Just used super clean 1:1 on my wheels yesterday. First time using it at that ratio and actually wish I went full strength. Removed a TON of embedded brake dust and did zero damage. Makes me realize how much money I used to waste on dedicated wheel and tire cleaners.
I used super clean degreaser 10:1 to strip my previous protection off before a detail and it worked beautifully. It’s really not crazy harsh as long as you dilute it and don’t let it dry
I never fail to add an oz or 2 of SuperClean to my ph neutral soap every time I detail a filthy neglected vehicle for the first wash. it really helps to actually clean. just try to avoid using on waxed cars as it will begin to degrade it if you continue using it. make sure to rinse well and don't let it dry in the sun. detailing doesn't need to be expensive and this is a great way. more soap mfgs need to make a better cleaning soaps that actually clean too . We're going to add more wax or toppers anyway so a little more effective soaps would be nice to help agitate less. great video
YES can we get the secret sauce dilution ratios for foam cannon 💥 #KnowledgeTransfer I have found a few decent self mix for wheel tire that work well in a hand sprayer. What makes your channel SO refreshing is just giving facts back by data and your real time testing so Ty! And bonus, for not being a shill for certain products - let the test and evidence speak for itself.
Dilutions will depend on how dirty the car is. The dirtier usually the more super clean I’ll use - it’s usually around 4oz of super clean in the foam cannon with 1-2oz of soap and the rest water. If the car is really bad I may do an extra oz or two of super clean and keep the soap at 1-2oz. Thanks for the feedback on the videos and channel. I really appreciate it.
@@autodetailingpodcast When you combine the soap and super clean- is that because you are going to contact wash with soap+superclean combo, or is that for the pre-wash and rinse? Thanks
I'm pretty sure you must have a video in which you talk about your pressure water set up, but I can't find the video. What pressure washer are you using, uberflex hose? which tips? I love the amount of flow and how precise is
Have you ever done a test on a dirty car to see if just a pre-rinse with water and contact wash will introduce scratches? And if it does...is it so minimal that the average car owner wouldn't really notice. Just wondering if the steps of a prewash are worth the time and money.
@@autodetailingpodcast Great Video regarding the pre-rinse. But have you actually ever noticed scratches after a pre-rinse and contact? Or is it just speculation? Might make a good Video. Never seen anyone do it
I actually really like their Hybrid Solutions ceramic wash, it's not the most foamy but its slick and smell nice, and adds a nice topper layer to your coated vehicle. I usually do a prewash with a ph neutral shampoo then use Hybrid Solutions as my contact wash
Nice presentation and info. No "homer" bias, but honest acknowledgement of product chemistry. There are only so many combinations of cleaning compounds/ph/lubricity/yadda, yadda and your clearcoat isn't "that" much different than your picknick table or soup bowl coating. We gotta get past the hype, try to understand the chemistry (a bit) and quit being fooled by the vendors. There are around half a dozen compounding companies making ALL of the cleaning/polishing/coating products in the global industry. No one is defying basic physics. Maybe some education before grunt work car cleaning is in order?? Oops, I didn't mean to suggest brain before brawn as a career path.... Stacking boxes still pays for the average monthly tattoo.
I made a huge mistake today. I sprayed Super Clean 5:1 on a clients car today in the sun, and i think i messed up the paint, smh. I grabbed the wrong spray bottle.
@@iprolific9189 Glad you were able to fix the problem. I've used Super Clean on a couple of cars with really neglected paint, and I use it commonly on wheel wells, so I worry about messing up the paint.
I just did and had zero issues. No spotting or staining whatsoever. I was hesitant because of the hate I seen it get from some of these channels but saw it get a lot of praise from other channels so I said screw it and went for it. Worst case scenario I would have to polish my car and I have no problem with that. It worked out phenomenally.

have fun with damaged clear coat later on
I actually dried out my tires when I first started using super clean. Definitely want to dilute it down!
Not recommended to do it often. Just when needed.
@@autodetailingpodcast noted. Thanks for the pro tip.
@@Enthusiast_detailing thanks for the pro tip! Glad I diluted it now lol.

100%
That's what I do since I'm gonna use a topper afterwards anyway.
ive hit my truck with as much as 4:1 ratio in my foam cannon mixed with my regular amount of soap. Highly effective!
Excellent video on Super Clean 👍.
Thanks
I have that foam canon. Mines doesn't foam that good could it be low psi ?
Ya possibly. Or maybe you need to add more of which ever soap you’re using.
I love your Garage! Awesome!
Thank you!

Great info. Suggestion….lower the music volume so we can hear you more clearly. Keep up the good work!

Not a fan of superclean on the body becuase staneing issues especially on older head lights.
Noticed the soap was clinging very hard to the car. Was that the result of the APC being in it?
yes

Not initially but I have longer term noticed. I’ll try and think of how to show it in a vid. It would be interesting to see
yeah.... I agree 👌
It was interesting about TW Ceramic wash and wax. I use it all time time on our suv.🇨🇦👍👍

Shared this in the Detailers Guild group, Great Video!
Thanks Dean!
Hey be careful of inhaling it lol my silly self had a respiratory problem be safe of all chemicals
Can you use that solution on a partially wrapped vehicle?
You def could. I would prob use half as much super clean tho. And I wouldn’t do it every wash.
Healthy and happy new year 2024
Same to you. Thanks!
Very underrated product because it doesn’t have the makeup marketing.

How did it turn out, what did it do to the paint?
@BamaJoeBob I had to go back and do a light sand and buff. Not the whole car just the front end where the bugs be

I would never put that stuff on my car's paint. If you want to strip the wax just use dawn.
