What are the bolt sizes holding the egr valve in? I need to order some because one is missing and one is stuck and I may have to break it. I'm referring to the studs, where the nut required a 10mm bolt.
Not sure what the length and thread pitch is for those fasteners. What have you tried to get the stuck bolt removed? I’ve had good success with penetrating oil and/or ez outs.
@@daddydiysolutions I've used penetrating oil with no success, but I'm scared to use a flame cuz I smell gasoline, so I'm thinking I'm gonna have to find time to remove everything from the truck and do it at a safe distance, but I was also looking into induction heater coils, (never heard of em but I was looking up how to heat up bolts without flame). I'm definitely missing the bolt closer to the fire wall though so I think that may be attributing to a vacuum leak I have had for almost a year. I already replaced my hoses and vacuum reservoir behind my battery. (I have 04 expedition).

@@iwishtobetexan6060 yep, I'd definitely try to avoid an open flame in this area of the engine. If you could get the bolts out, you could re-tap the holes to your desired thread pitch. Since your bolt is seized and not stripped, ez outs probably won't help much. Here's what I'm referring to by "ez-outs": amzn.to/4aLO7Gi amzn.to/4b6okbh
You did an outstanding job of explaining & detailing the replacement. 🎉
Thanks! My pleasure. Appreciate you!
Appreciate the video, exactly what I needed.
My pleasure!
A 1” 1/16 wrench will also work
Also, as a plumber "anti-sieze" means Teflon (paste or tape). What product are you using for this purpose?
It’s a paste: amzn.to/40iTMAR.

@@daddydiysolutions never heard of ez out. Is that a penetrating fluid?
