Everything on the farm came to a stop last week when I found out we were getting ALPACAS! I had to build a quick structure using recycled building materials to facilitate their transition period- to acclimate them to our livestock guardian dogs and to give them their own "spot" they can return for meals, shelter and training. Leaving our alpacas in Washington when we moved to Nashville was incredibly tough, but it was what was best for them. Similarly, we are now able to give these alpacas a life that is best for them, and I am so excited to have these little llamapops running around the farm again! Can't wait for all the alpaca fiber, fleece, and yarn spinning to come!

Absolutely, reduce, reuse, recycle, that's the name of the game around here!
When moving large objects, I found it is easier to stand inside it. That will help to stabilize the structure as you walk around. It also helps you grip it as you can span a corner, instead of a side.

Alpacas! So cool, I love the snuggle tooth one! Nice use of the pallets. We've made many a project with pallet wood. Just have to remove those twist shanked nails. Thank You for sharing days. Did one spit at you?!

haha it seems that way sometimes, though with Lucy the rescue pig being the exception, everyone here still has to have a job. These little pacas will be helping us clean up the hillside with the goats, turning grass into fiber, and contributing some black gold to the compost pile ;)

That was great, I watched some of this build on IG, this seemed to go together fairly quickly, and the critters are taking to it, slowly but surely, another great project/build

Thanks for taking the time to watch Shane! I had the Hitachi too- used it on my tiny house build. It's a good one- but never make the mistake I did, putting the nail clip in backwards, haha! I know more about the insides of that tool at this point than the people who built it :P

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it for pallets but there is a cool pallet busting tool that will save you a bunch of time and back ache lol. You’ll just kind of lose the first board 😁. It’s helped me so much and is about $80

Aloha! It's precisely because my hands are precious that I don't wear gloves a lot of the time, the loss of dexterity often leads to accidents. I'm also very cautious about using them with tools that spin for the same reason.
