I felt so bad for her because I understand, he wasn’t hers but she knew in her heart they had an undeniable connection. When someone gets married it’s almost like you lost their old identity. But she did the absolute most ! I felt bad lmao

@@ellepasso6237 He was in love with her for a whole 9 years. She didn't seemed interested in more, saw him as a friend with benefits. It's not like he didn't tried lol. Now that he realized he should move on, for his own good, the energy shifted and she realized that her feelings are deeper (but something tells me it might just be her fear of not having the same access anymore, that she had before, everytime she needed a little fun inbetween her relationships). But the new women showed him love from the get go, no waiting, no games. She was honest with him and gave him, what he was looking for: stability. While every love is different, i believe he knew that even without his, what he thought soulmate, he could be happy.

Fun fact: this is the only movie (to my knowledge at least) where the leading actor (in this case Julia Roberts) is in EVERY SINGLE SCENE, there's not a single scene in this movie without her, did anyone else notice?? Boy, talk about a crazy schedule

The scene where they’re dancing on the boat 🥺 is so precious… him singing the music, like a glimpse of what could’ve been… they’re soulmates but she should’ve told him earlier!! anyway loved this movie

This is a true romantic comedy. There's some amazing 00s romantic comedies, but even though I saw this on vhs, it's still my favourite. The cast was bomb, especially because half the characters were not likeable people
I was sad for her in the end, but I knew that it was for the best. A true best friend will realize that what they want, may not be best for their bestie, and will do whatever it is will let them be happiest. If anyone's in disagreement, you've sadly never had a real best friend. Just a real close one

I don’t like how in the movie they make Cameron Diaz character only 20 years old. So Michael is pretty much marrying a college student who isn’t fully mature yet. They should’ve made her 25 or something.
I always wondered how she got in the karaoke bar and ordered being under 21...
I just couldn’t buy it myself. But at least she had a few good laughs which is one of few saving graces

This showed the whole movie basically.
Except for the scene where Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts are in the ladies restroom of the stadium. Cameron is much more confrontational.
This movie is the best! Still the best romantic comedy in 2019. The acting is stellar especially considering Julia's character is not really a good person

People being moral police in the comment just shut your trap! It's a romcom. It's supposed to be over the top and out there. Everything cannot go smoothly and tbh that's how real life is. It's a wonderful film depicting unrequited love between two best friends. Friendship, affection, chemistry, heartbreak and all that feelings and emotions that make us human are beautifully captured. Yeah Jules was wrong bur she had to have taken a leap of faith. She had to try her luck! Ultimately she backed out. She had her heart broken and she accepted that and moved on. You can move on too! Stop cribbing over fictions!

I'm so glad I watch this movie! The ending is so contended!! It's not sum fiary tale typaa one's you know..where two best friend meet each other again..after years,would fall in love all over again and get married and have a happy ending. Well it wasn't at all. I was scared at sum point that he might leave his fiance, for his best friend lol. One of the best movie i've watched. Wat a realistic one!>>>I must say! ;)

The most underrated romantic comedy from the Sony vault since Sleepless in Seattle, As Good as it Gets & The Wedding Planner
Bottom line: Kim truly loved Michael as much as much as Juliane realized she loved him too.
So I guess the trend of spoiling the whole movie in the trailer isn't that new. Oh well. Still one of the best romantic comedies.
