to a on the road build for R /D TEST ADD ONS Shops to Promote products.Starting this adventure a little late ,however I have always been on an adventure!
Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸, I love the scout, they have one for the Maverick.
Maverick has more payload capacity than that Tacoma! Lol
@@rickysiebert9618 booyah 👊🏽😁👍🏽🇺🇸
I dont have a jeep- i still think its cool,it fits on the gladiator. !
I would actually put this in my 2022 tundra since it only has a 5'5" bed. I might have to sell some stuff and try one of these.
with a simple shower room, i will buy one tomorrow.
My dad worked for international haverester they made farm tractors and trucks back in the day they made two trucks the travelaw and the scout the scout was a small truck I think it had 2 doors it had a hard top and I think a soft top something of a jeep nowadays its interesting that you have a camper with the name scout
Another reason to buy the new taco!
Yep! The payload is a huge upgrade.
I want something like this without a overhead bed. Have dinette turn into a queen bed. Then just a burner and prep space with refrigerator.
Since bed can turn into dinette, use those sections like under seats storage areas.
Thankyou, great segment. Seems a little heavy for it's size and goal to "not" be too heavy. Think I'd still prefer a Moonlander to this. Mainly because of the weight.
just missing an AC. Would be nice with a small 5,000 btu dometic ac
Only thing missing is the option to add the tent pop-up and it would be perfect
Yeah, they have models with that as an option. Depends on the weight capacity of the roof.
@@JasonExplainsThings yea but then need a bigger truck
Yep.
Your in Yakima, you need to go see cubcrafters
Yeah I'm familiar with them.
I can tell you with no doubt that this will put all midsize over payload!
Is this an "branch/subsidiary" of WESTERN RV?
Parent company is Adventure Manufacturing.
A Kimbo is similar aesthetic and superior in every way.
Not in price. They range in price from $23k-$41k. Eff that noise.
They made smaller Kimbo so Tacomas don’t look retarted?
Can you put a Kimbo on a Gladiator?
Almost as cool as a Kimbo :)
Honestly I would buy either this or Kimbo. High quality campers the both of then
I have a 2002 dodge dakota sport with a V6 3.9L engine. Would these campers work for that?
Most likely yes. Just check your payload rating and maybe ask Scout.
@@JasonExplainsThings I appreciate the quick reply, you gained a sub sir.😎
For me Chevy truck 2002moble
So just keep your gear, water & food at home, and you'll remain underweight.
😂
LOL 😂, you have to make 2 trips .
Base price Dec 14, 23 = $16,500
I live in the south and need ac! Lol
Are these out? I'm interested because of the weight. I would love to see if they have a pop tent option too.
Yep they’re taking orders. Scout actually just announced a partnership with GFC for their RTTs which is rad. I believe the TukTut isn’t able to run a tent on too because they built it to keep weight low. But I’d check with them.
Cool..now give it a bathroom.
Yeah that adds a lot of complexity, space requirements, and weight. That's what RV's and heavy duty truck campers are for. They do have a spot for a cassette toilet.
Ever hear of a bucket and trash bag ???? Why carry 💩 around with you or have to empty some kind of container that holds 💩💩💩💩💩💩 ????
I love this thing but I have a 2023 trd off road with a sticker payload of 990 pounds lol. Would need to upgrade the rear leaf's to HD and the struts
Yup! I have the same payload.
Beautiful campers . . . sadly they will overload a Tacoma. Absolutely not safe.
Yeah it maxes out the payload. That’s why I was a bit bummed when he said 900 lbs. 4th gen Tacomas will not have this issue as bad it sounds like.
Does anybody know how much these cost?
Price is public and there’s a link in the description. They start at $16k.
Starting at $16,500 for the Tuktut. You’re welcome.
Thanks Ricky. The link with price has been there since 2 days after publishing. When I filmed the video they hadn't settled on the price yet.
I believe these campers start at around $16K according to another video I watched.
Yep. Pricing came out right after filming this. Thanks for watching!
Starting at $16500 🤣
Yes , for a shell . LOL 😂
They are ridiculously over-priced. $16.5 - 27k?!?! And your water source is a gravity-fed plastic water jug that costs $15 on Amazon? It probably costs them $3-5k to build one of these things. Includes a Goal Zero Yeti 1500X! Wow! You can buy one yourself for $1800...
Cool. Sounds like you aren't in the market for one of these then.
Buy a special order cargo trailer with windows already installed and camper stye side door and build the inside to your liking. Then the money you save can be put away for any emergencies. Mine is beautiful, like a log cabin.
TOO HEAVY!!! Why is it that these RV companies constantly overload rated capacities of vehicles and don't tell their consumers?
Weight is clearly communicated by them online and in person. Not sure what your issue is.
Jason, They don't communicate that the weight exceeds rated capacity of the vehicles they say they are for.@@JasonExplainsThings
How don’t they? You simply need to know your payload and ask how much something weighs.
@@JasonExplainsThings My Tundra Double cab 6 1/2 foot bed has a payload of 1300 lbs. if I put one on the truck I would have leave it empty and drive by myself and I just might be legal.
@@JasonExplainsThingsYou are a bit of a #itch, quite obviously.
Can Honda Ridgeline carry it?
Probably. I'd ask them to confirm that.
@@JasonExplainsThings Thanks. I’m looking forward to it
@@chatonthego5101LOL 😂, it fits with the rear end dragging .
Never understand why not give a base price 16500 😂 if someone is serious they will buy if they aren’t they won’t. Sales tactics of the past are dated. People want transparency.
Hey dude, the video was filmed before it was set.
At that price point I’ll just sleep in the cabin 😂 yikes..
I get that. I’m old school and use a ground tent most of the time. I can see this being very cool for people who camp/off-road year round. Very impressive in person.
Cheaper than a lot of popup campers lol
I don't care for all those things, just want a camper to sleep in...
Oru design
6:30 lol, a good non committal politician response to a simple question.
It’s public now… they start around d $16k.
It virtually has nothing
.. looks heavy. Really heavy.
Too much!
Basically, it's a nothing burger. No information was given.
Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!
With out a restroom it is just an overpriced tent.
Thanks for stopping by!
BLABLABLA LOOK LIKE WC PUBLIC :)))
Yalima is a rather large city
Its not bad pricing wise with all upgrades under 29000
Pricing and build is up on the website already.
Yep. 👍
Does it fit 2nd gen Frontier?
I'd check with Scout but I'd imagine so. It fits in a Ford Maverick!
Does it fit ??? But is it overweight????
@@Pea-bj2qv It definitely would be overweight. Decided to stick with my GoFastCamper
17k?
Do you leave the trail gate on or off is there any propane or water is there a small cook stove and the battery , fuse box, switches and maybe a cassette toilet thanks
Depends on the truck bed length I believe.
You can add the things you want and save thousands by doing it. LOL 😂
