- 👋🏻 Hey guys! In this video I'll be walking you through exactly how I was able to study 1,620 hours in 6 months for the USMLE Step 1 exam. I was able to study this hard for this long thanks to my 4 hour method of studying that I discuss in great detail in another video. I understand everyone studies differently and this is what works for me - I hope you find it useful.

Please make a video on how you revise and schedule your revision.
You are very inspirational. And because of your inspiration I was able to rank first in a national level quiz. Thank you . And I will never forget how you inspired me. My parents are very proud of me. But the actual inspiration behind my success is you . And now because of you I have a national title. Thank you Nasir.

OK, let's be real. You need to start making TED talks, because this advice is ALL absolutely fire. Keep up the good work!
I totally agree with you

“Learn to say no”

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”
-Aristotle
Idk why, but this reminds me of when I used to set a timer for 5 mins during exams to cry. Once the 5 mins are over I get back to work.😂
Dealing with stress your way. Interesting
That’s genius
I'm gonna use that tip
Holy wow ! I needed that
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Studying 10 hours a day and simultaneously learning to run 10km in under 50 mins ... call it what it is.. superhuman
I call it legend
1. Strict study schedule
Know in advance how you will use the time during the day
Clearly define the EXACTLY time at which you will work / study / do business and strictly adhere to this plan
2. Consistence is key
The key skill is to learn how to produce consistent results whenever you need them. Regardless of your mood, good or bad days.
3. Learn to say NO
If your good friend invites you to have coffee together, learn to say no.
Do you want to play video games? But now is not the time for that - just learn to say no.
Just postpone this activity for another time. Write it down on your future to do list and schedule it later.
The less exception you have for "No", the more productive you will be.
It's just discipline.
4. Make time for fun
Be sure to plan what brings you joy and pleasure.
There is no point in studying and working forever. Especially when you start to hate this process.
Use this time to meet friends, read, play games. Enjoy at this time what you wrote down on your to do list later..
A change of activities is the key to a rest that "fills" you.
5. Exercise regularly
This is not only important for health and beauty in the long run.
Playing sports creates a large number of benefits that are invisible at first glance.
it is also your investment in a pure mind. When the mental reset happens.
In addition, during sports activity, the body creates a large amount of hormones. Because of what you stay longer productive, motivated.
6. Managing your stress
Learn to recognize when you are stressed
Find a way that suits you to deal with stress
Maybe you need to talk to yourself and understand the causes of stress. Maybe call and chat with people close to you
Stress never goes away, and you will have to learn how to cope with it anyway. Stress can't build up forever
7. Positive mindset
Your general attitude towards your life affects everything. Deal with it
How do you feel about your work or learning? How can you make your attitude work FOR you and not AGAINST you?
The more reasons you like. The easier it is to do what you do
8. Focus on what’s in front of you
If you focus all the time on HOW MUCH you need to do, then it is very difficult to act.
Therefore, you need to make a clear plan for what your attention will be directed to for the next 24 hours.
Plan your attention for the next 12 hours, 6 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes. The better you manage your attention, the easier it will be for you to get results. The more pleasure you will get from the process
Thank you for a great video!
The world: wow, 10 hours a day......
Medical students: Only 10 hours.....
That's so true I will cry
:....(
yeah online classes are more exhausted and consumes more time than face to face.. morning classes 8-12, afternoon classes 1-6 then after 6pm there’s post lecture quizzes plus the assignments - case study, modules, video presentation, demo the next day, reporting and lecturio video that are assigned and needed to finish :( please go away COVID, i feel i’m going to learn better at school face to face.

there's also just the factor that you're in the same environment all day, the location and context is very important for memory formation.
personally for me, without a change in the environment, everything becomes very monotonous, and time just feels blended into the days passing by, it doesn't feel like you're making progress, and its very hard to see exactly where you are on your journey and how much further you need to go.

Action before mood. Your never going to feel like it every day but make it habitual
:(. I have some days where I have this really sporadic energy or just feel really low. I can't do anything on those days. I wish I could somehow be better at tackling them. They fuck up all of my workload that I've planned for.

abullah shabbir have you considered approaching a psychiatrist if you are able to? I really think they might be able to help you.
@@sanhitamehta5111 I don't think it's a mental issue though. It's more about discipline. I have a lot of troubles sticking to routines that kharma advocates for :(((
Yea correct
Hey Nasir! I really appreciate the motivation you give to this generation. And even though you are so busy, you do justice in editing all your videos.
A big hug. Keep it up!!

I think I haven't even studied 1620 hours in my entire life
😂
It isn't even how much you study per day it's studying every single day consistently.
I'll get into med school in a couple of months and seeing you thrive like this gives me motivation for my career too. 💛💛
Does he also work or why or how does he take classes? I'm kind of confused because in another video he says he studies from early morning. Or did he take a semester off to study for Step 1 only?

The stress management part was SO HELPFUL. I usually find myself stuck in a stress loop and losing motivation every now and then because I keep getting overwhelmed thinking about the future. Will definitely try the 10 minute rule. You’re the best!!!THANKSS!!

Thank you so much for making this, I've recently returned to studying in my adult life and was finding managing full-time work and staying on track with studies. This helped hugely!

This is really good advice! I like your idea of the 10 minute box. Sometimes I can have a perfectly productive day, sticking to my schedule until something that I can't control comes up and throws me off completely. I'll try to practice your idea and see how it goes! Personally, it would be useful if you could talk about the feelings that come up with progress (or the lack of it) once you're preparing for an exam for such a long time 😊
