And as a rule of thumb, rockers (even the nice ones) are not afraid to give you a taste of your own medicine if you start fights in the crowd (i.e. punch you in the fucking face)

I’m thinking that there’s more to it. The guy likely wasn’t wearing the shirt, he was probably holding it up and shaking it at Axl, trying to get a reaction out of him, which he did lol. It makes sense, since Axl asked the security to hand him the shirt, which means it was already off of his body.

Probably the best concert ejection I've seen (As a recording) was Andy Beirsack dealing with hecklers, and his response "If you think you're so good, get up here, and play our guitars for us!". And then the part when Andy actually jumped in the crowd and fought the guy after he said that they were copying Motley Crue. Which they then went on to play Kickstart My Heart.
“Aren’t you going to be real embarrassed when a motherf*cker wearing mascara comes down there and beats your f*cling face in” or something along those lines is my personal favorite part of that situation.
They each lost a fan that day but gained everyones respect and even more fans.

Sometimes yeah, she's had certain people removed from her shows, but she often talks to them like they are her children to calm them down first, and it usually works- that way no-one gets kicked out, but a lesson is learned.
