The Fendertones perform God Only Knows for a charity event.

Recorded on October 16, 2004
Audio: 40 tracks using ProTools on a Mac G5
Mixed using ProTools on a Mac G5
Video: Recorded using 3 DVCams and 1 handicam.
The video was edited using Final Cut Pro.
The final video was assembled using Final Cut, Soundtrack Pro and Logic.
I don't care how many people it takes to recreate the sound of the Beach Boys live or in the studio. The point is to keep this timeless music alive. Bravo.

This wonderful vocalist Chad Odhner was invited to sing this onstage with Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and band - a few years back in California.
Did he accept? Would love to see the video if it happened.
@@reneep9972 He did, and sang several songs with them. In Indio, California. I've found a picture of Chad onstage with them but no video.

Probably the most beautiful love song ever written
Chad Odhner, this excellent singer, was invited to guest onstage with Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and band at a concert in California a few years ago! So his talent has been recognized by his musical hero.
10 years had passed away before my eyes, but I still cry with this rendition. Thanks boys for keeping the almost unnatural touch to Beach Boys music. All love from Brazil.

I have been a massive fan of this song since it came out in the 60s. Ignore the tossers who criticize it. This is a fabulous piece of work on a difficult song. Well done, lads!

I'm a HUGE Beach Boys fan and this is simply amazing. Brian would be SO proud of this, as would Carl. Even the second voice in the refrain sounds like Bruce J! And the kid in the black shirt looks like a young Dennis. A marvelous tribute to America's greatest band....
I bought many of the Beach Boys original records. I'm 71 now, I hear this and nostalgically think back to the beautiful ladies I knew then. Thank You.
I can remember when in 68 my older brothers came home with new 45s and then got out the old zenith portable record player ,took it outside on the front lawn and then we'd all listen and dance. I miss being young Robert.
Robert Edwards - My father died in 1964. I turn 69 this month, and for our family there wasn't much during this time period to be happy about. New city, schools, fighting all the time. It was hard.
The Beaches and Monkees music playing over my brother and my (shared) 7-transistor radio was usually able to brighten things back then. Good music. Good... vibrations.

Brian Wilson was such a perfectionist, which is what probably drove him over the edge. Thankfully he made it back. I'm sure he would love this group.

Man I am a long time fan of Brian Wilson and his music and I am blown away. These guys are FANTASTIC! I would travel large distances to see this live since I don't think you get this kind of faithful rendition to the original even from the Beach Boys themselves. I will keep an eye on the facebook page and hope for an upcoming concert.

Holy Cow!!! The wrecking Crew part two! Must be nice having 20+ Musicians and Vocalist to play this live. What I wouldn't do to be in your place singing front man or even backup to this song. My hats off to the FenderTones on this one. Fantastic!!!

Any musician knows how difficult it is to reproduce accurately a song as complex as "God Only Knows" , let alone performing it LIVE!!!. Kudos to these guys for nailing it!

The Beach Boys have rightfully taken their place amongst the GREATEST rock & roll bands of all time... Yet, I still think they're underrated. That's how GREAT they were/are.

This is probably the hardest Beach Boy song to do... because of its intricate production and many parts. I would shiver at the thought of trying to cover this... because its hard to do... and because everyone on the planet has heard it many times. Excellent effort.

I have to say this again: of the many, many covers I've heard of what many say is the greatest song ever recorded, this version by The Fendertones is absolutely a masterpiece, and the vocal is magnificent. No one ever did it like Carl, but this is very, very good, and these guys should take real pride in how they pulled this off. Wolfsky9

He's not nervous. Just focused. He does a lot of the voice charting with Tony, so I'd guess he's doing some extra listening while he sings.

As a Beach Boy lover from way back I am amazed at how The Fendertones so closely imitated the BB's in every detail ! Absolutely fabulous. Did they ever tour? Are they still around? A lot of work was put into all this---I'll bet they had fun doing it and were so gratified to be able to sound so close to my all time favorite band.
