You know, when you hear this, one begins to realize just how much talent those Beach boys really had, and Brian Wilson's songwriting skills
I'm amazed at the sound engineers that balance 7 vocal mics with 10 singers, a string quartet, two guitars, bass, marimba, xylophone, two keyboards, a horn section, two percussionists, and accordion, and make it all sound good. REAL HEROES
Yes, almost as good as Brian Wilson by himself.
I saw Brian Wilson & his band perform it nigh on 20yrs ago, never had this many singers tho & Brian performs it with commensurate ease. He'd be proud of this lot & good vibrations abound.
Don't forget the drawbar organ.
Generally everyone in the Brian Wilson band plays multiple instruments, as well as sings.
Don't forget the theramin!
It would take a grand total of 17 sessions totaling 90 hours at four different studios for the Beach Boys to complete the recording, using 70 hours of tape, working from April through September. These guys have made a great job of this doing it live in one take.Brilliant.
There is a difference between compose and perform. Please read your history. Lastly when the original beach boys performed synthesizers weren’t even invented. For example, I don’t see anyone play the chromatic harmonica and where’s the Tannerman?
When you’re reproducing something someone else created it will always be quicker and simpler.
With more guys and instruments. Duh and 70 years better audio etc....................
@@harveykaye2550 It's still a good performance Harvey. Hope your keeping well.
Damn !!! I just discovered these guys less than an hour ago and Im totally blown away. Their rendition of Sloop John B is incredible . This is the best "imitation" of the BB"s ever !!!
And, they’re meticulous--hit every note, every instrument no matter how subtle.
Same here. Just found this and Sloop John. Never thought anybody could do this live. Incredible! Would love to see the Fendertones. Inspiring.
These Guys are absolutely sensational - I’d love to see them in concert❤️❤️❤️🐝👏👏👏🌈🌈⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍🐝❤️👏🍯👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Totally agree! I would travel anywhere they were performing just to see them perform. GREAT COVER BAND! Really they are better than the original group that did this.
So would I 👏👏👏👏👏
@@michaelmelton1704 no 😍but they’re fantastic also❤
How anyone can thumbs down this. They’re brilliant
How could 81,000,000 people vote for the Bifoon in Chief?
The only group I've ever heard do the Beach Boys justice.
Thanks for keeping Beach Boys music alive.
Love it that the young ones are stepping up to the plate!
I just discovered the Fendertones. I hope they get back together to replay their amazing songs from the 60's. The young Beach Boys.
I've heard a lot of groups trying to sing this song. A very difficult song by the BB's to cover. In my mind, only the Beach Boys could do this song justice since they were the originator of the song but this version is great. My hats off to The Fendertones. You pulled it off.
James Anderson, I would say shear dedication and devotion to recreating good music, Surly they cannot make any profit from these live shows due to the large number of people on the stage. I remember when this came out I couldn’t stop playing it on the juke box in my local coffee bar.
@@peternewman7353 This show was a charity show for funraising purposes. Nobody get paid anything. And they also don't tour either. They just make these videos for fun. It's a fun hobby for them.
I think they do it better just because of the greater number of singers doing harmony
James Anderson 💯Rty
It is great, but you can hear that the vocals are just not as smooth as the BBs. Really close, but these guys are great and it makes me appreciate the BS even more. All good.
Words cannot express how much I like the Beach Boys and the superb covers the Fendertones have done. And LIVE!
Jesus...this is hands down the best cover I’ve ever heard and it’s fucking LIVE!!!!
Out side the Beach Boys I don't know when or where you would hear better. Crushed it....
Shout out to Mr. Herder. I cannot begin to imagine what you went through to get this and all the Fendertones videos performed and produced. Thank You for your work. Thanks to all the performers and support crew as well.
they don't do covers they do wonderful recreations
This is beyond a cover tune, this is a career!
Been a Beach Boys fan all my life...these guys are awesome.
You just said it for me Sir 👍
I have chills so bad my skin is crawling. Damn good!!
This is a difficult song to cover, EXCELLENT!!!
amazing the number of people it took to reproduce that sound...well done...the crowd loved it.
Willie Finn For their albums, the Wrecking Crew (a legendary group of studio musicians who did most of Phil Spector's Wall of Sound background work)assisted to get that full sound.
Wow,they did this in 2004? Hard to believe it's 15 years later & I'm just discovering these awesome guys! Love your renditions!!!♡
I'm listening to this in 2013!!! I'm a huge BB's fan, have been since I heard them back in the mid '60's, and I've never heard anyone else do such great cover versions of their music.🙂🙂
19 years here. Just today I heard them. I'm ashamed of my ignorance! Blown away by this band.
Great cover band on Beach Boys...makes you realize what a genius Brian
is and how what sounds so simple is quite complex requiring many
musicians and voices to reproduce. All your covers are faithfull to the
originals. The best on youtube.....Great job Fendertones.Excellent!!!!
Just became aware of the fendertones. Amazing, and it's all done live without overdubs. And no auto-tune, thank God!
I have to tell you guys, not only are you all amazing but I think you all are also so awesome to keep the music of the beach boys alive and believe me I know it's not easy to do what you guys are doing! That is amazing talent right there. I am stoked!!!! You guys are a fucking blessing! Swear it! Thanks for all your heard work, can't wait to see you guys in concert someday, I want tickets for met life stadium in New Jersey! LOVE you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best BB’s cover, well done, Fendertones...
Three and a half minutes of pop perfection! It doesn’t get any better than this!
These guys are bloody amazing.
Wow, what a fantastic show THAT must have been ! Perfect closing song !
I think that there is a group of perpetually angry people who live only to dislike everything, especially anything on you tube.
Amazing! the best Beach Boys cover band on the planet!
I truly thought this song was one of the few that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do a faithful cover. This is an amazing, nuanced, and truly spectacular cover. I hope you win the WC covers contest!!!
Bought this record in ' 66 when it made No. 1 in the UK, another fabulous cover from these extremely talented guys !
These guys are over the top top amazing. 5 stars.
They are amazing...the craft of music is set in practice, perfection, and passion...they nailed it! Peace to the Fendertones! Do more!!!
Best cover of this song I've heard yet!
Beach boys were great live especially at knebworth
Goosebumps!! I cant believe it was live!!!
So good to hear from them all good again hear from them life goes so fast
Fantastic as always! Fendertones please come to Kansas city❤❤❤❤
NAILED IT !
14 people don't appreciate how good these guys are. I'm a fan.
Totally brilliant and pays a wonderful homage to Brian Wilson and his performing family and friends.
Good job. The falsettos at the end are a tough assignment. Whoever sang the part can take the vise grips off the gonads now!
Falsetto is tricky and hard to sing. Look for an interesting bit on an episode of Daryl Hall's show from his house. Pat Monahan does the run thru w/o the falsetto because it's difficult. Thought that was interesting.
Matt Jardine makes it look easy in the band touring with Brian Wilson and his father Al. Fantastic singer. Does all the parts as need be as well.
Awesome group! Joe, New Portland, Maine
No words are enough to describe how awesome they are... ! :)
This shows just what a genius Brian was! He did it all in the studio!
Hands down the best version I have ever heard LIVE
These guys are awesome
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The detail is incredible, right down to the mic stands.Great job.
Wow, what a great performance!
these guys are incredible
Watching them sing brings back memories of how the Beach Boys used to like singing together
Love this song and this group!
The Fendertones are a revelation of just how many multi track layers the Beach Boys had to perform and Brian Wilson had to arrange in order to produce their music on record. Here you can see it all at the same time live.
This sends chills up my spine. Nice job boys!
Outstanding
Real music from real people...how refreshing!
Just as I remembered those days!!
Yes truly amazing 😁🥰
Outstanding cover ! Yes, Carl Wilson , GOD bless his soul , would be proud , I like the idea of using the jaguar Carl played as well. Great stuff, Fendertones !
Mike
"Mike". Is your last name love.
If Brian Wilson is reading this, please write a song for these guys to record. They tribute you so well, that maybe you can tribute them!
Brian is too high on cocaine to even be able to read this.
Okay, I will.
Why not such an ACE thought
Renee Pena , What a horrid comment. Brian Wilson is one of the best composers of any time. Most extremely successful people of that time had their battle with demons, who are you to judge?
@@hansdoward RIGHT ON!! Nicely said.
I don't think these guys are professional, that being that they don't work together all the time .Just a bunch of people having a good time and doing it so well . It never ceases to amaze me the great talent that regular people can possess .
+Sands of time wtf "regular people", there arent gods amog us, we're all the same dood!
Scorfanazzo Maybe I should had said average people Which they are , put their pants on one leg at a time like everyone.. Gods no, talented people yes ! Is that better Dude !
Scorfanazzo Go FUCK yourself.
Sands of ti
I read (I think on their Facebook) that they don't put out commercial recordings. Apparently they get together when the mood strikes and make video recordings. That's kinda neato.

He is excellent!
A musical genius! ❤
As a Beatles fan, here in Britain, I heard Good Vibrations in 1966. It was the greatest song of the 60s & years later Britain voted it thus. Beating the Beatles takes some doing but you darn done it.
why hasn't these talented people not been put onto a CD
Oh pleeeeeease! Give credit where it is due. They deserve no negative comments. They are a bunch of guys having fun, not trying to win any awards, just playing for the fun of it.
And they are outstanding, even the beach boys could not make this sound live.
they should record a CD with those songs because they are so AWESOME.
You guys are absolutely incredible!
Can't get enough of this !!! thanx Edwin .... Been too long.... and my cello is anxious to get played once more !!!! How about a Super Fendertones Tour in FRANCE ?????? Everyone can stay at my place !!!!!!!! and let's play at Chambord or something !!!!
Lead singers side burns are ROCKING IT!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Good good good Good Vibrations. 👍🏻❤️☮️👍🏻
Thank you for giving us wonderful memories and DAMN yall are AWESOME! 👍🏻
And THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE SIR!!! ❤️
Wonderful - Takes me back to sunny California days and muscle cars - great job guys.
So good. So, so good. So, so, f-ing good. Bravo!
Besides the excellent job done by the boys--how awesome is this stage? Complete with the diner look and Coke cooler---Well done boys--please regroup and come back in 2023
Outstanding 😂❤
Such an amazing song
Wow! What a rendition....Thanks Guys.....Super job once again.
So this is who the beach boys learned from! Amazing stuff guys!
Such great voices. The two leads are amazing. And very good stage presence too.
Man I took them for granted
I love them.... ☺♥♥♥
I have just came across these guys they are brilliant first time I have heard their music in scotland
Wow! Amazing!
That lead vocalist. !!❤
Another awesome cover!
FINALLY a new Fendertones video!
Awesome job, as usual!
Wow!!!! The talent is insane!! Absolutely love it!!
What a great rendition this is! Just fantastic! The amount of work they put into this is incredible!
2 people didn't like this wow ...... What is there not to like? This is the best ever beach boys tribute act out there, i've heard a few cover bands but they don't come anywhere near as good as these guys 10/10
Stevo 1971..........Maybe they didn't care for the bass singer? He doesn't sound so great, especially when he comes in at 0:26 and in other spots. 7-22-17
If you mean the slight drop-off at the end of the word Egbert...He's probably been told to do that to allow other voices to come through. Both ends of the singing voice spectrum are normally stronger than the others in the middle.
No, that's not what I mean. When bass singer in dark shirt comes in at 0:26, he sounds a bit off-key to start, and seems to be bellowing, just a tad. Could be sharper; but he's not overpowering other voices. If you listen closely, you should be able to hear what I mean. They're real good--but I'm tough; and Brian wouldn't let that slide too often !! 8-7-17
Unlike Sloop John B, for example (where they nailed it), voices here aren't that great and the bass singer definitely lowers the overall quality a lot. Besides, there are a few voices out of tune here and there (way more out of tune than in the original)
The drum pattern is completely wrong.
I get Good Vibrations every time I hear these beautiful voices n musicy❤🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏😊
Wow, these guys nail it. Pretty awesome.
That.... was incredible!!! Stunning!
Awesome!!! I love these guys, they are excellent!!🎶🎸🎹
oh my God. Super good.
Brian once said his music was meant to sung by young people, not old men. Now I know what he meant.
The degree of difficulty in pulling this off live is... impressive. Remember, the BB's used overdubs and the famed Wrecking Crew backing them up.
Very well done. I miss the Fendertones.
Thank you for what you do. You guys are totally awesome. Talk about bringing some joy and happiness into my life.
Wow! These Guys Are Just As Good As The Beach Boys Themselves! I Love 'Em!
Soooooooo stunning. Thank you for the work you've put in - and your amazing talent Fendertones
Outstanding!
This Excellent !!! TY !!
Utterly superb. Listen to them every day. Love to see all the separate parts (vocal and instrumental) blend together. You appreciate even more the complexity of Brian’s music.
Agreed, and I understand more of the lyrics of the song, having heard this version too! 😉👍
It is a real Theramin. Ours was built by our keyboard player and his brother. It was as thoroughly researched as possible, and is as close to the original, built by Bob Whitsell for Paul Tanner, as they could make it. Working from photos of Paul Tanner with his, and gathering other information from people involved in building the first ones, they tried to duplicate the size and construction of the original. The only thing they couldn't find were the actual components used in the pulley system.
So glad I found your amazing music !!!¡
This was an awesome song when it came out in the Sixties. I didn’t think it was possible to improve it, but these guys did it. And without the Wrecking Crew studio musicians. I am impressed.
