It's so refreshing to see someone using and wearing a watch at any occasion like a real human being and not treat it like some sort of jewelry. Keep up the great work. Love your relaxing content
Wow no polish or service in 19 years! What a beast. Also I don't know if I'm looking forward to the snowfall here in Canada... Good luck on the fasting and getting back in shape 💯 takes dedication to do that during the winter months
This was a really nice video, thank you. Here in the Niagara region, Canada, we are still waiting for our first snowfall.. I am also excited to welcome that change and reflect on things.
Wow what a great and perfect timed video for me to watch! I have and love my 16610 (M series) Sub but more importantly after my not so good visit to my Dr. a few days days ago I actually worked out yesterday for the first time in quite a while saying to myself “It’s Time” !! I need to shed 30-40 pounds for my healths sake and found your video Heaven sent and inspiring to me!! A beautiful video in the Snow! Being in Southern California I’d have to go to the mountains to make a video like that but again your video may inspire me to do so!!… As much as I love your video for the watch, which I own and agree wholeheartedly about it being the BEST SUB ever, our health is everything and I pray my inspiration I’m feeling at this moment sticks and I’ll be forever indebted watching this particular video!! I’ve seen your video before and will now Subscribe! ❤️
I lived in San Diego for a few years. While the weather was great, I still missed the change of seasons. I feel much better since stopping alcohol and running on the treadmill- better sleep, more energy, more time. I hope I can keep it up. Health is my most important asset.
Yes San Diego is hard to beat! I’m in Orange County but go to SD for work all the time. I spent my first 28 years in Jersey and Boston so I’ve seen enough of that stuff lol!! But again I can always go up the mountains within a couple of hours for snow….. again a wonderful video!!
Just had our first snowfall in Orange County NY, I need to get myself back in shape too. Thank you for the inspiration and another great video😊 I have a bluesy and a no date sub both ceramic. I love them both but I will eventually add a five digit sub to my collection.
Great effort. Love the watch and channel. Im looking to buy a 2005 Rolex 16710. The year i joined the Army. I wanted to buy it at the time but life got in the way. Take care from Scotland.
Beautiful and meaningful timepiece for your upcoming journey. Nice to learn of your past service in the Navy. I've been a follower for a while for your tastes in Leica, watches and men's coats. Happy Holidays and best wishes.
Wow sounds like we’re on a similar journey. My sub is from 2004 and I’ve been wearing it on heavy rotation too. Dropped 4kg and 1.5 inches in 4 months with 15000 calories a day. Almost daily exercise with weights and cardio. Also hurt my right shoulder awhile ago and never fully healed properly. Still trying to looose another inch but seemed to have plateaued. Keep it up man and post your progress, it’s gonna encourage me. Thanks 🙏
Thanks, I periodically need to look for ways to change things up when I hit a wall. Right now, it is low calorie, high protein, no alcohol, and sleep quality. Later on, I will probably need to add some re-feeding days and change up my exercise routine. It's a challenge.
I've been putting-on weight since Covid, so decided to do something about it. I've been jogging for years, so exercise is not the problem: it's just food. But I don't like high-quality food; I've never eaten a salad in my life. So this summer I decided to keep eating-out for lunch every day, but only eat half the lunch, take the other half home, and eat that other half as my evening meal. Yes, I'm hungry each evening for a couple of hours, but you get used to that. In fact, _shouldn't_ we be a little hungry each day, instead of simply eating out of routine? Anyway, it's a life-change that I'll do till the end, and I'm fine with it. I'll assess benefits in three or so years.
Most people mistake ‘hunger’ for ‘not being full’. ‘Hunger’ is going 2-3 days without food. Naturally, we should not be full most of the day. Most of the day, we should have an empty stomach, and feel comfortable with that. if someone eats every 2 hours, that is what they will feel accustomed to.

i do a lot of the same things you mentioned. cut alcohol by ~97% (miss it but also alcohol free mentality), intermittent fasting (except for traveling days). carbs is the main things that gives me weight. I am in Asia for now, and enjoy the local carbs and this is the only reason why I am chubby a bit hehe. been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 years now, it really is an amazing framework. Also I did 3 day fasts every month for a year, now that makes you feel amazing. i stopped because 12 three-day fasts in a year was pushing it with marginal benefits, will go back to it for sure in the future. good luck mate.
18-hour fasting is very easy for me to do now on a daily basis, but longer than that gets difficult. My longest is 48 hours. I'm thinking about trying for 72 hours just for the mental experience. I'm in a battle with my skinny-fat genes. I'm resigned to the fact that I need to stay low carb and high protein, and I also need to build muscle. And alcohol was just holding me back.
That’s a bit low my friend! It’s just not sustainable. You can do the same (lose weight and decrease inflammation) with only a slight kcal deficit. Like 300-500 kcal deficit per day. More than that will lead to more muscle mass loss than you want. I also agree with cutting out the EtOH, I did a year ago and don’t plan to go back. Been sleeping better, and workouts are better!
I have a small frame and I'm not super active, so I only burn 2,000 cal/day. I'll try 1K cal/day for another 2 weeks and keep an eye on my strength level and weight. But I will probably hit another plateau and will need to add more calories eventually. How long did it take for you to regain energy and performance after quitting alcohol?
@@sc1 it was definitely becoming a bad habit for me and I was drinking craft beer several times a week. Within a month I was out of the habit and not really wanting it and I was able to see the humongous benefits. Initially I had to find something different to do with my time when I had afternoons off, which I did by going on walks and reading (two activities that aren’t great with booze). After a month I rarely thought about it anymore and was sleeping so much better I decided I was going to likely kick it forever. I’m on vacation now and while in the evening occasionally part of me feels it would be nice having a cocktail, I also really like feeling GOOD while on vacation and for me it was getting to a point where even 1-2 drinks would make me sleep like crap and the following day was much less enjoyable. Anyway, it has been a good choice for me!
Is the 16610 the best variation of the submariner date? I think it may be. I have a question: have you ever had a Rolex just lose its amplitude? My Explorer 1, for some unknown reason, just had its amplitude drop below 200° and is now losing 7-16 seconds per day. It’s under warranty so I’m not concerned about repair. But I’ve never heard of this happening and it’s never happened to my other ones.
Is it the newest generation (36mm or 40mm)? If so it could be the dreaded amplitude issues that have been plaguing the 32xx movements. It's actually a pretty well-reported issue. You just need to get it repaired under warranty, but some owners continue to have issues even after repair. If it's the older gen (214270), that would be a bit strange for it to have issues already while under the warranty period, but it can happen and you just need to get it repaired.
Nice video 👍🏼If you just want to reduce your body fat percentage, you could simply avoid a little carbohydrates. 1000 calories a day will only make you thinner. Good luck with your new goals.
I’m over 50 now. Made changes. You will loose weight rapidly with 1000 calories. I’d be concerned about mental function with so little calories. Loose skin too. Try 1800 calories with the healthy food and exercise. You’ll drop fast. and don’t get me started about alcohol. Let’s just say zero is my new number…
Is it fair to say that wearing an excellent replica of a Rolex pepsi gives the same release of dopamine as when wearing an original? No joke. Since childhood I have admired the Pepsi but only earlier series which had the ones with a wider / chunkier strap. I bought a replica and put on a rubber strap. Honestly, if you have a certain personality and fit physcial build, people do not doubt at all when wearing for daily use, at least not in the general public. Lol. Ofcourse I would not wear it amongst those who have knowledge. I find it very difficult to justify as an investment , even with the addition of fulfilling a childhood fondness. I would honesty appreciate you opinion on this. Regards
No, sorry, wearing a perfect replica would not give me anywhere near the same satisfaction as wearing a genuine ROLEX… No matter what other people thought… I would know. If I didn’t want to spill that much money into Rolex, I would much rather buy a pre-owned Omege, Seiko, or Hamilton.
@sc1 Money isn't an issue by the grace of god....only the justification. Craftsmanship of an original Rolex is beyond question, no doubt. Another fact that I missed is that the quality of fake will quickly fade when exposed to the elements. Yes, this expenditure can now be justified. Thank you. Your videos are relaxing and informative. Kindly keep producing. Appreciated.

Ireand, no snow but cold. Just picked up a no date 124060 from AD yesterday. Nice video as always, thank you
Congratulations. Great Watch 124060.
This was a really nice video, thank you.
Here in the Niagara region, Canada, we are still waiting for our first snowfall.. I am also excited to welcome that change and reflect on things.
I’m surprised we got snow in Pennsylvania before Canada, and a heavy one.
Always enjoy. Have had multiple snow days already but we are at Park City Utah

Man I miss my old Leicaflex 35 mm camera!! Should have held onto that one!!
Nice video. I always try to remember to make sure I’m sitting down when putting my socks on.
Yeah, I was careless and standing up. The socks were tight and when I pulled, I felt a snap in my low back and sudden pain.
Being healthy also helped me save for my next watch 😉
Just had our first snowfall in Orange County NY, I need to get myself back in shape too.

Northeast Pennsylvania here. It was a pretty snow day.

Cool. Good luck.
The perfect watch for most… 👌

I quit alcohol more than a year ago.
The thought of it now gives me a headache.
Not sure if it’s given me huge health benefits, but it doesn’t hurt…
I was feeling better, but then I failed at 22 days. I will eventually quit.
Congratulations on quitting alcohol. It does wonders for your health.

As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, MAMACOO is a good choice.
Love the vid , i think that pull ups you did is the real trophy 🥇Cheers to more good health and to beautiful watches , Mr SC 👍👍👍
thanks!
Snow yesterday in Baltimore, wore the Grand Seiko SBGP015 ❄️
the good time when there were discounts for stainless steel rolex. Goodluck on your new health routine.

Navy?! not only you cool with making vids, you also national hero!
Send me the solid gold Daytona. I’ll take good care of it while you’re wearing the Sub!

Dubai no snow yet 😎
no steak & salad today 😅

I’ve heard of some issues with the 32 movements, but I haven’t personally had problems.

Makes sense. Cutting out the bread and alcohol should reduce my carbohydrates.

I'm arriving late to committing to be alcohol-free, but I might finally be on the way there.
I’m also taking a break from alcohol since 2021😂

First snowfall today Yorkshire uk 🇬🇧
