I started ebay like 2 weeks ago and no exaggeration ive had 8-10 scammers all ask the SAME THING after the win an item of mine. they ask me to text them OFF of ebay and they provide their phone number. huge red flag, theres no reason for anyone to message you ON ebay and ask if you can message OFF ebay. they'll try to play games offering to pay way more money and all kinds of BS.

Dont do it man! You're gonna end up paying out of pocket for shipping and then you won't get paid until after the item arrives as a new seller! 1st sale might get you paid quick but it's an "accident" (bait and switch) and the next 199 won't pay until like 3 days after your item arrives.
Great video. Quick question, when I go into the add bank account option, there are only options to link a credit or debit card, there are no options on that same screen to add bank accounts for payouts. Curious if you know why this might be. Apologies if I missed something in the video.

@@raheemcamal998 yup it happened to me, even if the shipping service is at fault and you clearly stated NO RETURNS the buyer can just open up a claim and ebay will usually side with the buyer unless you as a seller can prove that the BUYER was doing something shady. Now paypal has sent my account to collections because I refused to pay off the balance owed back after they forced the buyers claim through even though i provided all the proof that the item i sent was in perfect working condition when i sent it. Best thing to do IMO is to just accept that returns are a thing and after selling something on there just keep the money on standby until the buyer receives everything and some time has passed for them to decide if they want to keep it or not.

Hi Samson! Great video. Very informative for a new seller. I am in Canada and my limit was set for 3 items to a total of $200 or 1 item at $200 in the first 45 days then I can request an increase. No more than 3 items. Since my items sell for no more than under $20 that kind of hinders my chances of selling anything. Any advice?

Great video! Question: When you say you don't recommend offering international shipping, does the buyer just know not to bother if they are in a different country, or do they pay for shipping? Am I limited to selling just in the same coubtry?
If you dont have international shipping enabled then the listing most likely wont even appear for buyers in that region. If it does they will be told that the seller does not ship to that location.

11:25 -- 12% of the sale goes to eBay!? I was going to list a brand new laptop I got on Black Friday that I didn't end-up needing but I could still sell it for a great deal and make a 'little' vs. returning it but if eBay's going to take that much, it's not worth the hassle.

Do you think you can run a successful Ebay account with just a cellphone? I just started selling on Ebay, I've been buying on my new account for a couple years and have 25 transactions with 100 percent positive feedback. I listed one item last night to "test the waters" and so far so good. My problem I think should primarily come from shipping. I have a close friend at the post office and I asked them how easy it was to ship once an item was sold and I was told it was as simple as bringing it in, paying for the label, slapping it on and then away it goes. I don't own a desktop computer or laptop anymore and if this method seems doomed to fail, I'd appreciate your feedback and if I need to change it up I will. Thanks! This video was very informative!

I had been selling my quilts I make on Ebay for the past 2 years. I took a break and started making them again after a couple months. I'm from Norway and have 3 games that are for the N/S America region. I'm stuck at the sales tax. How do you keep your sale item pictures organized so you don't get them confused when creating the listing later?
Just general file management, folders named after corresponding storage bins etc.

Do you think you can run a successful Ebay account with just a cellphone? I just started selling on Ebay, I've been buying on my new account for a couple years and have 25 transactions with 100 percent positive feedback. I listed one item last night to "test the waters" and so far so good. My problem I think should primarily come from shipping. I have a close friend at the post office and I asked them how easy it was to ship once an item was sold and I was told it was as simple as bringing it in, paying for the label, slapping it on and then away it goes. I don't own a desktop computer or laptop anymore and if this method seems doomed to fail, I'd appreciate your feedback and if I need to change it up I will. Thanks! This video was very informative!

what do i do if i sold an item but haven't received payments ??? it said payer paid and when i go to selling it says "90 day total" and above that says 100 $, but when i go to payments and check payments on hold it says i have 0.00 in funds so im waiting and trying figure out how to get my 80$

I had been selling my quilts I make on Ebay for the past 2 years. I took a break and started making them again after a couple months. All of a sudden I go to list one and there is a new screen, new rules, no paypal for receiving payment, etc. I hate this new Ebay set up so I hope your video helps me understand these new Ebay screens because THEY are no help. Hi Samson, You mention that you ask buyers to "please pay for purchase within 3 days of buy." Do buyers not have to pay at the time of purchase? I would be reluctant to ship an item if the buyer has not yet paid.
Where is the ebay store shop? Locally in australia? Instead just online and online payment through giftcards credit debit cards but cash only? But a kiosk mobile shop on wheels or and actual shop? Or card only? Cash option? All i got comment now maybe later this month or next months? This year? Ebay musuem idea?

I'm from Norway and have 3 games that are for the N/S America region. I'm stuck at the sales tax. I'm unsure how taxes work and I'm not sure if this is viable to where I live or if it's only for the US citizens, since the only selectable countries are from USA. I also don't know the percentages. I only plan to sell maybe over 10 games that I can't/don't play.
Do the buyers have to pay straight away or whenever they want because you said please pay in 3 days of purchase
