Useful video, thanks👍🏼
Just picked this up, it is definitely fuego!! First time ultrawide user here too
Awesome ! Glad you liked it 🔥I'm reviewing the LG 34GS95QE at the moment which is the same screen, but honestly prefer this one because of the USB HUB and USB-C
@@FIREWOLFTECH music to my ears my brother! This one’s a keeper for sure
Thank you for always showing camera recorded gameplay footage rather than onscreen cap.
Do you believe this Asus to be a noticeable upgrade in motion clarity vs the aw3423dw/f?
I appreciate the feedback 🔥 btw what do you mean about onscreen cap lol I'm glad you find the gameplay recordings useful.
As for the aw3423dw/f, the higher frames performance and brighter display would be noticeable and if you have the DWF version, then you also get the benefits of NVIDIA G-Sync. I think a bigger noticeable upgrade would be a 32" 4K 240 QD-OLED if you have a strong GPU, since you'll immediately notice the higher PPI. The AW3225QF is also brighter, but you do go down in aspect ratio so there's a trade-off.
That's nice I love it ❤❤
Thanks 🔥
Great Review! How is the matte coating on this? Do you see a lot of blurriness or almost like an oil like effect on white/light blue images?
the matte coating is great for bright rooms/ lights/ and/or sunlight.
It has a slight fuzzy appearance so that's the worst part about it. If you can control the lighting or use it mostly at night, having a QD-OLED might be better
over usb-c is it possible to use full resolution and refresh rate, usb 3.2 speed from the USB ports, and the power delivery at the same time? I heard that enabling USB 3.2 speed from the USB settings reduces the refresh rate to 60hz
gsync and vsync reduces latency even further vs with only gsync on.
Very nice looking display and LG didn’t lie. It’s definitely brighter than last years panels. To me, spending almost 1500 bucks on 1440p resolution isn’t smart. But with your use case, the features seem to really benefit you.
Rn 1440 at this size screen is a much better value and personally I can’t really even tell the difference between 110ppi and 170 or whatever a “true 4k” or 5k 31:9 monitor with 2160p vertically would be. There isn’t even a graphics card on the market that could even hope to push 240 at 4k natively, so you need to turn on DLSS, and as of the time I’m writing this the only true 4k 240hz monitor I could even find was by LG and it’s 27” 16:9 and $1700+. I saw one from Alienware that uses DSC for like 1300 at 32 inches but at that point you’re spending the same amount of money to compress and super sample the image to hit high refresh rates when you could do the same thing and get even higher fps at 1440 both super sampled and in native. HD2 is a good example, it’s actually a pretty visually impressive game when you’re down on the planets and there’s mobs everywhere, the super sampling technique isn’t dlss though and it sucks balls so I prefer to play at native 1440 max settings and I still get lows in the 80s in the most demanding scenes the game has to offer but usually not going below 100 or so, which is fine for the type of game Hell Divers 2 is and I only have a 4070.
Asus has a 4k 240hz 32 in and this one and there both 1300 usd not 1500
Did you by any chance check if the monitor is compatible with the ASUS ROG Monitor Desk Mount Kit ACL01?
Just picked this up, I do love it but the weird artifacting in hdr is a bit concerning.
Question fam can you change the asus logo color on the monitor
excellent video. Is it possible to attach a benq light bar to this thing? and I am torn between this or the 32 inch dough spectrum black whenever it launches.. Do you review those too?
I looked into the specs of the benQ light and it says it could fit curved screens over 1000R. Since this is 800R, it may not be compatible. I was going to get a benq, but with the recently announced Razer and Asus ROG monitor bar lights, I postponed buying one
as for the 32 spectrum, if they reach out to me for a review I'd review it
Can you do a comparison of all the recently released Asus monitors.
I’ll add that to a list of future videos ! Thanks for commenting again 😅😅
Good video. You have got my like and sub. I would be interested to see the 39 one
Thanks I appreciate that !! 🔥🔥
is there even a 39'' version of this monitor?
@@thecoon1945 yes it does. But it isnt still released no where.
39" one will be nice, until we start discussing PPI. The resolution should be 3840x1600 on such a big monitor..
@@Rayden975 yeah i wont buy the 39 with this resulution, cause it will not be that good due the pixel density
ı like the attach my camera on top of this but cant find to male side thing for it. do you know how can ı search it
Has got the hdr problem on this monitor fixed yet?
LG just launched the 32'' 39'' and 45'' version today alongside the 4k dual mode monitor
PG39WCDM is a 39in version
I like your dragon background, can you share pls 😊
hi between this one and the alienware 3225 qf that you tested recently which one will you choose knowing that I have the 4090 graphics card
I would do the AW3225QF. 4090 is perfect for that
Go for the Alienware 3225QF. That monitor HDR is way better than this and the Alienware 32 in inch would be more immersive than the ultra-wide in 4k. The price is insane for this one costing 1300. If you really want an ultra-wide go with the Alienware's last year model and save some $$$.
What is the depth of your desk? Mine has 80cm and I'm not sure if this is enough for such a huge monitor to ensure to sit far away enough. Btw: great Video, thanks for that.
My desk is about 66cm, so your desk should be fine. If you need more space, then def get a monitor arm.
Thanks for the feedback 🔥
@@FIREWOLFTECH thank you for the response. This information helped me a lot. I ordered the monitor, can not wait to use it. I'm looking forward to see more of your tech content. Best regards
On the 16:59 minutes, how were you able to remove the black bars around the right display ? i m trying to use PIP/PBP mode but both displayed pcs are like you have on the right. I cant fix it.
On the right was my MacBook input, for some reason MacOS didn’t choose the right resolution, so you’ll have to go into Display Settings (on mac) and change it. I forgot the exact resolution, but if you check the resolution on PC it should be similar choice. (I think it’s half of 3440 and half of 1440)
Once you find the correct resolution, you should be good.
I just got this and playing PS5 my whites have a weird blue tint to them, cant figure out why...
Would you recommend this over the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM for gaming?
I haven’t tried that one yet, will be a future review. But it should be similar to the AW3225QF so I would recommend it over this one if you have a strong graphics card to be able to run 4K gaming
@@FIREWOLFTECH Awesome thank you for the feedback!
I'm between this and his "cousin" pg32ucdm, and I don't decide 😬. I've been using a 4k monitor for 5-6 years, and I don't know if I'll miss that extra sharpness... I'll keep thinking about it 🤔
I think the pg32ucdm is a safe choice given your 4K experience
It's not in europe yet
You know you have to drop those anime wallpapers now ...
lmao you can get them all from Wallpaper Engine (Steam) :
- Rayquaza 4K
- Neon Waterfall
- Sword Art Online
- Rainy GTR
- Hystar Mythic Dragon
- Blue Nebula
- Deep Space Dual Screen
The ones from MacOS is from an app called Dynamic Wallpaper
- Neon Vaporware Waterfall
- 4K Peaceful Forest
I am struggling either to buy the 39 inch one or this one. Could the 39 has a worse resulution compared to the 34 one? Or is it the same?
Is the 39-inch available to order for you ? Here in the US I don't think its out yet.
I was reading the article and its saying that it has a 3440 x 1440 resolution which I would hope is not the case because 39 is larger, which would mean the Pixel Density is lower. Might not be a deal breaker, but I am hoping its closer to 3840 x 1440
@@FIREWOLFTECH yes this was my worry with the pixel density. Im from Germany, here arent released any of the new asus monitors yet, but it should to in the next weeks i think and i definitely want to buy one of them.. 34 curved one is for me personally the most interesting now, but i actually miss the 4k here. But i think the oled makes the wqhd even more better, so i will probably choose curved over 4k flat
If you still want 4K then Def try out the Alienware 3225QF, it has a subtle curve
@@FIREWOLFTECH im aware of this monitor and it could be perfekt for me, but i dont think that alienware has good quality panels like LG/Asus has
Rogue?
Why 800R?
Fire!
Dang! I want this monitor! But i think i need to wait half a year or eben a year to buy it, especially since new product like this one always late for south east asia 😅
Damn that's a long wait ! hopefully its sooner
@@FIREWOLFTECH Yeah, I hope they sell it in my country soon. Living in south east asia was really good from living expenses, but we always lacked behind other counties in tech 🤣
@@GanJosie Which county in South east asia?
@@hassanaslam6008 Indonesia
Sucks that it's not available in my country yet.
damn hopefully it comes out soon. Which country by the way ?
South Africa... We never get cool stuff here@@FIREWOLFTECH
1:29
They do though. Its called
"asus pg39wcdm"
Its not out yet, at least in the US. So far they've released the 49, 34, and they do have the 32 listed on their site, but nothing to order yet. I'm really interested to see how the 39 looks and performs
asus did a talked video of the 32" 4k 240hz monitor and said to release Feb. 16 from what he said, so let's see @@FIREWOLFTECH
Idk man 34in you need deep desk for proper distance viewing
you can get more distance with a monitor arm, and its aggressively curved
Please what is h the name of the racing game he played
Racing game is Forza 5
Is the 800r curve to much ?
When you're looking at it, it doesn't feel like its much and it does help with viewing everything on the screen. It feels to much when its like a super ultrawide in my opinion. The only downside is that if you wanted to put a monitor next to it, the curve would make it hard
So I've noticed that there aren't many 4k monitor ads and that some people seem to be realizing that even a 4080 Super struggle to produce a satisfing amount of fps in 4k... my question is: are we actually ready to game in 4k resolution?
Thank you!
(i'm not an expert, sincere question)
I'm not too sure about the marketing aspects of it, but I would assume its because the target audience for 4K 240 is so minimal. A monitor like this one or QHD monitors would be better to market to a broad audience since the majority have less powerful components.
As for 4K gaming, if it wasn't for Nvidia's DLSS or AMD's Fluid Motions, it would take even longer for high frame 4K gaming
so which one would you take for everyday work and gaming ? aw aw3225qf or this one? i need your honest opinion @firewolftech
1:31 thats what she said
But what about colour fringing?
Mentioned at the beginning of the video..
i see motion blurr while you fast turn in cod mw3
That could be the camera capturing or your monitor displaying the 30 fps while he see a 230 htz image.
This has usb c and a kvm, but the stand is not as good as the LG
I agree on the stand, but a monitor arm would fix that 🔥 I prefer this over the LG for the KVM, USB-C, and easier gaming tweaks
It's 4k ??
Not 4K, 3440 x 1440 resolution is about 60% of 4K resolution (4.95mp vs 8.29MP). This is closer to QHD (2K)
This monitor has a 39 inch
U complained twice that you would like a 38inch
I know they have a 39-inch version I’ve reviewed that one as well. I should’ve clarified by saying a 38-inch version similar to their other 38” UltraGear models with 3840 x 1600. The 39 unfortunately is stuck at the same 3440x1440 as this 34-inch one
EDIT : Referring to LG’s 39GS * Haven’t reviewed the 39 ROG version
not glossy :(
It's not that bad 🥲
RoG is pronounced like NFL.
Asus or Samsung G9?
Just got the monitor ordered, and the HX ergo. In regards to the Ergo, did you have to loosen the tension a lot because the monitor is relatively light?
Yes had to reduce it a lot, its honestly overkill. You could also go for their LX or MXV since those hold lighter monitors. I have the HX since I've been reviewing larger monitors
