After the Seattle Symphony/Mad Season portion of the show at the Benaroya Hall- Temple of the Dog reunited (Mike McCready/Jeff Ament/Matt Cameron/Chris Cornell ) and played "Call Me a Dog" and "Reach Down". After this a special tribute to Layne Staley was done with Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees/Walking Papers), Sean Kinney (Alice in Chains), Duff McKagan (GNR/Walking Papers) & Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam/Soundgarden) with a moving version of Mad Season's song "All Alone".

I appologize for my asthma attack and half ass camera work in this, it was very emotional for me and we were not suppose to be taking video but I risked getting kicked out so that I could share because I know this music means a lot to alot of people who could not be there.

Layne was a genius vocalist and even his angriest melodies are still so beautiful. The Mad Season record really captures the infinite soul he had when he sang.

LedZ were brilliant beyond their years. Greatest band of the '70's. Never forget Knebworth. These musicians are obviously of a different genre, yet just as brilliant.

I don't know what chode would thumbs down this, but everyone's performance was donated time for charity and I filmed it for myself mainly, I could have hoarded it like a lot of Seattle photographers do, I see it all the time, so if you don't have anything nice to say, go listen to some shitty music on someone else's channel!

Thank you and just so you know-from my view-I saw NO professional filming being done and I'm at shows at small and large venues 3 times a week-so this may be all there is-at some previous shows of this size and importance I have for instance, noticed go-pro cams all over Barrett's drums, etc. I looked all over and I saw nothing so hopefully this little gem along with the others that snuck video in will be appreciated! I sure was thinking I'd see a crew there and was really surprised there was not-since I was misinforned that " Union " photographers would be there?

Layne's lyrics came from the depth of soul. Natural ability with an ear for music. There are people who can listen to a particular instrument, play it without reading music. We fool around with it, in the case of myself piano & flute, but are also taught to read music. Then there are those who play reading the notes but they don't have an ear for it.

I gotta say this is Awesome and I have been so fortunate to have grown up in Gig Harbor and Tacoma, WA ( almost 50 now) with this exceptional music and these top notch musicians. I gotta give a MAJOR Shoutout to KIM VIRANT!!!!! So AMAIZING KIM! Miss the Lazy Susan Days at the Croc and RCKNDY!!!!! Let's talk for a bit about how Reach Down is maybe the best song to come out of Seattle and the grunge era in general.
To me, its such an "outdoor festival" song. I love listening to it outside at the lake with a beer in my hand.

This concert is tied for first, as the greatest concert I've ever attended. Prince on his Purple Rain tour being the other. It was a magical and emotional night. Chris was at his best.
