The fact that Rogue One is inspired by Nam makes this even better.
Star Wars ANH was inspired by Nam.
@@arcturionblade1077 It wasn't. A New Hope was inspired by World War Two--specifically the Dam Busters and 633 Squadron (where a squadron had to fly down an AA fortified fjord and hit a specific point on a cliff face to destroy the heavy water facility beneath it. If anything, Return of the Jedi was probably inspired by Nam with the forest dwelling locals harrying their technologically superior enemy by using the terrain to their advantage.

1:10 “Get some, get some, get some”!
*Ironic* considering the rebels actually ended up helping the wealthy core regions more than they ever did the mid/outer rim
The empire was even more guilty of this. It honestly seems like there are no good guys in Star Wars. Maybe the separatists are actually the best faction, at least they seemed to really care about aliens and the outer rim. Then again, their whole model was based solely on corporate greed (and, in the background, Sith manipulation). The whole Star Wars universe is just fucked.
