"remove distracting people" so how do I remove my family exactly?
*loads shotgun
u separate yourself
I would recommend caffe shops library ect. I do the same thing even go out study outside with a blanket some snacks
these comments show the 2 types of people that exist
step 1 :- get *rid* of any siblings
step 2 :- barricade the room door
step 3 :- get shotgun just in case mommy comes into room
Even 2 hours of studying everyday is fine as long as you are 100% concentrated. If you neglect your studies and just pass time everyday then the amount of study time will increase depending on how many days are left for your exam
Oh no don't remind me😩😩😢
2hours for each subject maybe 😔
@@filipmalik4793 1 hour per subject is just as effective, but transitioning between them after an intense amount of focus can slowly drift our study sessions without a doubt.
Depends on complexity and difficulty of subject and your goals,if your goal is to pass,1 hour may do it for you,but acing which is something that we should be aiming for cannot be achieved with 2 hours on daily bases.
a genshin player studies?
A quick summary for myself :-
There are 2 pillars of focus.
1) Environment :
- Remove yourself from distracting places
- Remove distracting people.
- Stay close to produvtive people
-Remove distracting things.
2) Plan :
- Find out when you can study the best.
-Use pomodoro technique.
- Quickly jot down the thoughts that come to your mind while studying and think about them later.
-Reward yourself at the end of the day.
-Study with correct methods.
Thanks bro
In my opinion I'd say 70% to the environment and 30% for the plan. I already what to do; there are just too much distractions for me to focus.
Thanms
I already failed the first one
@@surve2005 10 hours is practically the whole day. Not even though but that’s a day lay to waste. 6 hours is plenty. Maybe less like 2 hours. If I’d be in college, study that long, I would not get a lot of down time, spend time with people or work, and also going to a gym or sport. Combining a long lasting activity with the 10 hour studying is a long time of work, even with rest while work or gradual decline in productivity. There’s no need to study for even four hours straight all the time. It’s what works for you. The type of person can lose their life studying like a maniac for something you will eventually forget on a college exam. When studying straight with no breaks people neglect cared things like remembering to feed a pet.
the "we can watch next year" literally had me cracking XD

The thing with me is that I would be just fine studying for 4 hours but then I take a 6 week “break” 😩
What I do is I study and study untill I don't feel like it or when I feel like I have to force myself. However I will force myself to always study 3 min more than the week before. I started with only 30min a day now I'm at 1h and 30min and I have been focusing on only studying for the past 2 months my only GOAL through out those months was to study so have a single goal each month bassically
4 hrs bro😥I do 1 hr then im gone....
@@lively2242 it's been two months and I've learned some stuff idk if it will work for you but here are some tips if u can only do 1h
Let's assume you can only study for 1h a session
Then do one session in the morning and one session later on in the day that way you get 2 hours in one day
However it would be better if you could pump up the 1h to 2h that way you could study 4 hours everyday if you studied in 2hr chunks.
BUT REMEMBER TO NOT BURN YOURSELF OUT IF YOU DO YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUSTAIN UR STUDY HABIT SO DON'T OVER DO IT JUST INCREASE YOUR TIME LITTLE BY LITTLE AND ONCE YOU FEEL LIKE IT'S TAKING A TOOL ON YOU GO BACK TO THE TIME THAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH AND STAY THERE AND THEN TRY INCREASE IF YOU CAN AGAIN. BUT DON'T GO CRAZY AND STUDY MORE THAN 8HR A DAY enjoy life as well you got lucky and still live so enjoy it
I've learned some more stuff but I don't want to overwhelm you more than I've already done one last tip I'll give is don't study only one thing everyday. Study many 2 or 3 subjects everyday and have 2 or 2 rest days but YOU CAN NOT skip two days in a row gl with this overwhelming information you've received
is this isn't me

Nothing to add you did a very thorough job of laying out a plan. Wishing you massive success with your studies and career.
thank you so much for watching and for the kind wishes !
I'm a student who comes back from school, does 4 hours of studying with only a single one minute break and I get C's and D's.. I have 3 exams coming up and I cried in my room yesterday over it because I thought it was impossible for me to get a good result, I'm going to try some of these and see how it goes..
all the best wishes man you got this
When are the exams man?
I passed the first one, the second one was pretty bad but I can't really control that because my math teacher is really bad. And I haven't gotten the third one yet. I feel happy with where I am though.
@@frezky2 hey what standard are you in?
What education level are you in? University or what? 4 hours of studying daily is plenty for people in school and college, but you definitely need more for university. If you are lower than university, then you need to rethink your study method, not your study times.
I’m in sixth grade and I want to be a surgeon when I grow up. But I can’t wake up so earlyyyyyy!!!! I need to train myself
When you love what you do, you will wake up at any time to do it :)
You are still a child so you need at least 9 hours of sleep. I mean, if you want to wake up early you need to go to sleep early too.
hey I thought I am the one who is very small to watch their videos
But there are friends with me
Please relax. You are in sixth grade. Believe it or not, it’s normal to need 12 hours of sleep at that age. You can worry about waking up early when you get older.
I only suggest u to make urself less pressured now and save ur energy for highschool and college. I used all of my energy at middle school and now am senior in HS and I messed my highschool years because of lack of motivation to study

This came to my recommendation while I am middle of mock 1 exam I am happy to know what to do thanks alot man. You are a life saivor
Listen to this man, I've been reading a lot of productivity tips and you can get it all in this 10 minute video.
This is precisely the great advice that Daniel Kahneman gives in their best sellers "Thinking Fast and Slow" and James Clear gives in "Atomic Habits" about mastering the environment so you can really go on autopilot. Totally scientifically sound. Great job guys!
Dr. Jon Tam wow thank you so much for dropping those titles we will def have to check them out! Coming from your background, would you say our tips are uptodate?
@@KoiAcademy Yes, basically we have our "fast brain" (i.e. "limbic system", amygdala) which is the part that we use when we're in cruise control (i.e. picking up the phone next to you) and we have the "slow brain" (i.e. the brain that helps us remove these distractions). The key in both books is essentially to shape the environment with your slow logical brain to offer the most resistance to things you don't want (e.g. removing batteries from TV remote) and offering the least resistance to things you want to do (e.g. choosing a gym along the way to work so you'll see it daily and your gym bag is in your trunk instead of the one that's closer but out of the way). So yeah, you guys pretty much hit the nail on the head.
@@DrJonTam wow we are so grateful for your knowledge, thanks for taking the time, and you just gave us a bunch of video ideas haha. let us know how we can help you! gonna check out those books
@@KoiAcademy No problem! Glad to help. Would appreciate a shoutout on the video. Keep up the great work and see you around the YT-verse 👍

Environment:
1. Remove yourself from distracting places
2.remove distracting people
3.surround yourself with productive people(herd mentality- boosting your productivity and motivation to study)
4. Remove distracting things - your PHONE! (Or use app blocks)
5. Right soundtrack- ambient music/ binaural beats/ white noise( avoid lyrics)
Plan:
1. Plan to study at the right time ( morning / night person)
2. Get enough sleep and schedule between work/ study/ rest
3. Plan your studying in blocks (pomodoro technique 25 min chunks is a good start)
4. Focus on one thing at a time( jot things down that cloud ur focus to stop thinking about them)
5. Plan to reward yourself afterwards (food/gym/)
6. Study the right way ( right textbooks/ environments) eliminate inefficient study methods.
You’re welcome :)

Thanks for watching! Very nice, the world needs more good doctors, hope you got to medical school soon!
Nice video guys! The biggest thing for me was always getting my phone far away from me. Getting rid of that temptation made my study blocks much more consistent and effective.
Hey Dr Bodle, really appreciate the comment! Yes definitely! You mentioned study blocks, did you have any specific method for this? We like to use pomodoro haha
@@KoiAcademy No, I actually wasn't as efficient as you guys are in terms of specific strategies. I would simply make sure to block out time on my schedule to go to a library study room and commit to that every day. It would vary between 30 min to 2 hours depending on what I had time for.
@@DrBradBodle oh nice def seems like it worked because you have quite the specialized knowledge! And committing every day even if its just a little bit
You guys make great videos! I’m so excited and prepared for school because of you guys! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support! What are you studying??
You guys are so funny! Love the editing. When I'm filming my courses I use the Pomodoro technique for this as well. Great video guys!
Caria Watt hey thanks for the kind words! We love editing so it’s always nice to hear! Do you use any apps for pomodoro or just a standard timer?
The fact that they have time to make a 10 minute video (or more) and doing stuff at the same time is the most best video ever.
Very good advice on how to study better. Distractions are my downfall.
Sno White-Benson thanks for watching and commenting!
Finally! an actually useful video without all the fancy montages and shit. I have my finals coming up and it's very helpful...
Get out of the comment section I'm sure you are supposed to study rn😉
Also, complete that assignment. I see u!
another pointer for people is to make your notes interesting to look at. while you might think its a hassle and takes too much time, it does actually prompt you to look back at your notes. in fact, you dont even need to do anything extra... you might just take differently colored highlighters and go crazy.
even the practice of taking notes is great, as not only do you note it down in a more convenient place, writing it down ensures that the information is absorbed by your brain, and youre less likely to forget it.
happy studying!!
After I watched this, I have motivation to study. Thank you for sharing this!! You guys is the best!!

Anyways, the video helps a lot and I really liked how you added a humorous skit after each of your points! Thank you so much!
All about the rewards haha, no but seriously I do usually motivate myself that way. Love that you mentioned that!
LOL def about the rewards, what do you usually use as a reward for yourself :D
@3:45 I honestly used to block things on apps or browsers but you can easily just go and unblock it. I found it better to just make it even more difficult and block it on my terminal or by logging into my router and blocking it. GUIs/Applications make things too easy for people. Making it harder for me to access sites or apps was the best decision I made. I would be too lazy to go and unblock it. Hope you guys add this, to one of your videos or the commands and actions some people can take to do so.
You guys are awesome! Using your tips to study for the MCAT 💪🏼
Good luck!
I suggest being mindful of the things that will get you to your goal and grouping them together in levels of importance. In my case, programming. If I want to be a successful programmer, I should strive to see the value in, and get interested in, everything along the path. This will lend to a better understanding and execution of the craft. Every step should not be considered a bridge to the finish but, instead a foundation towards the completion of the goal; the goal being an accumulation of all things that lead to it.
I hope I articulated that well enough.
Thanks a lot, i have wasted a lot of times since the pandemic dawns and my main exam has ended but now i wanted to star all over again,, but everything is dismantling and now i found this on my recommendation accidentally and turns out to be the best accident ever. !!!

Thank you for this video. It's great pleasure to watch this, cause the all information is structured great deal. And I found these tips useful for me. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, happy studying!
Here's a tip I recommend.
Do alot more work, like 8 hours of staying in the library (Even if you dont do any work) then keep the habit for a month after that your body will get used to this difficult task, then you can reduce it significantly and get more effective hours like 4-6 hours. Breaks are necessary that goes without saying
ok that helped meh, thank you THIS IS A MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. This was actually useful
Air wick oda spreyi thanks haha always happy to help!
I love how this video showed up after I was done with exams.
I used to study that long or even longer when I was I grade 9, but when I entered grade 10 it got less to 6 or something eventhough the work load increased. In grades 11 and 12 I studied for 2hrs since I finished most of my work in grade 10 and only had 2 classes in later years. In uni now (medicine), first year and I feel like I am not studying long enough but I can still understand and memorise what I am taking, and recall it when I want. I feel nervous that when we get our first test I wouldn't do that well bcuz I know people here who study for much longer hours.
I used to study like this and motivation is very important
Resume:
Studying concentration is mostly based on:
Environment:
1. Remove yourself from distracting places. (Go to a library, coffee shop...)
2. Remove distracting people.
3. Surround yourself with productive people.
4. Remove distracting things (Put your phone in a different room or use blocking app)
5. Choose the right background music (avoid music with lyrics)
Plan:
1. Plan to study at the right time (take into account if you are a morning person or a night owl and also the time of your exams)
2. Plan to study in blocks (if you can't focus, take a break and continue after 5 mins). You can use the Pomodoro technique
3. Focus on one task at a time.
If you think of other tasks you need to do, just write them down and do them later.
4. Plan to reward yourself for your work. (Food, Netflix, videogames etc.)
5. Plan to study the right way - watch their video about the best scientifically proven study methods for more information.
Good luck guys!!
