I love the detail of the bishop coming to excommunicate him. I like how it's not just hur dur Catholic mean and bad
I was surprised by historical-ness of all of it. To be honest, I thought the game would use the setting as a backdrop and because it was convenient, but seeing the hauntingly beautiful battlefield/siege segment and the archbishop excommunicating Vilaris was so cool
RK9ify Yeah during the Plagues people lost a lot of faith in central authority, so human rights and peasants became much more important
Historically Catholics was far worse back in the dark ages in medieval times many used Catholisism as means too power and were self anointed basterds who claim to be God's voice and whatever says goes abusing thier authority over the commoners too murder and rape and steal whom they chose and stood in thier way. Also killed those who were also Christians but since "they weren't anointed by the church" Anything they said was blasphemy and against God and the church also abused their powers yet again. In retrospective Catholisism actually kicked off the start of Luciferism and Satanism. Alot of reformed Catholics that left Catholisism back in the 16th and 17th Century were excommunicated, tried and found guilty by the church unless the come back too Catholisism.... alot of them like John Wycliffe knew about what the Holy Bible at that time said and brought the Bible out of Latin into English known as the common tongue of the ppl around that time.... so ppl can know the truth but did not matter The church found out about that killed him and his family of this "heresy" so yeah Catholisism was alot more evil, self entitled basterds at that time of history.
Absolutely loved this game. Played it when it first came out and have been recommending it to anyone I can since then. I didn't get a chance to replay it before Requiem and I simply can't wait since it looks so good and I've been dying to play it. But appreciate this vid for the recap while waiting for the download! Got me caught up and all pumped up again for the story. I hope this series gets more recognition off this sequel! Overall great vid!

I learned that during the development of this game, only a handful of people made the music, which was impressive in and of itself. The story, characters, and the landscape all together made for a truly breathtaking game. I can't wait for the sequel to come out next year!
The part about why he should not go into the water....... that's never explained. Is it because the plague is in his blood and being in the water can spread it? Or is that just a mother being worried?
I dont think its that deep. Just an over protective mother and a reason to add to the tension of Amencia lying to her brother about their mothers death

I still can't understand about the threshold thing. Like..what's the matters about it untill it is impacted to amicia? Why does hugo have to kill amicia because of that kind of threshold thing? I'm still confused..
The Prima Macula has several stages, like a progressive disease. The threshold is a very big and dangerous step that they don’t want him to pass, which is why they make the elixir to slow it down.
The Inquisition is trying to push Hugo past the threshold. A lot of stress seems to accelerate the process, so they force him to kill Amicia.

I just got playing through the game, and I'd give it a 7/10.
+ The story was entertaining.
+ The voicework was excellent.
+ The graphics looks really nice on PS5.
- The gameplay was a bit inconsistent. (When aiming to throw items, the aimer will occasionally randomly unlock even if the target doesn't even move.)
- The lack of a notification of some sort before irreversible choices are taken, some of which are easy to mistake for further exploration.
- The autosave function can leave you occasionally in a bad placement.
- Switching between ammo types and firing modes can be frustrating at times.
Spoiler, but it's more of a personal gripe:
Outside of the npcs that speak generic dialogue as you pass by, there is a disproportionate number of deaths between genders that really stood out quite a bit.
Dead prominent male npcs: 8 +/-
Dead prominent female npcs: 0
(By prominent, I mean that they are featured in cutscenes, or reoccur over several chapters)
Thanks for that video. I played the game but couldn't bring myself to finish it because of its (imo) terrible gameplay. When I played it I wished I could just skip all those boring one solution puzzles, overly scripted chases and terrible combats to just see the important scenes and that's what you did.
It's a shame because every other aspect of the game is great. Visuals are amazing, the universe is cool and intriguing, the story is nice and the acting is good. At least the french one

Redblade The puzzles in this game are actually really easy which is part of the reason I couldn’t get through the game. Mostly though it was the slow pacing of the game itself.
Redblade The puzzles were easy and tedious to complete. It felt like the game was too drawn out for its unoriginal puzzle design. Don’t get me wrong, the story was intriguing but the puzzles kind of killed it for me. I honestly don’t hate the game I think its plenty fun but at some point you just don’t want to do the same basic puzzles every chapter to get through to the cool parts.

I'm not sure there is anything more telling (or maybe foreboding is a better word) about the human race than a video having 23,000 views and less than a thousand likes. I mean you literally are giving something to people for free and yet still, less than 1 in 20 are willing to take a half of a second to hit like. All 23,000 are aware that your livelihood depends on those likes but they still will not do it.
And I'm surprised when we spend 500 million dollars on a college stadium rather than i don't know, feeding the world for a couple of days.
UGH and the worst part is I'm no better than anyone else. Even after posting this I will probably not live up to my potential even in the next hour or two.

I feel as if dog deaths are overused, I get it in something like John Wick but not in a lot of stuff, it’s upsetting to see and an overused thing in stories.
Redblade I wish they had something like maybe something closer to her dieing, it didn’t feel all that emotional when the dog died, it’s still a good game anyways
