Great movie. Directed by William Friedkin, the guy who directed The Exorcist and The French Connection. One of the best opening songs to a film ever.
Great reaction guys! The movie is "To live and die in LA" from 1985. Its a pretty intense crime thriller. Love Wang Chung. They had other hits, "Dance hall days", "Everybody have fun tonight. Love Y'all!

The movie was "To Live and Die in LA" of which this song is the title track. Directed by William Friedkin who also directed "The French Connection," "The Exorcist" and one of my all-time intense thrillers "Sorcerer." To Live and...is a great movie involving counterfeiting and the Secret Service. The movie is superb with great acting (William Peterson, Willem Dafoe and John Pankow) and it is worth the time invested to watch it.
I saw Sorcerer almost a month ago from Tubi under a Google Search, it was a crazy film haha. I enjoyed it. Deathstalker was even crazier.

I saw this when it came out and had never seen anything like it and would love to see y'all's reaction to it. I'd never heard music like Wang Chung either and bought their first album and this soundtrack immediately!
One of my all time favorite movies.
"Everybody Have Fun Tonight" which was released in late 1986 is Wang Chung's biggest hit. I would recommend listening to this and watching the
video. My favorite from them is a song that is not played much at all: "Let's Go" which was released in early 1987. The video is hilarious and quite enjoyable. You guys should watch "To Live And Die In LA" (1985) on your movie channel. Another crime/heist movie that was released in 1995 which you need to watch is the Al Pacino/Robert DeNiro classic "Heat". You would definitely enjoy this movie and I know BJ would for sure. Pacino and DeNiro bring some of their best work here.

The movie IS "To Live and Die In L A."....great mid 80's thriller. One of the great car chase sequences followed by a HUUUGE plot twist that gives the film the ultimate grit. You guys will 💜 it....or your money back. Ha !
This movie is nostalgic, intense, graphic… it’s in my top 10 of all time… And that car chase scene!
One of the best films of the 1980's. Quite amazing that William Petersen's film career never took off after this & Manhunter the next year, he was the lead character in CSI 15 years later.
Will was also part of the Remains Theater ensemble in Chicago which he co-founded. Laurie Metcalf from Roseanne was also in it but sadly it only lasted a few years before they shut it down. I met Will at their closing party and he was very appreciative of my compliments and me telling him I admired his work. Nice guy.

4:51, Yeah, B,J, u WANT to see this film--I've got the DVD..It's highly critically acclaimed , temse and action-packed crime noir, shot entirely in L.A...Wilhelm Dafoe's a slcik high-tech counterfeiter , Willaim H.Peterson is the Fedreal agent out to catch him at any cost.. (the scene where it shows him making the phoney $$ had a real-life pro coach 'em thru it, So good the FBI actually asked them to delete it, but the director said, no way!)

Great song to review! And yes, very interesting movie - BJ was right, it is very action-packed but if you do see it (or, better yet, review it!), be advised that it’s very dark and it’s honestly hard to know who to root for, since the good guys are just as shady and as bad as the bad guys lol

The movie is ..To Live and Die In LA... yeah, A young Willem Defoe, One other guy is I think from the very first CSI.

Great song and a great movie, one of the best of the 80s that’s only starting to be rediscovered.
People are not mentioning that this was one of Willem Dafoe’s early films and first turn as the villain, which he played brilliantly.

To make the movie, they had actor Willem Dafoe really learn how to counterfeit money. They used the type of presses, plates, and ink, that real counterfeiters used.
That's one way to make sure they turn a profit.

An 1985 GEM !! Few probably mentioned it and by now you probably seen it but i think the movie has one of the best car chases in movie history. It belongs in a top 3 on the 3rd spot in my opinion with the French Connection on nr 1 followed by the Bullit chase.
Also what i got out of the movie is that almost all characters are ill-motivated except for Chance's (main character) new partner who seems to have a moral compass.
In that regard it's a movie that displays a serious flaw in modern society.
Even the main character goes totally rogue and is supposed to set the example as a cop.
And forget about the music score. It SCREAMS 80s.

Morgan James and Haley Reinhardt are internet singing stars but deserve more. Big talents. Haley should have won American Idol a few years back came in third was a robbery. Check out her cover of Creep with PM jukebox. He’s not as powerful as Morgan more cutsie and a stylist. But her Creep is one of best internet performances I ve ever seen.
Love this song-have since way back in the 80s when it came out. Wish I could find some reaction (to the movie) videos on YT, it's a very engrossing film...I think y'all might dig it :)

Wang Chung hadn't been around long when they were approached to do the sountrack, and they were pretty nervous and apprehensive - I think they even suggested that another band do it(!), but whomever it was that approached them wanted them to do it.
And, they nailed it!!! They composed and performed all the music for the film, and it's as great as the film itself. There's 8 or 10 songs: have have vocals, the other half are instrumental.

Might want to check out the TV series Maimi Vice. Almost every episode had a music video embedded in the show. It's a cop show about two undercover drug dealers. Lots of famous actors appeared early in their careers, like Bruce Willis & Julia Roberts. Also, musicians were on like Phil Collins, Little Richard, Glen Fry, Frank Zappa, etc.....
This entire a!bum is essentially the Soundtrack to the movie of the same name, and the clips are from that movie.
The clips of making counterfeit money some say were some of the most accurate portrayals of the process at that time. In fact, some of the prop money from the movie was stolen by the Propmaster's son who used some of it and got in trouble.
Have you reacted to the band Skidrow? If not, try to react to their songs, "I remember you" "18 and Life" and "Wasted Time"
Trivia: The director, William Friedkin, had one request of Wang Chung, to please, PLEASE, not name the song the same title as the movie, but they did anyway and it REALLY pissed him off.
If you play GTA V there are several references to Live and Die in LA I noticed this after I started playing it again but you got to look closely. And I wish it was on the GTA V soundtrack

Now that u know the movie name, it would be a great reaction. The movie is quite good and great 80s vibe. It has the CSI guy before he became really well know and the great actor Willem Defoe. Plus it's known for having one of the greatest car chases in movie history. You'll like its action.
