Best to keep a single one in a 2ft aquarium and to move to 3 ft as it it grows. We have seen even with enough hiding spaces they fight, even sometimes to death
Fantastic video! Please! Make a video about their habitat! Been researching about their biotope for years, but the information is really not there. I'm waiting with excitement back here, in Sweden!
Hello, we made the vide of their habitat. It took us some time though. Here it is ua-cam.com/video/QbpHMTYHO_4/v-deo.html. Hope you like it :) do give us your feeback
When u say, cold water, do u actually mean replacing a heater with a chiller, or just no heater tanks? Also, will the typical idea of fully played tanks, mix of multiple stem pants, adding fertz for reds and all, for with channa varieties?? Or is it too much ??
You should have a sparsely planted aquarium. See in their habitat ( we have a video on that also) there are frankly no plants. Regarding temperature it's best to keep them at 22 degree centigrade - now that can either be achieved with an AC or a Chiller
@@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 thanks for the info, I was actually mislead that this variety can live in my tank. Tell me can dwarfs like andrao and bleheri live in the type of tanks that I mentioned above or is it too much as well..? thnx
It is best to consult the IUCN website to understand if a fish is legal or illegal to keep. You can always catch a channa and keep in your aquarium after checking it's legal status but then you must keep in mind that most channa species are fish eaters and are likely to go after other fish in your aquarium :)
Good question. Honestly the wild growth of valisneria did not let the algae to grow much. Rest we did manually. You obviously have understood that it is not possible to keep normal algae eaters with these fish. So we must have fast growing plants and large filtration capacity filters with good biological media
Thanks I saw this type of fish first time in an aquarium. It's a good experience. I read the comments. One of the comment it is written it is banned it keep. Is it true?
Beautiful fish and unique experience
Thanks for your encouraging comments

Sir nice one
Thank you :)
Can we use root tabs with sand for vallisneria?? Last time my channa destroyed the scape😂
Yes you can absolutely use. But the waste generated by these fish are more than enough for valisneria :)
Sir this fish are only found in cold stream river. Are they available at aquarium shop or not
Yes they are available but difficult to find
No they are difficult to find as most shops in India do not have the facility to keep them
Nice one. How do you plan to remove Algae?

Sir isn't this fish illegal to keep?
If they are legal to eat then why don't they are legal to keep.

I read the comments. One of the comment it is written it is banned it keep. Is it true?
Yes in some areas it is illegal to keep, particularly in bengal people eat it so technically it is legal in bengal
I have kept this fish before when there is no food they will resort to cannibalism
Yes you are right
