I just don't get how Ebay can charge the 12.55% on top of postage and shipping/handling, which is paid by the buyer, but we use our labor and gas to get that item into the shipping stream, and the shipper's services have already been paid for.
you didn't mention that the previous FVF ignores taxes where as the new one does not. if you sell an item for 100$ and there is a 10% sales tax $100 + $10 = $110. the new FVF fee is 12.35% of the TOTAL INCLUDING TAX (12.35% of $110). Question, how can I pay my fees honestly? When I want to pay I can't select PayPal as a method and that's the only that shows up. When I want to select an automatic payment method it says the card is not supported while it is even added on my PayPal account.
@Max Kellerman they charge you to list shit. There is no way to profit on ebay after 2011 when they dipped in on the total sale charging fees on the shipping also.

Hi There Samson. Im thinking of starting an ebay store to sell unwanted items as we are downsizing. Is there a starter store in Australia or is basic the lowest priced store??
1:20 - The problem with eBay charging 30p for a transaction, is that when you refund a buyer because for example their address is wrong or whatever other reason, eBay will NOT refund you the 30p transaction fee, but PayPal does! Also, at 2:12 - You mention Australia and show the fees on screen, so if that $0.30 is in Australian Dollars, then as of 21/03/2021 in GBP you would be paying almost 50% less in transaction fee, as $0.30 AUD is £0.17 GBP, but for UK eBay sellers the transaction fee is £0.30 GBP, which is $0.54 AUD. Moreover, Google telling me eBay owns PayPal even though they are operating seperately, which means they actually could be profiting from that 0.30 units of whatever currency they are using to charge for...

they caused me to oferdraft because the money wasnt in paypal so i could pay for the shipping label. so i didnt make any money on the item i sold. plus now a $32 overdraft fee at my bank. plus they now have your ssn to do with it whatever they want.
eBay are no longer charging final value fees at the end of the month. The only fees they will charge then are store fees (which haven't changed), and insertion fees. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Not loving this change. I preferred having immediate access to funds. Also I kept a good amount in PayPal and used my paypal debit to buy things. Now I have to wait a processing day, then the day of deposit, and idk, hopefully I will get the funds on the 3rd day? Also yes, seems more expensive already...maybe in the long run I'll appreciate something about this but right now I'm feeling like they push you into this and it's not something I would have preferred.

Hello, I have a question about ebay I was wondering if you could help me. I mistakenly bought a bicycle that was posted for local pick up only from a man in california, I live in illinois and I can't pick it up. I messed the guy a few times and he won't answer and today he said the transaction was completed. Does the seller have to show proof that the item was given to me or is he able to just rip me off like that?
QUESTION I have sold 1000$ worth of items do I need to manually pay them toe do they take it out of my account also they I just got banned for no reason what do you think it’s about?
No, you don't need to pay manually. And honestly I have no way of knowing why you were banned, I would recommend reaching out to customer service to start.
I want to go back to paypal but I cant find any option , in ebay doesnt exist customer service, they only put some questions with their answer that they want .
It seems like managed payments will be plus going forward. I didn't understand the $20 Paypal fee on a charhe back. Does that mean if a customer has a return then sellers are charge $20 for processing?
No, returns will still be dealt with between you and the buyer. If the buyer charges back their payment on Paypal (basically cancels the transaction by telling Paypal it was accidental) then the fee will be incurred. This is very rare but does occasionally;y happen.
Hello!buyer also pays a 10% fee when buying a products?Because i sold a product for 79$, buyer payed 89$, and i still need to pay final value fees.Does buyer pay 10% and I also need to pay 10%?
Not sure about managed payments in my last payment but gave me 22 ahh lol I sold five items on Sunday. They charged me for all postal labels promoting fees and maybe final but nothing on statement about What buyer paid - confused by this how often do we get it paid it says daily lol that must be joking says it appears in 1-2 days so how long to wait for the total amount sold in land of Oz obviously first few payments umm not sure it better yet but yes soooo glad to get rid of PayPal thanks
When does eBay take their seller fee. I just started selling items on eBay, but my PayPal balance shows how much I made only subtracting the PayPal fee. Why didn’t eBay take their fee?
Hi Samson, i've been watching your videos. Thank you so much! But how do sellers manage free postage with products below 9dollars when parcels cost 9+ dollars + all these fees? Hope you can enlighten me😅
Hey samson awesome vid !i have a question and need some help? Im trying to sell a few (5 or so) trading cards from my collection but all these INVOICE comments are scaring me away because im confused , Will i receive a $200 bill from ebay that i now owe for just trying to sell a card ? Or how do i have a more exact idea of what i will be charged ? Can you please help with this example, lets say i just have a regular account and want to post 1 listing for a card at the price of $550.00 i need to know what i will have to pay and will there still be a ebay monthly invoice? Or does that only apply to someone with a store ? Thanks in advance for any help it’s much appreciated 👍😁
Hi mate, glad you enjoyed the video. I am not sure what is going on with the $200 invoice comments and have stopped responding to them. If you don't pay for a store and are only using your 200 free listings then you will not be invoiced any final value, insertion or store fees under managed payments, your fees will be deducted automatically. Hope this helps!👍
I stopped selling on ebay years ago...the fees seemed to get ridiculous. looking at them again....Man...They charge Fee on the Shipping too...that sucks but udnerstand why they did it because of people messing some. Take the Haslab Galactus which costs 425 bucks with tax. figuring on selling it for like 700 bucks total with shipping...12.5% final value fee, plus 50$ (?) roughly paid to ship it ...only make 140 bucks...good? considering time/effort and cost of the original figure. ugh. I do think about these Fees now when I buy stuff from Sellers and Understand why things are higher and except it more.
Do you know when the 200 free listing kick in? I've been back on ebay since Feb and still only have 49 listing capacity, even though I've had my account since 2005.
If i just sold 1 product this month and i got a 3 dollar fee and then i stop selling next month, would i still get fees that month if i didnt sell anything?
bro i just got back on ebay, i am selling ps4, ps5 and pc headphones, and they only WILL SEND THE money into my account by a BANK TRANSFER... I have no idea what u are talkin about..u are wrong.
Sold my first item on eBay days ago then I saw something called monthly sellers fees?? Are these fees on what I sell or will be deducted monthly even if I don’t sell?
When I am selling items from Europe to US I pay up to 20% form total amount of transaction. Its very high. There are stupid "international fee" and currency conversion rate. Also, if buyer pays State's "Sales tax" I also pay my final value free from this amount. This is completely crazy, because this money is payed by customer to the State, not to me.
Thanks for the video. I’m extremely disappointed. Just sold on EBay a pair of brand leather boots for $45 ( Retail $120) and got an email “ EBay is transferring to my bank $32.85”. Excuse me?
I’m not old enough to have a bank account, is payouts mandatory? I just sold my first item (it took off $43.29) . Will I still get the money that wasn’t taken by eBay?
I just started selling this week and they automatically made it so all money goes through PayPal. Isn't this more expensive for me? I don't like PayPal and would prefer direct deposit
I was planning to list a couple of items soon and am now confused. So after a sale, Ebay deducts their fee's then they proceed to deposit the remainder in to your checking account?
@SamsonTV if they are not charging the monthly fee, what is this invoice that I received, in addition to the automatic fee for each sale? if they are not charging the monthly fee, what is this invoice that I received, in addition to the automatic fee for each sale? ( automatic discount + monthly invoice? ) Explain better, please. Which rates are automatically charged and which are the monthly charges in the invoice. What percentage of the total sale? Thank you
@@SamsonTV Final value fees are automatically charged (what fees are these?) On managed payments. Insertion and store fees will be billed (insertion fees, what is it?). How much value in percentage of each? Tks
Lately when I finish setting up a listing and am ready to post it, eBay says something like “proceed with $0.30 posting fee”. I would ignore it and go ahead and post. Then the posting fees turned into $1.00. It wasn’t every time, but often. What are these fees?
To be honest, I am not sure why - if it is within your 200 free listings then I would contact eBay and ask why you are getting charged. This is my video on how to call ebay: ua-cam.com/video/qA1dNVO3bAM/v-deo.html
My fees on a sold bluray went up from 14.35% to 15.8 percent because ebay charges their fee on the sales tax. Unfortunately, ebay refused to opt me out of managed payments, most likely because of this very fee, but citing that managed payments will be mandatory by the end of the year. Have yet to find a video that covers this.
Very interesting, so you can still use pay pal, you can use both? Do I have to register for ebay payment management system or it just kicks in? 200 free listening a month wow that awesome, still only have 40 from the 1st of August to the 1st of September so hoping that starts on the 1st of September.

Can you help me? I am not selling on ebay now, i dont have any listings. How can i stop the sellers fee? Thank you.
Payments are only through Paypal?
When does eBay take their seller fee. I just started selling items on eBay, but my PayPal balance shows how much I made only subtracting the PayPal fee. Why didn’t eBay take their fee?
eBay will charge the fee at the end of the month if your not on managed payments.
Hi Samson. I sold nothing and got a 0.01 $ bill. Any idea why ?
What am i doing wrong i checked my invoice. I sold pants for $50. $5.45 for transaction fee and $12.50 for supplemental fees disbursed.
Definitely contact eBay customer support.
Hi Samson, i've been watching your videos. Thank you so much! But how do sellers manage free postage with products below 9dollars when parcels cost 9+ dollars + all these fees?
Hope you can enlighten me😅
Hey samson awesome vid !i have a question and need some help?
Im trying to sell a few (5 or so) trading cards from my collection but all these INVOICE comments are scaring me away because im confused ,
Will i receive a $200 bill from ebay that i now owe for just trying to sell a card ?
After I sold something, ebay emailed me saying i have received some credits. what does this mean?
Potentially fee credits?
does ebay get the seller fee before you are paid by the buyer of the item you sold?
I stopped selling on ebay years ago...the fees seemed to get ridiculous. looking at them again....Man...They charge Fee on the Shipping too...that sucks but udnerstand why they did it because of people messing some. Take the Haslab Galactus which costs 425 bucks with tax. figuring on selling it for like 700 bucks total with shipping...12.5% final value fee, plus 50$ (?) roughly paid to ship it ...only make 140 bucks...good? considering time/effort and cost of the original figure. ugh. I do think about these Fees now when I buy stuff from Sellers and Understand why things are higher and except it more.
eBay is also charging a final value fee of the sale including the sales tax.
Is there an online calculator available for the new management payments? Great video by the way!
Yes! here is the link: www.ebayfeescalculator.com/usa-ebay-calculator/
@@SamsonTV thank you so much for your prompt reply! I am so glad I subscribed to your channel!
@@MaureenBT You can also find spreadsheets online or make one that can easily calculate the fees when you key in the information :)
@@julial3758 thank you Julia! Do you have a link?
How long do transactions take to process? Mine is going on 2 days now
Mines at 4 I tried to contact them but all I get is some fucking bull shit automated message about something completely different, eBay is killing me
Do you know when the 200 free listing kick in? I've been back on ebay since Feb and still only have 49 listing capacity, even though I've had my account since 2005.
I believe it will be when managed payments are fully rolled out, however no date has been given.👍
If i just sold 1 product this month and i got a 3 dollar fee and then i stop selling next month, would i still get fees that month if i didnt sell anything?
I sold an item for $370 and they took $52 as the selling fee and then I still had to pay for shipping.
bro i just got back on ebay, i am selling ps4, ps5 and pc headphones, and they only WILL SEND THE money into my account by a BANK TRANSFER... I have no idea what u are talkin about..u are wrong.
hey does anyone know how i can change it to accept all methods of payment instead of just paypal.
Sold my first item on eBay days ago then I saw something called monthly sellers fees?? Are these fees on what I sell or will be deducted monthly even if I don’t sell?
Very interesting thanks for sharing good content give us an idea thats good explanation keep safe God bless you enjoy keep on vlogging
Thanks for watching!👍
10% off fees for Top Rated Plus sellers? So then they'd end up being 30¢ plus 3%? That's nothin'! Hard to believe?
Great video man! From one ebay seller to another, Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
QUESTION. AS A NEW SELLER WHEN I SIGN UP WILL I AUTOMATICALLY BE PUT ON MANAGED PAYMENTS? THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INFO.
Yes you will be, once managed payments are rolled out. Thanks for watching.
I sold 2 items on eBay and it doesn’t look like I got a charged a final fee. Will I be charged later? I’m a new seller and this was my first item
Hi, where you paid directly via Paypal? If so then you are not on managed payments and will be charged fees at the end of the month.
If you sell an item on eBay do you get charged only after the buyer buys the item and also do you get charged by ebay every month.
On managed payments, the fees are deducted instantly.
Can you use a parents account? Unfortunately you do need a bank account.
I just started selling this week and they automatically made it so all money goes through PayPal. Isn't this more expensive for me? I don't like PayPal and would prefer direct deposit
Are you on managed Payments?
When you say 20$ dispute fee is that a return
No, that is a PayPal dispute charge.
And I was within my “200 free posts”!
So did you stop selling on Ebay? Any other aleternatives? ( New Seller )
I was planning to list a couple of items soon and am now confused. So after a sale, Ebay deducts their fee's then they proceed to deposit the remainder in to your checking account?
If you are using eBay managed payments then that is correct.
I sold 2 items on EBay but missing payment EBay says I been paid but I can’t find payment. Why is that?
Payment can take a few days to arrive in your account.
Ok -Thank you 👍
I only sell one item for $18.98 each free shipping. Only $16.10 is getting to my bank account per sale. This is over 15%. Surely something is wrong?
@SamsonTV if they are not charging the monthly fee, what is this invoice that I received, in addition to the automatic fee for each sale? if they are not charging the monthly fee, what is this invoice that I received, in addition to the automatic fee for each sale? ( automatic discount + monthly invoice? ) Explain better, please. Which rates are automatically charged and which are the monthly charges in the invoice. What percentage of the total sale? Thank you
Final value fees are automatically charged under managed payments. Insertion and store fees will be invoiced. Thanks for watching 👍
@@SamsonTV Final value fees are automatically charged (what fees are these?) On managed payments. Insertion and store fees will be billed (insertion fees, what is it?). How much value in percentage of each? Tks
@@vitalife4312 I would recommend this link for further reading. www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822
SamsonTV thanks! I deleted the subtitle & the charge disappeared!
I’ve been charged $150 a month for the past two months. That’s ridiculous.
I got charged 500 first month 650 last month this month it will be around 1000-1500 I’m livid
Does this still apply to April 29th 2021?
Yes it does.
I feel I will move my business to Facebook market place if they force this on me
me too
My fees on a sold bluray went up from 14.35% to 15.8 percent because ebay charges their fee on the sales tax. Unfortunately, ebay refused to opt me out of managed payments, most likely because of this very fee, but citing that managed payments will be mandatory by the end of the year. Have yet to find a video that covers this.
I am done with ebay, the fee increase is CRAZY!
Very interesting, so you can still use pay pal, you can use both? Do I have to register for ebay payment management system or it just kicks in? 200 free listening a month wow that awesome, still only have 40 from the 1st of August to the 1st of September so hoping that starts on the 1st of September.
Yes, buyers will still be able to pay via Paypal. I believe there will be a registration process but it will be required quite soon.
