I Just want to say that this video helped me a lot but also i ran through it all as you did with no issues. HOWEVER, i kept everything i already had before i rooted & i actually got to still root the phone. Is that even possible or am i not rooted?

Rooted nexus 5 lollipop 5.1.0 .. I had some issues with teamwin or what is it, it didn t start instaling like on your video, when I hit instal it said somethin like unable to find flash zip.. So I just rebooted system and phone is properly rooted.. Also with busybox.. Thank you so much :) .
Can i skip and uninstall busybox or is necesary to do this?

The one that you linked with Nexus 9 root video is old. And now if I go to android developer page it is showing lot of other option. So confusing. I like how you explain everything in detail. Therefor pls make an HowTo video about setting up ADB as of 2014.

I have not been able to use my cameras on Nexus 10 after Lollipop. Sent back to Samsung ,they did factory reset. Cameras working. Google pushed android updates to 5.0,2 and cameras again not working.Any thoughts?
I'm having trouble with BusyBox. When I try to install it, it says "It looks like BusyBox is installed, but it does not appear to be the version that you selected to have installed, you may want to try the installation again but this time using a different installation location."

i have a glitch problem

When I checked its log? it shows commands like adb reboot-bootloader etc. Those commands can work for other devices too so can I use this for other devices(Non Nexus) too?? The Advanced Utilities has all the options needed for flashing roms....

Hi tim this is a bit off topic i recently havin issues with my nexus 4 and wiko rainbow phone when i plugged them in my pc win 8.1 they are not showing on file explorer. Already uninstall the driver but still no go can you please make a video of it.... I also tried to update the driver and tried the option let me pick still not showing.... Please switch off the phone. Press Vol(-) button and Power button at same time, which shows up the android robot screen. If it says "Lock state : Unlocked" meaning the bootloader is unlocked or vice-versa.

This didn't work on my Nexus 7 with Android 5.1.1 towards the end I get to a screen that says "Teamwin" and gives me the menu I saw when rooting my Galaxy Light. But I can remember what to do now and it won't work if I don't finish properly. =(

No, I haven't found a fix for it yet. I'm considering contacting the guys that wrote the Nexus Rooting Toolkit and letting them know about the problem.

Jacob Wilkin Actually, I finally found a way to root it, and it's much easier than all this stuff. Kingroot.net. Just download the apk and run it in Android. Works perfect. Finally someone figured it out.

I was sketched to try it at first but I'm so glad I did. Worked like a charm. Yes the SU they've created is pretty powerful considering it roots right from the OS instead of the Boot loader, but personally I think it's about damn time they started doing that. As opposed to unlocking the bootloader, rebooting into it, unzipping and installing SU, possibly losing all current data that isn't backed up already, yada yada yada. So yeah, it's a little different but overall a great program. Whoever wrote this thing knew what they were doing. I can vouche for it. Good stuff man.
