- Dave Matthews again joined Thomas D. Mangelsen and Dr. Jane Goodall this March for their annual trip to Nebraska to witness the sandhill crane migration. After viewing the cranes leave their river roost early in the morning, Dave pulled out his guitar and treated Jane and Tom to a private concert at the cabin. Watch as Dave Matthews performs "Loving Wings".

Here I am again in 2023. I love this.
Im going to watch it again, its so special.
Love the bottle of jack on the fireplace mantle. Lucky dogs
Dave Matthews with HRH Jane Goodall in peace and serenity. A duo to be respected and not to messed with.
Perhaps my favorite song Dave has written. Along with the riff its so simple and complex at the same time...and played in front of a fire at a camp with Jane Goodall? I mean Com'on...lol
That's a duo...ty Miss Jane Goodall and David J. Matthews ☝️💜 -jc
Beautiful ballads that warm the heart and stirs the soul.the inventor of Zenith radio Eugene McDonald and Philo Farnsworth inventor of television elevate the art of tinkering and dickering. along with Emile Berliner inventor of the victrola among the pantheon of innovators. cheers.
This video shows the serene nature of Jane... she spent decades peacfully watching Chimps and that translates into her being able to quietly watch a master at his craft
This is just so encapsulating. It warms my soul every time I pull it up.
What an amazing glimpse into two beautiful worlds!
I wish I could string the words together to express just how thankful I am to you for sharing this video. This song means so much to me and instantly brings me to tears over my late mother and every line in this song is beyond accurate. I don't know the reason he wrote it or what it means to him but for me it's crystal clear. My mother passed 4 years ago from lung cancer and this song instantly takes me to the hospital on the night she passed. It not only describes her broken journey in life but also her thanks to me for being there to take her "home". I had just moved from Florida to be with her after 21 years of a long distance Mother/Son relationship that didn't include enough phone calls and not nearly enough visits. It was the best 2 months of my life and at the time I didn't know it because she didn't want me to worry and said the doctors were happy with the results of the treatment and to come back in 3-4 months. Paperwork I found after her passing said she had 3-4 months to live and didn't want me to worry about her. I didn't recognize Jane at first nor did I have the patience to read the captions below before watching this and thought it was his mother he was singing this to. Seeing the way he would glance at her and then quickly turn away because that is how I would have to sing it to my mother if she were hear today. I know from the conversation I was lucky enough and blessed to have with her that last night THIS is our song for the rest of my life and could never thank Mr. Matthews enough for writing it and his talent has changed my life. This song is not very popular for him to perform live and it is limitied online I felt the need to attempt to tell you how grateful this guy is you decided to post it. This is one of those old Master Card commercials that end with one word that describes a moment perfectly........priceless
HAPPY 48TH BIRTHDAY DAVID MATTHEWS !!!!!!
Loving Wings is, hands-down, my favorite DMB song. And this version is so raw and beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I've seen this non-stop now. Just love!! 💕💕💕
Very cool!!! Love hearing him in just a room with no EQ or reverb.. It really proves how little they do to his voice most of the time!
♥️
This song and this version really pulls at the ole ❤
Feel privileged to be invited into their front room..
I love this whole video just as much as the sounds.
