I know you guys were focusing on the front drive shaft, but after a 2"-3" lift, can you still run it with the stock rear shaft? Mine is 2WD. Great video as usual!
Someone help me, please, tell me why it breaks the bushings above. In such a short time, if anyone knows about the originals, if it's true what brand they are.
little bit of confusion here i have an 04 wj straight 6 select trac 4x4 and it has the repezza and i want to switch to a dble-c but i keep seeing things having to do with the 242 and 247 transfer cases where one you have to grind off about 1/2" of splines on the yoke to convert how do you find out this information on which one you have
I am doing a swap to 242 so i get the part time 2wd. also doing a 7 inch long arm kit so will need to buy the SYE(slip yoke eliminator) kit. That fixes the grinding problem. You could just swap the slip yoke from your 247 to 242 if you have a small lift under 4inches.
Find the driveshafts here : ebay.us/ceFrK2
They are only available periodically about 1 a week.
