As we are considering this tent for our upcoming Norway trip, we are interested in hearing your thoughts on the Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1! Is it a tent you would consider or do you think there are better alternatives?
I have a hilleberg Nammatj 2 with the snow flaps. It's bomb proof especially if used with storm pegs. Mine was a used one but in great condition, worth checking the reviews on YT.
I have the keb endurance two person it’s four season with ten mil poles it’s bomb proof not light but I like the space and the two doors . The keb endurance range from fajlraven are their strongest range good luck in Norway can’t wait for the video
@@leewoolaghan916 looks like an absolute palace and a bomb proof one at that. Looking at the specs and given the size, the weight isn’t unreasonable by any stretch, especially if you are looking to split it and share with someone. Thanks for the advice 👍 All the best - BR
Recognised that area immediately, was there last year doing ML training. Did night nav up to Moel summit and back. At the time I didn't notice the camping spot you found but I will remember it !! Cheers, great vid.
Cracking area with some great history and scenery. Thats some going! Definitely get yourself back there and give it a rumble 👌Thanks for watching and all the best - BR
Wow. What a cracking location mate. I need to try and hunt that down. The Abisko Lite 1 looks fab. I've seen quite a few videos from Bushman and Blue where it holds up to some pretty tasty conditions. I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with it. Great vid. 👍
Yeah it’s a cracking spot mate, have to get yourself down to it! You are right in the Abisko, plenty of vids like you said where it’s taking an absolute beating. Cheers and all the best - BR
Great video lads, I have the Fjallraven Abisko Lite 1 and at Sixty Years of age, I have no issue getting in and out of it and find it quite comfortable! When the snow on it, so easy to reach to any side and knock the snow of from any side! In winter spend plus 12 hours in it no problem! Zero condensation if mild wind and vents open!
Thanks for the feedback it’s really appreciated. Some great first hand experience there, especially regarding liveability during the long winter nights as well as the condensation/venting options. All the best - BR
All depends on the season and what time of the week you are arriving. Plenty of options however on google and Apple Maps to help plot out parking. All the best - BR
Nice videos, guys, looks like a really nice adventure! About the Abisko Lite 1; did you take a look at the Robens Starlight? The Starlight 1 is really small, but I have the Starlight 2 and I'm really happy with it (made a few cheap mods). It's a lot heavier than the Abisko Lite 1 (it weighs 2.5 kg), but also significantly cheaper and quite a lot roomier - and it's tested by Robens to withstand ~100 mph winds!
Thanks for the kind words and yeah we really enjoyed this one. Thanks for the suggestion, although we do already have the Robens Starlight 1 and found it abit small like you said. The 2 does look great size wise, but as you noted the weight does start to creep up and we would probably want a true 4 season tent at that weight. But we will definitely take a look into this further and look out for a few reviews online to see if it’s a potential goer. Thanks again for the suggestion 👌 all the best - BR
@@borderraiders Yes I agree with you, when the weight goes up like that, the performance of it really has to be worth it! 😅 But yeah look it up, could be a good "joker" alternative in the mix! And of course, no problem at all, have a good one!🖖
Great content, I find your honesty refreshing, you aren’t starstruck like some reviewers 😮 I have used Trangia for decades now, but I have just bought a gas burner, it will be interesting to see if I prefer it. The noise from the burner may spoil the dawn and dusk?
Glad to hear you found value on the video 👍 Trangia are a tried and tested bit of kit and many people swear by them. By chance we have always tended to use gas stoves. Wouldn’t really worry about the stove spoiling your tranquility, as they boil water within 2 minutes, it will be off as quick as it goes on. All the best - BR
Hi mate, apologies for the delay. Unfortunately, we can’t recall where as it was a while back now. Worth checking the actual fjallraven site as they tend to have them in, but you tend to pay a little bit extra direct. All the best - BR

Thanks for the recommendation, we know of this tent but can’t say we’ve considered it, we will definitely look into this. Thanks again 👍

Another great video, keep up the great content. Looked like a fantastic camp 👍
Cheers Stuart, your feedback is valued as always and yeah we really enjoyed this camp, great for a more accessible and social one.
A pitch with a difference. Great drone footage. Nice one 👍
Cheers Garry and yeah it was definitely something abit different! All the best - BR

Have the Abisko Lite 1 with double poles and the mesh inner.. Covers everything.. Great little tent
It’s a cracking tent! Can imagine it to be rock solid when double poled and able to stand up to most conditions
Great video. Where would you recommend parking?
