Confirming on HDR performance the display can generally achieved 750 to 900 Nits in video/gaming and if brightness values are increased an excess of 1000 nits can be achieved.
@@BTaesthetics Dell offers a 3yr burn in warranty on their OLED monitors. One reason I debated on the AW3423DWF when purchasing a monitor, but ASUS bringing in a 2yr or 3yr warranty is wonderful!
I love my 34 inch alienware aw3423dw oled. I did find i missed the second screen still at this size though. So I ended up buying a dual monitor arm and put a 27 inch monitor beside it. Loving the extra screen real estate with both. When im exclusively gaming I will push the other monitor to the side and have the ultrawide front and center still. Otherwise I have it just slightly off center with the other monitor on an angle to my left.
@@xyzboi-wt9rm I would go with the alienware, especially if you have decent light control in your room. If your room is very bright and you cant control the natural light, it might be worth looking at the pg34wcdm. Glossy + quantum dots is much more vibrant on the Alienware though in a dimly lit/ light controlled room.
One more question - is it actually a 24” “monitor” in that 1080p mode? Since it’s 110 ppi, wouldn’t the middle 1920x1080 grid be more like a 22ish inch monitor? Curious if you could measure and confirm!
I had a G9 supawide. Sold it for an OLED TV with high refresh support and haven't looked back. Too many games give problems with uw monitors to make it worth the hassle, great for productivity though.
I wasn’t impressed with the image quality tbh. The matte+ WOLED just made things grainy and just overall not very good to look at. Extremely hard to recommend this when the AW3423DWF exists. Significantly cheaper, and I found the image quality to be better on it and not to mention the less aggressive 1800r curve. The only downside is that the AW is 165hz instead of 240hz. Might not be a big deal depending on the games you play.
My next upgrade. I currently have the LG 34GP83A-B. Gonna be upgrading to this monitor in July (prime day). Hopefully we see a deal for this monitor in that time
I really like this monitor, but from what I am reading, the curvature is actually too strong. There are also a few nit picky things I dont like about it. - cant turn off the Asus logo at the bottom. - bulky stand ( Gigabyte 34GS95QE does it better) but then again you can mount it to a vesa stand. - Bayer RGB Pattern OLED still in development? supposedly fixing the color fringing. - could the screen borders not be thinner? (my EV2795 from 2020 appears to have the same border thickness)

Thank you for addressing the monitor stand. ASUS and LG are notorious for using those wide leg stands and they require you to have adequate desk space. For anyone whose desk has that elevated ledge for monitors, the desk space is incredibly shallow and wouldn't support this style of monitor stand. So many reviewers omit this and I really would like to see more reviewers commenting on it. It can be a deal breaker for those of us who aren't looking to buy a new desk with their new monitor.
What is the depth of your desk? Mine has 80cm and I'm not sure if this is enough for such a huge monitor to ensure to sit far away enough. Btw: great Video, thanks for that.

Other companies are going w/ 3yrs burn-in warranty, fyi.
EDIT: ASUS updated to 3yrs too!
Who’s doing that? When I researched people reported that it was limited support when it came to burn in. Thanks
@@BTaesthetics ASUS just updated to 3 years too

Dell UltraSharp U4025QW, but its 39,7".

Same I disliked the G9. Had it but never it made a video. This one however is legit for FPS. Thanks for watching!

Can you also make it a 2560x1440 with the esport mode?
I think the black bars inserted for Val technically make it a 2560x1440 monitor but not sure if there’s a monitor setting so I second this Q!

damn..if i want to buy this monitor from new zealand ..have to pay extra over$300 nzd..damn...sad
You can’t play series x at hdmi 2.1. You either play 4k and 1440p at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz.
CSGO has Ultrawide support! Just Valorant doesnt.
damn what is that pc? what rgb fans are you using?

2 year burn in warranty is such a scam when most of the burn in happens around that time…

Did you by any chance check if the monitor is compatible with the ASUS ROG Monitor Desk Mount Kit ACL01?
what is the name of that background @0:37 ??
How is this for CS2?😮😮
How does this compare to the MSI MAG34C1QP, it’s only 175hz but QD-OLED glossy. Does the matte screen affect picture quality?

Is the 800R curve too aggressive? And also when playing in other aspect ratios, are the black bars very apparent?
where did you get the wallpaper

I bet 100% without seeing yet it's not Glossy. (There is always ONE thing) they screw up.
Let's see.. waiting for it. SANDPAPER FINISH? We'll see.
It is AR Matte if you prefer glossy which has its drawbacks as well each has its strengths and weaknesses you can consider our QD-OLED offerings.

thanks i just purchased
is this really that much better then the Alienware 34 dwf?
It is 240hz... I have the Alienware 34DW and love the monitor so much. But I would not mind a 240hz upgrade.
Does this have a matte finish or a glossy finish ?
its matte
Hdr issues
Mine arrives Tuesday 😊
How does this compare to the Alienware AW3423DWF ?
Monitors Unboxed compared it. Basically QD OLED is better but only 165hz.
Brightness was not a problem in first gen OLED monitors. Some LG ones were so so, but the very first samsung panel definitely is not dim.
WOLED brightness sucked but QD OLED has always been good, you're right.
Which cable and port allows you to take advantage of 240 Hz with a 4090?

The Matt coating on this monitor is really bad, avoid it!!!
