The soundtrack to "To Live and Die in LA" featuring Wang Chung has always been a favorite. The title track was a minor hit but the rest of it is just amazing. It would make a great workout album. You should watch the movie. The mid 80s movies about LA were really gritty. Even the comedies like "Beverly Hills Cop" we're about a gritty LA. Even a lot of the music was gritty.
Yes, that soundtrack album is a criminally underrated effort. I still have it in my iPhone. It’s my go-to for airplane travel when I need some rest, but it’s too uncomfortable to actually sleep. I can easily get lost in that soundscape and zone out for 45 minutes. My favorite song on “To Live and Die in L.A.” is “Wait,” which was also on their album “Points on a Curve.”
One of the most fun songs to come out of the '80s -- right at the height of MTV's popularity, back when MTV was a network of all music videos, all the time. Honestly, I don't know which one I like more -- the song, or the music video. Both are Wang Chung-a-licious.

The voice of the lead singer reminds me that you haven't really done much Sting yet (though you have done the Police). He has so many, it's hard to choose one to suggest. 'If you Love Someone, Set Them Free' is a great one, but a personal favorite is the moody 'Moon Over Bourbon Street.'
I saw them live in 1987. They were performing in front of Cinderella's Castle in Disney World. Grad Night 87. Best time ever. Wang Chung, Ready for the World, Glass Tiger, Nancy Martinez. If I could relive a moment in time, it would be that night.
The band Wang Chung, when asked what it means to "Wang Chung tonight" said "It means whatever you want it to mean." to just enjoy yourself. Do whatever kind of dance you like (they listed a bunch of dances, some of which were obscure just to drive home it's whatever you want).
“Dance Hall Days” is their other big hit. It’s a little more mellow but still has a cool grove and is a lot of fun!

The way we danced can be seen on the live version of this song. The instruments are playing poly rhythmically. Takking Heads were masters of this.
I really you two appreciating the music i grew up listening to in the 80s. And the way you guys are moving to the music. IT'S GREAT GOD BLESS YOU GUYS. REAL MUSIC LISTENERS
I love it when people branch out into every genre of music..I couldn't imagine pigeon holing myself into only one.
The band Wang Chung, when asked what it means to "Wang Chung tonight" said "It means whatever you want it to mean." to just enjoy yourself. Do whatever kind of dance you like (they listed a bunch of dances, some of which were obscure just to drive home it's whatever you want).
Another song/band to check out from the 80's is "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" by The Human League.
Yeah, Everybody Wang Chung Tonight...Great fun song!!!
This is such a wacky, fun song and I've always loved it. Loved dancing to it back in the day!
Everybody had fun. Everybody wanged, everybody chunged 😀
