@@SpiralDesignWorks My WJ needs a lot of things done to pass it's next state inspection. However these are the things that I would replace to create such a beast as yours. Shocks, control arms, exhaust but then there'a a few others that need attention too, like the radiator, exhaust manifold and the oil pan. But this has been my favorite car, THE MIGHTY JEEP, so here I go.
Rather envious of all the tools for design you have on hand to use. Like the computer 3D modeling, mostly the laser cutter for the prototypes. If I was younger I’d come down an apply for a job. I’ve trained with Auto-Cad, certified welder since 1973, pipe fitter welder for 20 years, Carrier Corp Engineering, Research and Development as prototype facility lab tech. Now I’m 67 yrs old retired. Like all you are designing, great craftsmanship and final products.
A 03 WJ owner / lover, here... That is one fantastic looking bumper, it has amazing lines... KUDOS... That is one of the sharpest looking WJs that I have ever seen, it makes me jealous, I have wrenched away on mine, new front end, long arm lift kit... serious steel bumpers... yadi ya...I had to stop the video and go look more closely at mine, with removal of the inner bumper and material you cut away. Only to have complete the video saying and to have you show steps, in the last few minutes... this and this and this [finish with (something like) that's all] I sat deflated in hopes monetarily. I am capable, but .not. a master fabricator like yourself... no way I could do the finish work as you have done... Impressive man, it is 'like a highly capable, functional show car'... I sit, I marvel... and dream a little.
We were is such a rush to get on the road for our overlanding trip from Florida to Canada and back that I probably missed some of the final install times. Good luck on your WJ.
Piece of art ,great clean job .In fact this the best job i ever seen. Bravo gentlemen ! Unfortunately i don't live in America, but if i was there i would be your best customer.
Así debería producir con calidad de materiales de arrastre ! Y protección a estructuras de los vehículos… con plásticos, es una burla y con costos prohibitivos… adelante!! Felicitaciones 🍀
@@SpiralDesignWorks great to hear I watch most of your videos today and I'm amazed by the work. Amazing work on the front and rear fenders as well. I love how the jeep turned out.
I'm absolutely loving your WJ build, I would defiantly buy the DIY kit for the bumper and the headlights, you should also think about making the rear side window hatch you made for sale too!
3 year ago i see the vid and make me start thinking about do it to my wj, i think this its the moment to start doing It, i been watching to many ideas but yours Is the Best, thanks for share your work its amazing. Today Is the day, gonna start whit a little thing, and another little thing until give It done Pd the headlights works ITS brutal i like It to
Agreed. To many ask how much then crap themselves when they ask how much. It takes so much time, stress, and patience to build stuff. By the way, how much for the fender and bumper you did on this beast.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I found it on your website currently out of stock but I’ll be waiting and looking. Thank you so much for designing this I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Your channel has given me a lot of great ideas, I love your videos👍🏻
This is not only a great video but super in-depth!! I’d be curious who didn’t like this as it approaches 100 dislikes.... I love this build, beautiful jeep!!! 👍
Thank you so much. Who knows people are never satisfied. I do all the work plus camera shots, editing etc. I am a one man band so I can only do so much. I don't have a team of editors making everything super professional and polished.
I like it, it really looks great, it looks like a cross between a military Hummer and a military Jeep, I really like it, I would like to do that to my Jeep.
I love it I am not a off-roader. But I definitely appreciate your craftsmanship and ingenuity. I have a WJ 2000 straight 6 2 wheel drive. So definitely not capable of going off-road. And since I drive 120 miles a day back and forth to work. I went in a different direction by lowering it with springs and KYB shocks. And after looking at the front end for quite some time I figured that a SRT bumper would fit. I ordered one aftermarket fiberglass just in case it didn't. Well it kind of did but it was about 5 in too wide so I took 5 inches out the middle bonded it back together 😂😂😂 and made a bracket that holds it . Fits great. Added Challenger rims that I got five for 415 bucks . It handles like a sports car. The Challenger rims do not fit. Added adapters in the back I did not mind them poking out an inch or so. But in the front I went to a speed shop and had my new rotors and hubs drilled to take a challenger bolt pattern. So the front is flush.
send me some pics to james@spiraldesignworks.com I have another one sitting here and thinking of streeting it with an LS conversion and twin turbokies.
@@SpiralDesignWorks I love WJ's, this is what brought me here, I currently have two, a 03 Limited and a 04 Overland, the overland is getting a lift and I was going to put flares on it, but now I am going to copy your design (if that's OK of course), I will also be fabricating a new front bar, but it wont be as extravagant as yours. I took my 04 on a trip with my father and my son to a place called Newnes is N.S.W, I'm from Australia, did a bit of wheeling, we had a great time, sadly it was the one and only trip the 3 generations of us went on, as my dear father passed away last year. :( My Jeep however lives on, I have owned Jeeps for 26years and had over 40 of them, mostly FSJ's now my daily is a Commander, which I LOVE, but me heart lies with the WJ which is why I will never sell it. I have had it 7 years and it has never once let me down. Here she is at Newnes, the video is in two parts. Hope you like it. ua-cam.com/video/atYoLf9-Zac/v-deo.html
I actually have a dream of shipping my Jeep to New Zealand when it is done and traveling for like two months. That would be so awesome. I have old family there too.
@@SpiralDesignWorks I did a pretty decent job on getting her stuck right?. Never run into quicksand before, will be more careful in the future :) You might be interested to know that I used to run a Jeep Wreckers where I would ship our tail lights, center console and T-bar shifters to you guys, as well as out amber marker lights.
This is by far my favourite wj front bar I’ve seen. Looks simple yet aggressive and not too in your face at the same time. Nice work man.
Best Cherokee bumper I’ve seen hands down
Thank you!
Super travail propre et fonctionnel sans dénaturer le WJ
Thank you. Factory clean look is what I go for.
The headlights and badass front bumper changed the WJ into a different looking beast. Well done
Thank you. Yes it really updated the look.
It is a "BAD ASS BUMPER". I keep coming back to your video.
Thank you so much. We are hoping to start another round of them for sale soon.

That jeep is sick. The gray and orange go together good.
Thanks for watching. I love the color combo too. It was going out on a limb for me, I am usually a red accent guy. But I am glad I did.
Probably the best WJ I’ve ever seen
WOW thanks I really appreciate that.
I really like how the winch is so recessed and not sticking way out front where it's more of a weight factor. Great design!
Yes it is tucked in as close and tight as possible. Thanks for watching.
Best looking WJ bumper I've seen.
Thank you!
Probably the best looking Grand Cherokee bumper i've seen!! And HAND made!! Great work!!!

Work of art. This is a beautiful bumper.
Thank you so much. Makes my day to get this kind of feed back.
As a jeep owner I like the way you incorporated the 7 slots in the bumper to match the grill 👌
Thank you. I spent a lot of time visually lining up the sides and shapes to make it look correct. Many many wood prototypes.

I should have a second generation design back from my laser guy this week. I cleaned up the design and more self jigging for easy DIY.

I like the way you did the shackle mounts - skeleton welded to a solid piece. That adds a bunch of strength w/o adding that much weight.
Thanks, they look great and thinner material to source and cut. So it is a win win.
