OK! Bill is my favorite. Please have a collaboration again with him, Summer. Invite him to your house. Tea time with Growers or Botanis in your house probably is my dream episode on Homestead Brooklyn that I would love to make it happen.
I love your casual interviews. You get the most information from the growers and they don't seem rushed. And that variegated at snowflake at the end....Whoa!
Wow a treat! All those plants are gorgeous ... wonder if they're difficult to maintain indoors. Enjoyed watching you asking good questions about each of them and us learning something about these beautiful, unique and exotic plants. Thanks a bunch and kudos.
i love all your videos because they are so informative and funny. i also love looing at your faces as you talk about the plants, it's pure love and joy
I loved the episode, and I really appreciate the rigorousness of the information mixed with a casual, relaxed way of communication. Oh, and that Anthurium 'Queen of hearts'...
Really good questions! I like hearing about the different growers stories of how they got started, why they got started, and how they've seen the industry/ their local environment has changed.
That was such a great conversation. Didn't look like and interview. Very casual and natural! Bill seems so approachable and really invested in his work. Thanks Summer for these videos! :D
What an amazing interview! He was clearly a bit nervous, but wow... he got really comfortable talking about plants. And the knowledge that flowed out of him... he really has a passion for it! Cant wait to see the tour through his personal collection!!!! Thank you for this shared knowledge. No way could I or an average person get that level of info. Hed be so bored of me. Hahaha
this was AMAZING. i needed that variegated shefflera at the end. i had a beautiful alocasia last year, unfortunately the winter killed it in my apartment. but i'm still learning to mastery behind taking care of these plants. i'm at around 55 total plant babes in my little place. so happy i found your channel. very authentic work.
This is such a wonderful series... really enjoying the way you are making a simple topic so interesting and bring out the joy of growing plants in both the viewer and people being interviewed.... :)
Great interview!! I have been around the horticultural block a time or two, but HoleeeeeCow -- I had NO IDEA before watching this that there were SO many hundreds of Anthurium species! And to think that our florist type cuts are derived from only a handful of them.....
I just purchased a juvenile Water Dragon and I’m excited to see the color turn burgundy as it matures. There aren’t videos on that one. I’m waiting on my Ace of Spades to ship more excitement for me.
I'm a brand new (just now) subscriber! Happy New Year! I realize this video is older; but, it's very recent to me! This video was very enjoyable to me! I was away from houseplants for a long, long time and only messed with outdoor plants in my lawn & gardens. I used to be focused solely on succulents; then, my daughter gave me houseplants for my birthday and NOW I'm wonderfully addicted to hoyas and probably always will be. Seriously! I've amassed 30+ different kinds in a few short months! I'm a maniac! 😆 I'm still interested in other houseplants, too; but, hoyas are my first choice. I REALLY like this video and it must REALLY be exciting to be there during that event! Is there a play list/watch list for your videos or no? Specifically, what I'm looking for is: EP 1 or 01 or 001 or whatever format you may have begun with. You're a very good interviewer & reporter and I like your voice. It's truly refreshing to find UA-camrs who aren't so self-absorbed that their main focus, INSTEAD of plants, seems to be their fake eyelashes, nail color, the outfits they're wearing or the cars they drive! That may be what some subscribers/viewers are interested in; but, I'm not! I take plants seriously and want to learn as much as possible about them! I hope you continue to make these great videos! Thanks for sharing! 🌾💜
aHMAWgod, that Anthurium hybrid is fantastico. 10' leaves? That one needs a z12 or 13 garden. The small Alocasia sp. can be used as pond plants in shallow waters in shade. Or,on pedestals in aquariums or indoors ponds. Adds the exotic look.
Why do the leaves turn brown, I don't know what to do, the plant looks like it is dieing, I cut off the dead leaves and gave it some plant food stakes, Thanks
Is distilled water the same as demineralized water? Can I use water called „demineralized” to water my Calathea Ornata? it’s the only person that told the difference between brown edges and brown tips! Thanks!:)
Hi!, Can we get an in-depth tour of all your plants as in a one by one thing😅😂 I know it takes a real long time to film but yah know hehehe BTW luvthe vid!!!!💚
Hey guys! Not sure where to go with this question so figured I’d turn to the community here- my indoor string of pearls and burro’s tail are increasingly developing these weird off-white calloused patches along with chunks taken out of leaves- it looks like the plant’s being eaten, but I can’t find any signs of pests! Anyone have any guesses as to what’s going on or how to troubleshoot?
You might look at the soil look under the leaves water with rainwater and then at the last ditch effort take a picture of the damage and show it to the nearest plant nursery or Greenhouse they'll tell you what it is.
I didn't notice till you mentioned it but I did notice how many times he interrupted her...He's incredibly knowledgable and his plants are exquisite. I get the excitement but he only spoke over her when she was making comments, not asking questions. It irritated me, lol.
Truly exquisite display; he's clearly a wealth of knowledge but dude. . .If you're able to contain yourself while she's questioning you, you're capable of letting her share her observations, knowledge, and experience without interruption. I get the excitement. . . I do. . .but let her finish what she's saying!
Your interviewing style is so easy to watch, great questions, loved this and he blew me away with his knowledge and sweetness.
OK! Bill is my favorite. Please have a collaboration again with him, Summer. Invite him to your house. Tea time with Growers or Botanis in your house probably is my dream episode on Homestead Brooklyn that I would love to make it happen.
Episode 166.
I love your casual interviews. You get the most information from the growers and they don't seem rushed. And that variegated at snowflake at the end....Whoa!
Alice Pace ki
The way they interact is so adorable.
He is so lovely, what a contagious smile! Thanks for the info, I didn't realize such a big plant show happened in my backyard. You rock!
He’s adorable
He is soooo adorable.
I like the way Summer makes people happy.
Wow a treat! All those plants are gorgeous ... wonder if they're difficult to maintain indoors. Enjoyed watching you asking good questions about each of them and us learning something about these beautiful, unique and exotic plants. Thanks a bunch and kudos.

Love what you do and do it well. A rule for life!
I loved the episode, and I really appreciate the rigorousness of the information mixed with a casual, relaxed way of communication. Oh, and that Anthurium 'Queen of hearts'...
Besides being informative and knowledgeable, this man is very funny and has a sense of humor.
Really good questions! I like hearing about the different growers stories of how they got started, why they got started, and how they've seen the industry/ their local environment has changed.
I decided to watch the video again just to listen to how this guy naturally talks especially about his childhood.
That was such a great conversation. Didn't look like and interview. Very casual and natural! Bill seems so approachable and really invested in his work. Thanks Summer for these videos! :D
I go to Florida Keys each winter - I will definitely check out Silver Krome Gardens in Homestead! What a nice guy!

I had that thought as he is ...handsome in normal way.

when are you visiting himmmmm?!
I was like mesmerized watching this video. :D
wow
For the fussy plants use water from your dehumidifier
When is the TPI plant show???
Soo many collections... Wonderful. Why don't you come up with a video on clematis vine?
Alocasia Maccorrhiza Omg ❤️❤️
Calatheas are a bit more fussy about water type 🐼
But gorgeous!
aHMAWgod, that Anthurium hybrid is fantastico. 10' leaves? That one needs a z12 or 13 garden.

The bad news is: if you can only save 3, you'll die trying to save Big-Bill. The good news is: this interview is so sweet.
Is there a convention like this in Texas?? I soo wish I knew about this when I was living in Florida 😩 amazing!!🌱🌱🌱✌🏼
Did you visit him?
Is distilled water the same as demineralized water? Can I use water called „demineralized” to water my Calathea Ornata? it’s the only person that told the difference between brown edges and brown tips! Thanks!:)

Gm edagdwg love this video enjoying the plants linda j ☮️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯
👍❤👍
I did not know my country (Indonesia) had any prominent calathea breeders!
Somebody please give me the breeders address here in Indonesia, I will be on my way in a sec! 😁
Chilliwack bc supposed to have the best water in Canada and my bamboo died from it :(
Has anybody else noticed him moving/twitching his right shoulder a lot?
I didn't notice till you mentioned it but I did notice how many times he interrupted her...He's incredibly knowledgable and his plants are exquisite. I get the excitement but he only spoke over her when she was making comments, not asking questions. It irritated me, lol.
Take a beautiful lady, have her focus her smile and attention on a man, and he will bloom just like those plants she loves.
If there were a fire my alocasia stingray is the #1 plant I’d save.
